“...AND THEN, HE CALLED ME A FEI ZHU AND GOT ME INTO TROUBLE!!” I complained to Xiao Jie. “HE IS NOT LIKE WANG ZI AT ALL! WANG ZI WILL NEVER HAVE AN ATTITUDE LIKE THAT!”

Xiao Jie sighed. SHE SIGHED!? JUST A SIGH!?

SHE SHOULD BE AGREEING WITH ME!! THAT AARON YAN IS A JERK!! NOT LIKE SUPERHOTANDCOOL WANG ZI!

“That’s why you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover,” She said. I frowned.

Book?

Aaron’s not a book. He’s a jerk.

“I don’t get it,” I said. Xiao Jie gave me the are-you-serious look and explained.

“That’s a saying....” She said. “In this case, it means when you meet someone, don’t jump to conclusions and decide what kind of personality they have.”

I rolled my eyes.

Whatever.

BUT I KNOW FOR SURE THAT WANG ZI IS VERY NICE. MY INSTINCTS DON’T GO WRONG ON THAT.

“Anyway,” I said, lowering my voice. “What are we doing in the school library?”

Xiao Jie gave me another are-you-serious look.

“We have a Maths test coming up next week,” She said. “Didn’t you hear the teacher?”

No.

I was too busy fuming about that jerk.

Wait....

“T-TEST!?” I yelled. Someone in the library shushed me.

I lowered my head and whispered, “T....Test?”

Xiao Jie rolled her eyes.

“YES. TEST.” She hissed. “That’s why we’re here and I’m studying for it.”

“Oh...” I said. “What kind of Maths test?”

“Calculus,” Xiao Jie replied without looking up from her book.

W-WHAT!?

CALCULUS!?

“I suggest you go find a book on calculus and study too,” She continued. “Your attention spam is quite short so it’s probably easier if you study beforehand. There’s a really good book that teaches you called ‘MATHS’. It covers everything.” She lifted up the tome she was looking at for me to see.

Errugh.

What a thick book.

I nodded and went over to the bookshelves where the Math books were.

Let’s see.....

‘Let’s Learn Maths’. Nope.

‘Learning Maths’. Nope.

‘MATHS’. Nope.

‘Maths For Dummies’. Nope.

Wait a second....

I went back to the last book.

Ah!! It’s that book! I reached out to get it but a hand came and took it out instead.

I turned around.

“G-Gah! IT’S YOU!” I yelled. I heard a shush from somewhere and lowered my voice. “That book is mine! Mind giving it to me?”

Aaron smirked. Uggghhh. So not Wang Zi-like.

“It doesn’t seem to have your name on it,” He said, looking around on the book and then at me. “So I guess it’s not yours. I’m taking it.”

He walked off like that.

I quickly scampered around the bookshelves, trying to find another copy of the book.

You have to be kidding me...

THERE ARE NO MORE COPIES!?

I looked around for Aaron. He was at the front desk and was going out of the library.

WAIT I NEED THAT BOOK!!

I ran out of the library and bumped into Aaron.

He glared at me.

I glared at him as well and pointed at the book he was holding.

“GIVE ME THAT BOOK!” I demanded. “I WAS GOING TO TAKE IT FIRST!!” Aaron waved the book in front of me.

Huh? It looks kind of different but...

“Too late,” He said. “I already borrowed it.”

I made a grab for it but his grip was tight on the book.

Omo.....I don’t want to rip the book. Or else I’d have to pay for it....

....Should I tickle him?

No, for someone like him, he probably would’ve stayed rigid or something....

.....I guess it all comes down to this.

This is all for a good Maths score. All for a good Maths score. I need to study. I need to get motivated....

Squeezing my eyes shut, I grabbed his shirt and pulled him down, pressing my lips against his.

I guess he was caught by surprise because his grip on the book suddenly loosened and I took it from him.

After we broke off, I ran away with the book.

But still, I was able to get the book...

When I was sure that I was out of Aaron’s sight, I looked at the book.

It read ‘The New World’.

.....All I can say is that girl is really crazy. And weird.

I think she just stole my first kiss. O.O

Dammit, my heart can’t stop beating really fast.....

After calming down for a while, I realised that the book was gone from my hand. Surprised, I dug into my bag and took out the book named, ‘MATHS’ and sighed in relief.

Good. She didn’t take it.

....WAIT WHERE’S THAT GEORGRAPHY BOOK I BORROWED!?

SHE TOOK MY GEOGRAPHY BOOK!!
