Flashback

“If you do love him, why did you reject him? Why, Eonni?” Somin asked with watery face.

Shinhye shook her head. “I did not reject him, Somin-ah. I thought he did not confess. I thought it was some joke he used to make. I did not know that he took my statement seriously.”

AUTHOR

It was already 02:00 PM and Somin still stayed on her chair. She has no appetite to eat. She also had difficulties in concentrating on her work. She just took long and deep breath all day long. Her mind was fully occupied by Yonghwa and Shinhye’s problem. She did not know what to do, but she was sure enough that she should do something.

She took her phone and decided to send a text message to Shinhye. “Eonnie, I am not feeling well. Mian. Could I leave early?” She press send button.

She waited for few minutes and received a reply from Shinhye. “Ok. Get well soon.”

Somin packed her things and stood up. She walked heavily at the elevator. She did not pay attention to others’ glare at her. Since last week ‘scene’ at the lobby with Hyunjoong, people started to glare or pointing finger at her as she walked by. But today, she did not care.

She reached lobby in minutes. She kept her head down and started walk toward the main door.

“Miss Jung!” called someone.

Somin turned her face and looked at the receptionist that called her. She walked toward her. “What is wrong?”

“Mrs Jang said that Mr Kim will be here in minutes and you should wait for him.” She explained with annoyed voice.

“Mr Kim?” Somin reassured.

The receptionist just nodded and did not answer. She sat on her chair and started to busy herself.

Somin ignored her and walked to the couch nearby and sat. ‘Why should I wait for him?’She waited for almost fifteen minutes before she looked Hyunjoong walked toward her. She stood up. “Something is wrong, Mr Kim? Do you need anything from me?” She asked once Hyunjoong stood in front her.

“Are you ok? Shinhye said that you are not feeling well.” He said worriedly.

“It is nothing. I just need time to be alone and think.” She said in low voice.

Hyunjoong stared at her. “Come on! I will accompany you.” He took Somin’s hand.

‘Oh, no’ Somin tried to let go her hand from Hyunjoong. But, Hyunjoong tightened his grip. “How about the Investor’s meeting?”

Hyunjoong smiled. “Already finished. Don’t worry.”

“But, I want to be alone, Mr Kim.”

“It is Hyunjoong for you now and I said I want to accompany you.”  Hyunjoong led them away from there.

JUNG SOMIN

“Tell me, what should I do? What should I do to help them, Hyunjoong-ah?” I stared at Hyunjoong that sat in front of me inside this coffee shop.

Hyunjoong took me to his favorite coffee shop and asked me what was going on after he dragged me from KIM tower’s lobby. And, I just started to share to him about My Oppa and Shinhye Eonnie’s problem.

He looked back at me. “Do you really think and you need to do something? Yonghwa already decided, if you interfere-“

“You don’t understand!” I snapped at him and cut his statement. “I know Yonghwa Oppa - He talked and smiled and felf more happy with Shinhye Eonnie. But, with Seohyun Eonnie.. He just ok. He did not love her. He just respects her. And, that is not enough to get married. That’s not enough. They have to love each other.” I tried to reason my action.

“But, he already did purpose. That meant that he already thought about that, right?” he gave his opinion.

“You know that sometime a relationship cannot be thought. It just needs to be felt. And, I think, this relationship is not right. I am afraid it will not bring happiness.” I felt annoyed with his statement and stood up. “Thank you for the coffee. I think I should go now.”  

He held my hand. “Arasso. Don’t be mad. Please sit down.” He pleaded.

I shook his hand – tried to release my hand from him. “I should not tell you about this anyway. Let go of me!”

BUZZ!

My phone was ringing. I grabbed my bag on the table with my free hand and took my phone. I stared at it for a while – Seohyun Eonnie.

“Eonnie..”

“Somin-ah, am I disturbing you?” She asked on the other side.

“Ani. Is that something wrong?” I asked back.

“Oh.. Let’s have dinner together, Somin-ah. I want to talk about the wedding. And, I need your opinion.” She explained the reason she called.

I felt nervous. I glanced at Hyunjoong and found that he already looked at me. “Where?”

“Our favorite Japanese food’s restaurant.” Seohyun Eonnie loved to eat Japanese food like I did. We used to go together just to eat that in our spare time.

“Just the two of us?” I asked again.

“Shinhye will be there.”

“Oh..” I nodded. “Ok. I will be there.”

“Gomawo, Somin-ah.” And, the phone was ended.

 I put my phone slowly at the table and also put myself slowly at the chair. Hyunjoong’s free hand reached my other hand and held them tight. I raised my face to him.

“Who is it?” He asked.

“Seohyun Eonnie.” I answered. “She asked me to have dinner with her and talked about the wedding. Shinhye Eonnie will be there too.” I took a long breath.

Hyunjoong smiled. “Can I come?”

My eyes opened wide. “What for?”

Hyunjoong smiled. “I just want to come. I want to know them better – the important people for you.”

I stared at him in confusion. ‘He just wants to know everything.’ I exhaled.

SEOHYUN

‘Kim Hyunjoong and Somin?’ I stared in disbelief to the people who sat in front of me and Yonghwa. I glanced at Yonghwa and saw that he could not believe his eyes too.

Yonghwa and I started to doubt our eyes since we saw them walked together into the restaurant with their hand intertwined. Hyunjoong helped Somin sat on her chair before he sat beside Somin. They smiled at each other. I also acknowledged that Hyunjoong held Somin’s right hand under the table.
