I sipped the cappuccino at my hand and took a deep breath. ‘I have to see her. I have to ensure something.’ I looked at the door and found Shinhye just walked in. I waved my hand to her.

 

Shinhye half running toward me. “What is wrong Seohyun. Are you ok?” She asked genuinely.

 

I smiled. “Please, take a sit.” I asked.

 

She sat in front of me and looked at me worriedly. “What is going on?” She asked again.

 

I played my cup for a while and she was just stared at me. “Last night, Yonghwa came to my house. He met my parents.” I looked into Shinhye’s eyes.

 

Shinhye did not response. Her expression remind flat.

 

“My parents asked him, when will he proposed and make our relationship official.”

 

Shinhye still did not response.

 

“He did not give an exact answer.” I lowered my head. “I think he does not really love me, Shinhye-ah.” My eyes were cloudy. A tear escaped from it.

 

“Seohyun-ah, how can you say that?” Shinhye reached my hands. She squeezed it to give comfort. “He loves you. He is your boyfriend. You have to trust him.”

 

I shook my head and held it up. I caught Shinhye’s eyes again. “No Shinhye-ah, he is hiding something. There is always this kind of weird distance when we are together.” I began to sob.

 

Confusion was written all over her face. “A weird distance? What are you talking about?”

 

I swept the tears away. “He thinks of something when we are together. It seems that he has his own world, and I am not part of it.”

 

Shinhye smiled. “Seohyun-ah, you are worrying too much. Probably he thinks about his family and the business. He holds the responsibilities remember?” Shinhye seemed relieved.

 

“Do you think so?”

 

“Yes! Enough with that conclusion, ok? You are making your own self miserable.” She chuckled.

 

I took another deep breath. ‘I believe her. Maybe she is right. It just me and my thought.’ I stared on Shinhye who was checking on her phone.

 

“Seohyun-ah, I have to go. Shiyoon-ssi says that the President require my present on this morning meeting.” Shinhye stood up.

 

“Meeting with Yonghwa?” I asked.

 

“Meeting with Yonghwa?” She asked me back, confused.

  

I nodded. “Don’t you know that KIM Group already chose ULTIMATE to do the promotion for the new products from Japan? They invited us on a meeting to discuss it this morning. Yonghwa is heading there.” I explained.

 

Shinhye smiled. “Somin did it.”

 

“Somin?”

 

Shinhye nodded. “Actually, Hyunjoong-ssi chose The Kangs to do the promotion. But, during lunch yesterday, Somin could not help to talk about ULTIMATE in front of Hyunjoong.” She giggled.

 

I still confused. Shinhye aware of my confusion. “Ah! I explain later. I better get going now. See you. And, please keep the positive thought.” She said before she walked away.

 

I stared at Shinhye. ‘Gomawo, Shinhye-ah. You are the very best friend I ever have.’

Hyunjoong walked downstairs and put his bag across his chest. He put his left hand on his suit’s pocket and glanced toward his watch on his right hand. 08:30

 

“Hyunjoong-ah.” Grandfather Kim called him while he walked across the living room.

 

He stopped and faced his grandfather. “What is wrong Harabeoji?”

 

“How is the progress of the new products?”

 

“We have a meeting this morning to discuss about it.” He answered.

 

“And, about the preparation for next week investor meeting?”

 

“All is under control.” He answered.

 

“And, when will you introduce me to your girlfriend?”

 

Hyunjoong rolled his eyes. “Harabeoji..”

 

“You should enjoy your life, Hyunjoong-ah. I demand lots of grandchildren to accompany me.”

 

“I am not interested to get a girlfriend right now.”

 

“Should I help you?”

 

“What do you mean? An arranged marriage?” Hyunjoong seemed tensed.

 

Grandfather Kim shook his head. “I will not do that. As a reward for that sacrifice that you give until now, I will let you chose your own bride.”

 

The tension withing Hyunjoong disappeared. “Kamsa hamnida.”

 

 “Well, you better get going.” Grandfather Kim reminded him.

