Taeyong bit his fingernails, his eyes shaking as he kept gazing out of the black Alphard’s window, waiting for a certain someone to walk out of the entertainment company building.

Yes, Taeyong had been sitting inside the van for a quite long time, finally accepting Yuta’s request to become a temporary manager for Jaehyun. Taeyong thinks it’s his chance. He could spend more time with Jaehyun like this. But it didn’t lessen his nervousness. What if Jaehyun hate the idea of him being Jaehyun’s manager?! What if Jaehyun breaks their agreement to become “boyfriend for 6 months”?

Taeyong’s phone vibrated. There’s a line message from Yuta.

Yuta : I’ve told Jaehyun the van has ready outside. I keep my promise to shut my mouth and not give him any heads up. Are you sure you could handle this alone, Taeyong? I could come there anytime if you need me to help you explain to Jaehyun. Jaehyun still thinks its Doyoung, his other manager, who pick him up now.

Taeyong : Don’t worry, Yuta. I’m alright.

Yuta : Alright, then. Good luck!

Taeyong took a deep sigh. “I can do this! This is not the first time I’m lying! No! It’s actually not a lie! Yuta is really… getting busier lately and needs a new manager for Jaehyun. I only have to hide my real intention. That’s the only lie.”

Taeyong closed his eyes. He was trying to calm his mind from the negative thoughts.

Taeyong didn’t realize when Jaehyun opened the car’s door and slipped inside, seated on the backseat, until he heard Jaehyun’s voice.

“Doyoung hyung, you’ve must been waiting long. Damn! The director has a lot of to say for… TAEYONG?”

Both of them startled. Jaehyun widened his eyes, surprised to see Taeyong inside the car. “W-what are you doing here?”

Taeyong turned his head, gave Jaehyun a small nervous smile. “Yuta… hires me. He said I could become the temporary manager for you as he’s getting busier with the management training.”

Jaehyun nodded. “He had told me that. But… I never guessed he would hire you.” Jaehyun chuckled lightly.

Taeyong frowned. “Wait! You’re not… mad?”

Jaehyun didn’t answer right away. He opened the van’s door, jumping outside.

“Jae! Where’re you going?” Taeyong panicked.

But Jaehyun didn’t go anywhere instead of move to the passenger seat. “I feel like sitting here beside you, so I could see you closer.”

Tayeong couldn’t hide his blushing face. He cleared his throat, then started the engine. “Let’s go! Yuta have told me your schedule for today. Your next schedule is the radio show at SBS building.”

Jaehyun chuckled. His eyes were glistening in a joyful way, mirroring his soft laugh. He thought its funny how Taeyong acts as his “manager”. Jaehyun might have not known Taeyong that much, but he sure knows Yuta inside out. So, Jaehyun could take a guess as to why Yuta hires Taeyong as his manager.

He’s not complaining though. He likes it! Maybe more than he should be.

“We still have an hour before the radio broadcast. Have you eaten lunch?” Jaehyun leaned closer to Taeyong, so he could take a better look on the brunette boy.

Taeyong shook his head as slightly pouted, making Jaehyun squealed inside because of his cuteness.

“Let’s have lunch first, then! I haven’t eaten as well.” Jaehyun smiled.

Taeyong grinned, had no idea that Jaehyun actually already had his meals. “Alright. Wear your seatbelt, Jaehyunnie.”

Jaehyun shook his head. “Put it on me, hyuuung~” He said in a nasal voice.

Yeah, sometimes Jaehyun could act cutely too, although not as often as Taeyong.

“Spoiled brat!” Taeyong was muttering under his breath, but did it anyway – putting the seatbelt on Jaehyun, ignoring Jaehyun’s teasing gaze on him.

Jaehyun Taeyong’s hair tenderly. “You know what, Taeyongie? It’s my first time seating in the front with my manager. I never did it with my other managers, including Yuta before – even though he’s my best friend.”

“Why are you doing it now then?” Taeyong asked softly. He didn’t dare to gaze directly into Jaehyun’s eyes, so he only looked at his own laps.

Jaehyun shrugged. “I don’t know.” He answered honestly. “Maybe because I want to see your face closer.”

Taeyong looked up slowly, only to be greeted with Jaehyun’s warm gaze and cheeky smile. It sent a jolt of electricity through Taeyong’s body, so he diverted his gaze again – afraid if he stared into Jaehyun’s eyes for too long then he would turn into an ugly burnt squid.

Jaehyun let out a soft chuckle as ruffled Taeyong’s hair affectionately. “Don’t be nervous. I’ll act professionally during work hours.”

Taeyong nodded. Honestly, he felt a bit upset. He really did wishing for a special treatment.

‘Stop wishing too much, Taeyong!’ Taeyong scolded himself silently inside his head.

If what Jaehyun means with ‘act professionally during work hours’ was like this, then Taeyong felt more upset than before.

‘Is this how Jaehyun treats other managers and staffs? He is too… caring. Flirty even.’

Taeyong had been sulking all day long that day. He couldn’t help but analyzing his boyfriend’s behavior around him during work hours for these past 7 days since the first time he became Jaehyun’s manager.

