Start on the Rooftop

Jong Suk was lying on the rooftop of the building he was shooting at today, and was waiting for only one thing. Oh Yeon Joo, Han Hyo Joo. He was so nervous. How could he be so nerve wrecking nervous? It was just a shoot, dammit.
Still it was always the same with him. He would be nervous at every new start, and everyone would understand it, he thought. How could one not? He was working with her for the very first time. Han Hyo Joo.
As someone was spreading more fake blood on his shirt he thought on.
Of course, he would be a person to say to anyone and about everyone that he admired them and adored them for what they did as work. But with her it was different. As he heard about her being a part of this drama, he was unsure if to even take it. She was so good, she was so beautiful. He admired her from her first movie on. This noona would not be easy to take during a shoot, he had thought. What would he do if he didn’t manage to focus? In that same moment he had realized months ago how ridiculous he was. She was a professional actress, just as he was a professional actor. Either he would take a chance or not, he had thought.
And here he was. Hands on him, spreading red thick blood on him, wounded by knives. And there SHE was. Han Ho Joo, even in this darkness more beautiful than he had remembered her from the time they had seen each other at the readthrough.
She wore white sneakers, ironically, he saw them first. Then the grey pants, the striped shirt and the blazer. What he adored though, was her hair. The bangs did something good to her. The new color made her face softer and her eyes brighter. She looked simply beautiful as she stepped closer in this darkness. His heart started beating a bit faster than before. Great, Jong Suk, great start.
She smiled and bend down to him. He could even smell her, he thought. Honey, sweet and fresh. Soft and warm. She was making it impossible to focus.
“So, we are going to pierce you today?” She said and grinned. He was laughing aloud.
“Yes, take care of me please” he answered and lay his head to the side.
She played around with the plastic bottle of water she held in her hand and grinned at this answer.
“If I promise to be amazing at first aid?” She said and raised an eyebrow, challenging.
“Then even more” he said and grinned back, triumphantly. She nodded and looked kind of impressed by his quick-wittedness. They shared a moment, as she sat back and stared into his eyes.
She seemed kind of nervous herself. Was that just his imagination? As she started rocking back and forward though, he realized she was. In a way that made it even worse, he realized. It made him want to be stronger, bigger and the man.
And there he realized this could work out. She was not ignorant, loud, or self-reliant. She was quiet, shy, and holding back. There was a lot in this girl he didn’t quite understand yet.
And this had been the moment where he knew he’d do anything to see what was there beneath.
