“Alright guys,” The teacher announced. “We’ll be having another project for Geography. It will be a five page report on deforestation.”

Everyone groaned. Including me.

He called out names one by one to assign us all as partners.

I slowly turned my head to the side where he was sitting.

Hmm? What’s that noise?

It doesn’t seem like it’s coming from our classroom....

But it sounds so clear....

MY HEART ONLY BEATS FOR WANG ZIIIIII!!

Oh yes maybe it’s because I’m thinking about Wang Zi right now! Ah-ha! Yes! Of course!

“Aaron Yan will be partners with Xiao Jie,” The teacher finished.

Aaron's POV:

“...Aaron Yan will be with...” As soon as the teacher said this I took a tiny peek at Gui Gui.

No...what am I thinking? -_-

She’s annoying...I wouldn’t want her as my partner....

Gui Gui looked troubled and kept looking around the room, as if there was some kind of fly buzzing around her head and she couldn’t see it.

Suddenly her eyes went big and she started flailing around on her desk.

Yes, I definitely wouldn’t want her as my project partner.

“Aaron Yan will be partners with Xiao Jie,” The teacher announced. I glanced at Xiao Jie and she glanced back at me.

I guess she’s not that bad...I mean, at least I get to look at the letters that Gui Gui gives to her to proof read....

No, all you readers out there, I am not interested in Gui Gui. I’m just...curious that’s all. -.-

“.....and Wu Ying Jie with Jiro Wang,” The teacher continued.

Pffft, those two together? That’s just weird. But I guess dumb people really do match up to dumb people.

Gui Gui looked back at Jiro and he seemed really happy because he kept waving at her.

“Glad we can work together, Gui Er!” He whispered to her from across the room. Everyone stared and Gui Gui gave Jiro an awkward smile.

Gui Er!?

Is that some sort of sappy nickname!?

In a way.....it kind of sounds like they’re dating....

Gui Gui’s POV:

“WHY DO WE HAVE ANOTHER ASSIGNMENNNNNNNTTTT?” I complained to Xiao Jie while we walked to our lockers. “And furthermore, Jiro happened to call me by my nickname out loud during class!” I dropped my head onto my books and sighed.

“Well, he seems pretty friendly with you...” Xiao Jie replied. “Ah! My school planner! I think I left it back at the classroom. I’ll see you later, okay?” She hurriedly left.

Sighing again, I went over to my locker and was about to open it until an arm stretched out and hit the side of my locker. I turned around quickly to see that jerk Aaron leaning over me. He seemed to be glaring at me.

“Wh-What do you want?” I said. “Your arm is in the way of my locker!”

“What was that in class?” Aaron asked me.

“What was what in class?” I asked, annoyed. He rolled his eyes.

“Do you want me to say it? That Gui Er thing.” He replied. “What are you guys, three year olds?”

I smacked his arm off my locker and opened it.

“I don’t know what you mean,” I said as I threw my books into my locker. I didn’t want to turn around or else he could see my blushing face.

SERIOUSLY WHY IS HE STANDING SO CLOSE? THIS IS WAY TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT FOR ME!!

“I usually don’t ask questions like these,” Aaron said. “And don’t think anything weird because of what I’m about to ask.”

....Okay that just made my blush disappear.

I turned around and looked at him weirdly.

“What is it?”

“....By any chance, are you and Jiro going out?” He asked. I didn’t respond for a long time.

Aaron waved a hand in front of my face.

“Hello? I asked a question.”

“............Are you stupid?” I said. “What makes you think that?”

“I didn’t think that,” He replied. “It was an assumption.”

“Well, you keep assuming that then,” I closed my locker and walked away. As soon as I was out of his sight, I couldn’t help but burst out with laughter.

“Idiot,” I giggled. “And I thought he was cool and composed.”