 

Hyunjoong bowed a little and walked away.

 

 

 

JUNG SOMIN

 

“I am glad that finally that annoying man chose ULTIMATE to do the promotion.” I said to my Oppa when we were on the elevator at KIM Tower.

 

Yonghwa smirked. “Yeah.. I thought he would choose The Kangs.”

 

I smiled and remembered what had happened yesterday during lunch. ‘It is no need to tell him.’

 

“Is Shinhye here yet?” Yonghwa asked.

 

“Ani. She will come late. There is something she should do. She texted me this morning.” I stared at Yonghwa. He tried to keep his coolness.

 

DING! Floor 27th. We walked out the elevator and headed to my office.

 

“Yonghwa-ssi!” Shiyoon welcomed Yonghwa.

 

They shook hand.

 

“The president has not come yet, do you want to wait in my office?” Shiyoon offered.

 

“It is ok. I can wait here. I assumed you are headed somewhere?” Yonghwa answered.

 

Shiyoon nodded. “Actually, I have to see Mr Oh for a while.”

 

“Then, I should wait here.”

 

“Ok then. Somin-ah, please accompany Mr Jung.” Shiyoon walked away.

 

I smiled at him and watched him away. I changed my attention to Yonghwa and found he smiled widely to me.

 

“He is ok.” He said and laughed.

 

“Aish! What are you talking about?” I sat on my chair and prepared myself to work.

 

“Come on! I can see that eyes, Somin-ah.” He teased me.

 

‘Oh, I should make He stop. He would embarrass me.’ I looked into his eyes. “I think he has interest in Shinhye Eonnie.”

 

Yonghwa laughter stopped in sudden. He stared back to me in disbelief. “Really?”

 

“It is all about time, Oppa. Eonnie have to find someone nice for her.” I tried to reason. ‘I am sorry, Oppa. I have to say it. You cannot hold Eonnie back for you. You already have Seohyun Eonnie.’

 

Yonghwa kept the silence and threw his attention to the picture hang in the room. I could swear that he was not paying attention to the picture. I cursed myself and my mouth. I just remembered that he was going to have an important meeting and I just ruined his mood.

 

“Oppa..” I stood up and walked to him. “Are you ok?”

 

Yonghwa turned his body and faced me. His eyes were red. ‘He is always like this when it comes to Shinhye Eonnie.’

 

“I am ok.” Yonghwa hugged me tightly and I hugged back. I could feel his sorrow through the hug.

 

A voice of someone clearing his throat distracted us. Oppa and me hold back and look to the person. 

 

‘Hyunjoong!’

 

He stared at us and focused on our hand that touched each other body.

 

Yonghwa Oppa let go of me.

 

“You can meet me at my office in five minutes.” Hyunjoong said and walked away toward his office.

 

“Tsskk.. What an annoying man!” I cursed under my breath and headed to my chair.

 

“Don’t you like him? He is every girl’s dream.” Yonghwa laughed.

 

“Those stupid girls just don’t know the others side of that annoying man.”

 

 

 

KIM HYUNJOONG

 

I threw my car key on my table and let go of my bag. ‘What are they doing? Hugging like that in the office?’ I sat on my chair and landed my back to the chair. ‘No wonder she praised his company like that yesterday. Do they know each other? But, Yonghwa is on a relationship with Seohyun, right?’

 

I felt irritated. ‘Wait! What is wrong with me?’

 

Knock! Knock!

 

“Come in!” I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself.

 

Yonghwa and Shiyoon entered my office. They walked to the chair in front of me.

 

“Please have a seat!” I said and glanced toward Yonghwa. ‘I am obviously more attractive than him!’

 

“Thank you for believing in us-“

 

“Just start immediately!” I cut Yonghwa. “Since the product that we will promote come from Japan, it is better to start it there.”

 

Yonghwa and Shiyoon nodded.

 

“I want you to go there. Shiyoon-ssi and Shinhye-ssi will accompany you.”

 

“Shinhye?” Yonghwa asked back.
