Taeyeon was just returning home from his work when he spotted Sunny pulling into the parking lot by his apartment.

     "Thanks, Sunny, for coming. You're a lifesaver. I think you're going to do wonders for Jessica."

     Sunny reached into her car and retrieved a brown paper bag. "I brought her favorite strawberry cake. She's got to remember that."

     "She doesn't remember anything that happened in Hawaii. Or anyone."

     Sunny looked up at him, concerned etched on her face.

     "Even though she's been talking about nothing else but your visit,she still may not recognize you again.

     "So she is still continually improving?"

     "Yeah she's a hundred percent better now than she was a month ago."

     "But she still doesn't remember you're her husband?"

     "Oh, she knows it in her head but not in her heart. I'm just a guy who hangs around to make sure she's on track with her classes and therapy and stuff."

     "That must be tough for you."

     "Tell me about it. I'm virtually a bachelor these days, with a slightly wacky roommate. Whoops, I didn't mean to say that."

     "That's okay. I'm sure you need to vent sometime. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know."

     "You're doing it. I haven't seen Jessica this excited since the accident. I just wish she felt the same way about me."

     Sunny took his arm as they walked toward the apartment. "She does Taeng. You have to believe that. Someday the old Jessica will come back to you."

     "The old Jessica doesn't exist anymore, Sunny, and the sooner I learn to live with it, the bet