Sure, Jaehyun didn’t treat Tayeong in an intimate way like whenever they’re only alone. But still, Jaehyun’s attention was too much, considering it’s his “professional way” in treating his manager!

Whenever Jaehyun received food support from fans, he would give the food for Taeyong first. Whenever Jaehyun had a break from the photo shoot, he would search Taeyong first and spending his break time alone with Taeyong in the rooftop, garden, or anywhere around the photo shoot location. Whenever Jaehyun had a few spare times in between his packed schedule, he would take Taeyong to a café to buy coffee, bubble tea, and cake. Whenever Jaehyun felt really exhausted during the photo shoot or fashion show, he would search for Taeyong and then rested his head on Taeyong’s lap, taking a nap.

Seriously, if these what were Jaehyun had been done all the time to his other managers, then Taeyong was really mad!

This was Jaehyun’s last schedule for today. Doing a photo shoot for vogue magazine. The photo shoot was located inside the vogue studio this time, not like the last time where it’s taken in Han river park. Taeyong felt a bit relieved, since he shouldn’t have to protect Jaehyun from the fans who insist to see Jaehyun closer and ask for his signature or even worse – free hug.

Being a nice and friendly public figure, Jaehyun often fulfilling his fan’s requests. But it’s too much when he had a really packed schedule, had to move to his next schedule punctually but his fans kept him on the place, blocking him, demanding him for fulfilling their thirst over the model’s presence.

Being a manager is not easy. Moreover being a manager for a popular model like Jaehyun. And moreover if the manager had a certain feeling for the model!

“Jaehyun, I know you love honey. Here, the best honey for you, as my gratitude because you’re willing to be on the cover again for next month.” It’s not unusual seeing the editor in chief of Vogue magazine attending Jaehyun’s photo shoot. Rumor said that the editor in chief had a hots for Jaehyun. Yeah, it’s understandable. Who wouldn’t?!

 “Thanks, noona.” Jaehyun flashed his famous gorgeous smile.

Taeyong couldn’t help but feeling a scary flame eating up his heart inside. He really wanted to shove the honey jars back to the editor in chief who was clearly flirting with Jaehyun by batting her eyelashes as opening sensually.

Taeyong scoffed. He was still standing far away from Jaehyun, hiding behind the photographer’s back who’s busy looking at his camera.

“You did well, Jaehyun ssi. Let’s wrap up after one last shoot.” The photographer said, making the editor in chief walking away after squeezing Jaehyun’s shoulder in a daring manner, and then Jaehyun ran to Taeyong after that.

“Please keep these honey jars for me.” Jaehyun gave the jars to Taeyong.

I want to throw these jars out of the window! Taeyong pressed his thin lips tight, didn’t say anything out loud, only thinking it inside his head.

“You could eat the honey if you want. It’s good for your health.” Jaehyun winked and flashed Taeyong a tender smile before running again to do the last shoot.

‘No, thanks! I don’t want it! Yeah, it’s good for my health, but it’s not good for my heart.’

Yuta said Taeyong didn’t have to come everyday, as Taeyong still had school, besides Yuta was not too busy anymore so he could handle Jaehyun by himself and other managers (Doyoung and Taeil). But Taeyong insisted to. He wanted to see Jaehyun.

So, whenever classes had over, he always hurriedly come to Jaehyun – no matter how far the location or how late the time was. Yeah, Taeyong couldn’t drive Jaehyun everyday, but it’s okay as long as he could spend more time with Jaehyun.

“Taeyong, you look pale…” Doyoung frowned as looked at Taeyong worriedly.

Taeyong shook his head as flashed a smile briefly. “I’m just a bit tired. Today is the last exam before summer holiday.”

Doyoung nodded, didn’t try to pry any deeper.

But Taeil kept taking a glance to Taeyong from time to time. Taeyong only gave him a reassuring smile.

Doyoung and Taeil had been Jaehyun’s managers since Jaehyun got into the company. Both of them didn’t have any idea with Yuta’s real identity. They only knew Yuta was a freelancer manager just like Taeyong, who didn’t need to come everyday or to stay near Jaehyun’s apartment.

Taeyong closed his eyes, deciding to take a brief nap. His back was leaning against the cold wall. It didn’t help since his body strangely feeling cold even though the weather was freaking hot!

Jaehyun was doing a photo shoot for a commercial advertisement this time. Taeyong didn’t realize it when Taeil was not the only one who took a glance at him from time to time. Jaehyun had been doing it as well.

Truthfully, Taeyong had been feeling not well since wake up this morning. His head was hurt and heavy. At first he thought it’s only because he didn’t have enough sleep last night, but turns out to be more serious than that.

Now he was shivering, feeling his muscles throbbing in pain. The headache was not helping as well. It only made Taeyong suffering even more.

“Maybe I really need to sleep more.” Taeyong mumbled stubbornly, ignoring his pain, as his eyes still shut.

He jolted when a big warm hand touched his forehead, and when he opened his eyes, Jaehyun’s warm orbs were staring back at him worriedly. “Taeyong, let’s go to the hospital. You’re…”
