Thanks to the lie Kris told about us being transfer students, Suho decided all of us should attend school with Roxy from now on. This way it would be easier to keep track of potential candidates for our mission. 

Roxy and I had just been dismissed from our psychology class and were headed towards the school's gymnasium. 

Though there's only about a month left of school, Kris, Luhan, Sehun, Tao, Chanyeol, Lay, Xiumin and Kai still managed to join the basketball team with their extraordinary skills. Today was their last game of the season. If they win this match, they'd qualify to take part in the city finals. 

As we approached the gym doors, we saw Suho conversing with Nikki. They seemed to be so immersed in their conversation that they didn't notice us until we were practically standing beside them. 

"You're here! Come on, the game's about to start." Nikki enthusiastically pulled a not so excited Roxy inside. 

Chen and D.O spotted us and waved us over to where they were seated, which was in the middle of the first row. 

Jayden quickly jogged over when he saw Nikki. "There you are babe. I was looking for you." He leaned down for a chaste kiss. 

I found myself observing Roxy during the couple's interaction. She immediately averted her gaze with a grimace. I couldn't tell if that was out of jealousy or disgust. 

"Good luck, I know you'll do great." Nikki smiled sweetly up at Jayden once they pulled away. 

"Thanks." He returned the gesture. "By the way, you wouldn't happen to have any snacks on you right now, would you?" 

Nikki shook her head then looked around at us. 

Roxy fumbled with the zipper on her backpack and pulled out a container. "You can have a cookie if you want." She uncapped the lid and offered it to Jayden. 

But as Jayden was about to reach for one, Nikki told him not to dirty his hands, thus picked one up to feed him. 

Roxy couldn't refrain from rolling her eyes at the PDA. To distract herself, she also began nibbling on one. 

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a tall well built blonde crouched down to take a bite off the other end of the cookie that was still hanging in Roxy's mouth. 

Aside from the bouncing basketballs and rubbing of shoes against the floors, I was able to differentiate various types of reactions. Some were squealing and cooing at the scene that would usually only be seen happening between the two main characters of a movie. Others were sighing dejectedly, questioning why they weren't in Roxy's position; while most were outraged, not wanting to believe that their "Prince Charming would associate himself with a nobody." 

The rest of us gaped in disbelief as Roxy gawked at him; complexion reddening, the remainder of the cookie fell out of . 

"It's time to go, Coach is calling for you." The guy draped an arm over Jayden's shoulders, acting as though nothing was out of the ordinary. "Thanks for the cookie by the way." He winked at Roxy before they began making their way back to the court. 

Normally, during a situation like this, I'd either be cackling or teasing her to no end. But for whatever reason unknown to me, my chest was beginning to feel uncomfortable. 

"Okay, what the hell just happened?" Chen inquired, successfully breaking through the accumulating awkwardness around us. 

"Vince totally has the hots for Roxy, that's what happened!" Nikki gasped ecstatically. 

Roxy's eyes bulged upon hearing the statement. She reacted swiftly by slapping a hand over Nikki's mouth. "W-would you s-shut up already?" She stuttered, trying to avoid the unwanted attention from all the commotion. 

It was Nikki's turn to roll her eyes as she shoved away Roxy's hand. "Vince Jensen is the most popular guy in this university! He's practically every girl's dream! You cannot be telling me that didn't have any affect on you!" 

"No, I-" She was clearly flustered as she failed to even form a proper sentence. 

The topic was pushed aside when Nikki scrutinizingly eyed Roxy's necklace. "Why is two corners of it glowing?" She lifted it for a better view.

The four of us exchanged nervous glances. It would seem that the so called genius designer failed to realize that the random glow of the necklace would raise suspicion to the humans. And it seemed to have slipped our minds that we'd eventually need to discuss a rational explanation if ever anyone were to ask. 

"Oh um, well you see." Suho cleared his throat to stall for time. "Uh, it's a function of the lucky charm. The corners will light up correspondently to how much affection she feels for someone." 

Nikki raised an eyebrow skeptically. "And how do you know that?" 

"He bought the same necklace for my sister as a gift." I randomly blurted. "It was written in the fine print." 

That was obviously a lie, the necklace is one of a kind because only one exists. So I silently prayed that she would just believe us and stop asking such nerve wracking inquires! 

She looked about ready to fire another question if Roxy hadn't swooped in to convince her. "Yeah, it was. You know how much you love to read." Roxy replied, tone oozing with sarcasm. 

Nikki chuckled but nodded in agreement. "Well then, that just means you did feel something for Vince." 

Not having anything to retaliate, all Roxy could do was groan in response as she stuffed her blushing cheeks into her backpack.

Eventually, the whistle sounded and the game finally began. 

Every time a quarter of the game ended, the players would be given short breaks. And just before the game resumed, we would see Vince winkin
