“Miss Somin, Mr Kim is waiting for you downstairs.” One of Somin’s maids informed her when Somin packed her bag for the Seminar in Jeju Island.

“What? Hyunjoong is here?” Somin asked in disbelief.

The maid nodded and giggled. “He is so handsome, Miss Somin-ah.”

“Ah, Kyungmi, not you too.” Somin rolled her eyes in frustration.

The maid giggled again and excused herself.

“Why should he pick me anyway?” Somin put her bag on her shoulder and walked out the room.

She headed to the living room half running. Somin did not want Hyunjoong to meet her Eomma and Oppa. Once she reached the living room, she was surprised to see Hyunjoong talked with her Eomma and Oppa. The most shocking thing was Grandfather Kim was also there.

“Ah, you are here.” Eomma stood up and waved her hand to Somin.

“Mr Kim, you are also here?” Somin eyes were locked to Grandfather Kim.

Grandfather Kim laughed. “You never visit me at my house. I did tell you to come and accompany me, didn’t I?” He smiled widely.

Somin was unable to speak. She could feel her Oppa stared at her in confusion. And, she tried not to look back at Yonghwa. She gazed at Hyunjoong who looked back at her with a light smile.

“I think we should get going now.” Grandfather Kim stood up, followed by the others.

“Ah, yes.” Eomma walked toward Somin. “Somin-ah, this is your first business trip. Take care of yourself.” She kissed Somin on her cheek.

Somin nodded and kissed her back and hugged her tightly. Somin walked toward her bother and found his what-the-hell-is-this look. Somin sighed and hugged him. “I have no idea, Oppa.” She whispered at him.

“Take care.” Yonghwa kissed at her cheek.

“I will make sure that Hyunjoong will take care of her, Mrs Jung.” Grandfather Kim said.

Somin eyes opened widely.

Hyunjoong bowed a little.

Grandfather Kim, Hyunjoong and Somin walked out the house – leaved Mrs Jung and Yonghwa in bewilderment.

“A limo?” Somin mumbled when she saw a black limousine already parked in front of her house.

Hyunjoong looked at her and smiled. “It was Harabeoji’s idea.”

Somin looked back at him. “Isn't it too much?”

“Somin-ah, come on!” Grandfather Kim shouted before he entered the Limo.

“Not for him.” Hyunjoong took Somin’s hand and led her to the limo.

JUNG SOMIN

A limo and a private jet! Those grandfather and grandson were really something. Somin could not believe that she was sitting at the Kim’s private jet. She sat next to Hyunjoong while Grandfather Kim sat in front of them.

Hyunjoong was telling her about what he did yesterday for Shinhye Eonnie and Yonghwa Oppa. “I just wanted to give them their last chance to meet and settle things up. I was aware that they were avoiding each other, which brought no good. If they wanted to finish it, it was better for them to have a clean break. If not, they would commit to fight for their love.” Hyunjoong explained.

I stared at Hyunjoong and smiled. “Gomawo, Hyunjoong-ah.” I felt relief that he also helped Yonghwa and Shinhye.

“That was why I called you yesterday, but you ended my call.” Hyunjoong pinched my cheek.

“Ouch!” I touched my cheek that was pinched by him. I pouted. “Ah! Yesterday, I met Seohyun Eonnie.”

Flashback

“Tell me Somin-ah, have I become the third person between them?” Seohyun Eonnie seemed did not care that people start to look at her. Her body trembled.

I felt torn. On one side, I wanted to tell her the truth about Oppa and Shinhye Eonnie. But, my other side said that this woman in front of me was not deserved to be hurt.

“Somin-ah.” Seohyun Eonnie reached my hand and held it tightly. “Tell me..”

I lowered my face and took a deep breath. “Mianhae, Eonnie. I am not the one who should answer that.” I tried to compose myself and held my face up – stared back at her wet eyes. “The answer is there, Eonnie - Behind what is seen.”

End of flashback

I stared at Hyunjoong. “Do you think, I did the right thing?”

He smiled at me. “Just pray for them. That is all we need to do.”

I nodded and smiled back at him.

“About yesterday call, I felt that you were avoiding me. What’s wrong?” Hyunjoong stared at my eyes.

I felt unease and lowered my face. “I just do not want to be the person that is always stared or glared or pointed by people when I walk by. They are gossiping about me, you know? And, it is disturbing.”

“Well, I told you before that you are-“

“Aisshh.. That confidence of yours!” I punched at his arm playfully.

He laughed. “It is ok. They will get used to it. That is why you need to be beside me all the time.”

I chuckled. “You wish!”

He laughed again.

I did not realize that Grandfather Kim watched over us in detail.

SEOHYUN

I could not sleep at all. I cried and stared at the ceiling and recalled all the memories that I had with Yonghwa and Shinhye. I was not blind. I could see that Yonghwa’s eyes were sparkled when he saw Shinhye or just talked about her. And, Shinhye also showed a strange glow in her face even when she just heard Yonghwa’s name was mentioned.

I tried hard to ignore it. Yonghwa never let me down. He always pleased me. He was such a gentlemen to me. He also showed his affection toward me in public. But, he never looked at my eyes and said ‘saranghae’.

‘He did not propose. He just agrees to marry me.’ I remembered his call that night after he came back from Japan - A sudden decision! But, after that call, he just not the same. The frequencies of him staring blankly to the wall and his empty looks came more often. I believed that something happened between him and Shinhye at Japan.

‘But, I do not have the courage to ask him. I am afraid that I will lose him.’ I sighed.

AUTHOR

Seohyun entered Yonghwa’s office and found him worked on his laptop. She walked toward him. “Love!”

Yonghwa raised his head and smiled.

“Let’s have lunch. I am starving.” Seohyun sat on the chair in front of him.

“Ok. Let me finished this first.” Yonghwa lowered his head again.

“I am going to call Shinhye. I will ask her whether she want to join us or not.” Seohyun grabbed her phone.

“Uhhmm.. Seohyun-ah, I think it is better that you have your lunch without me.” Yonghwa said without looking at her.

“Why?”

“I am afraid I still have lots of thing to be done first. I have to finish it right away, since Shiyoon-ssi is waiting for this.”

Seohyun stared at Yonghwa. But, Yonghwa just kept his head down and locked his sight to the laptop. Seohyun stood up. “Ok then. I will not bother you.” She walked out the office.

Yonghwa raised his head, looking at Seohyun when she walked out the room and took a long breath.

Seohyun took her phone and dialed Shinhye’s number after she reached her office.

"Yeoboseyo!" Shinhye’s voice was
