"That was really smooth today." Mina said laughing when she met me at
the library after school.

"Yeah, shut up. I forgot to set my alarm last night. I was a little
distracted."

"I have slight satisfaction with that."

"You're a dork."

"Look who's talking. I'm not that one that had the word 'pride' on my
head all day."

"I fell asleep on my book."

"Good job genius."

"Let's just get to work!"

"Alright! Jeez!"

 

We went to sit down at the table we always do, but there were two people
there.

"Um..Mina...someone's at our table."

"No matter. We'll just work at another one."

"I don't want to! I like that one!"

"Are you seriously going to throw a temper tantrum over this?!"

"Maybe!"

"Momo, don't be a child."

"Fine." I pouted and crossed my arms.

She sighed and rubbed her eyes. "Alright, I'll ask politely if they'll
move, but if they won't we sit somewhere else."

I perked up. "Okay."

 

She walked over to the two people at the table. I could hear anything,
but I saw them smile and nod. They picked their stuff up and moved to
another table. I went over and sat down with Mina. "What did you tell
them?"

"That I have a slightly neurotic girlfriend who has an obsessive
compulsive disorder and she really wants this table." She smirked and I
glared. "The guy did ask me why I was with her then. I just laughed."

"You're a jerk."

"Hey, you got the table you wanted didn't you?"

"I suppose."

She chuckled. "Let's just get to work."

Once we finished she came over to my dorm for a little while. Through
tutoring I noticed that her bag was unusually puffy. I meant to ask her
about it, but I kept getting distracted.

I sat on my bed. She walked over and sat next to me. Then she leaned down
and reached under my bed bringing out my now tainted teddy bear.

I grimaced. "I can't sleep with him anymore. It freaks me out too much."

"I see. Maybe this weekend we can burn him."

"That'd be fun." I smiled.

"But I have something for you."

"Really? Like a present?"

"Yep."

She reached over to her bag and opened it. Then to my utter astonishment
she pulled out a little fluffy lion. My eyes got wide and she handed it to me.

I snatched it from her hands. "It's so cute!"

"Oh and this one is for Tuesdays." She then pulled out a little fluffy
penguin!

I squealed and took that one too.

"So do you like them?" She asked chuckling.

I looked at her and dropped them, throwing my arms around her neck.
"It's a perfect present!"

She laughed and wrapped her arms around my waist. "I'm glad. Now you can
sleep with those instead of that silly bear."

I laughed and kissed her. "That was really sweet of you." I said once I
broke the kiss.

"I have my moments." She slowly leaned down and pressed her lips to mine
again.

I smiled and pressed my lips harder against hers.

She bit my bottom lip requesting access and I gave it to her. This girl
confuses me. I mean when I first met her she was so serious and angry. She
didn't like me at all and only thought of me as some silly, stupid girl.
Now she's in my room making out with me. To tell you the truth I wasn't
too keen on her either. She didn't exactly roll out the welcoming
blanket, and when I finally did begin to like her I wondered what the
attraction could possibly have come from, because yeah she's hot, but
Jeongyeon was into me and Jeongyeon actually was more attractive at that time
(now she's not at all). When someone has a disgusting personality that
makes me think of them as a disgusting person inside and out. That's
probably why I didn't like Mina so much. She was mean to me, but now
she's not, so why do I like her? She's something different. She's special,
she's fun, she listens, she knows me, she's not afraid to tell me what's
what, and she's an all around sweet person when she wants to be. Also, now I
don't really like the word like. It seems so overused and not exactly
how to describe what I feel about Mina. Now, I'm also not one to go
and throw the word love around. I mean she did kind of say it earlier
today, but I don't know if it was because she was messing around and that
word makes me nervous. I have a hard time saying it, so I really hope she
doesn't say it because truthfully, I would have no idea how to react.
I'd probably say something stupid and make her hate me. There's a reason
I don't like throwing that word around too, but I won't go into that now.

She pulled away slightly and her breathing was ragged. Mine was no
different. "I feel like I want to say something right now, but I'm
positive you'll flip out." She said between breaths.

"Then don't say it." I said kissing her neck lightly.

"But I want to."

"Well, if you think I'm going to freak out, maybe it should wait for a
better time."

"I don't exactly know what a better time is."

I kissed down her neck a little more, "Maybe when this isn't going on."

"Perhaps, but I mean-"

I crashed my lips onto hers to shut her up. She was annoying me by saying
all this. I know what she wants to say and I don't really know a reply yet.

She sighed into the kissed and ran her hands through my hair and brought
me closer to her.

Thank God that distracted her.

She finally left that night and now it's the weekend. I've been
distracting her all week; trying to avoid that stupid word. It keeps
getting more and more obvious and I think she's starting to catch on, and
now she's getting annoyed. We haven't been very friendly to each other as
of late.

I was supposed to meet her to go out to lunch, so I'm sitting here
freezing my off on a bench in front of the school.

I'm very irritable right now for some reason.

 

"Hirai Momo!" I heard someone yell. I turned around and there
was a very pissed Mina walking up to me.

"What's the matter?"

"You know what! You know perfectly well why I'm pissed!"

I glared. "And what if I don't?"

"If you don't then you're stupider than I originally thought!" She snapped.

"Don't be a jerk. Just tell me what's up your ."

"I've been trying to say something all week and you've been avoiding it
on purpose. What the hell is your problem?!"

I grinded my teeth and didn't make eye contact. "I...just...I don't know."

"Damn it Momo, I freaking love you and you can't just stop being a
for one second to hear it."

"I'm sorry." I didn't look at her still.

"About?"

"Being stupid. I'm just...."

"Momo, look at me." She said exasperated. I looked at her from the
corner of my eyes. I couldn't stare straight on. "I said to look at me."
She said sterner. I moved my head a little more in her direction. "What
is your problem with me saying that?"

I sighed. "I don't know...I just don't like hearing that word thrown
around."

"Momo, I'm not throwing it around. I'm saying how I feel about you."

"Well, I'm not good with emotions!"

She rubbed her eyes. "You know, I remember this saying a girl told me a
couple weeks ago, oh what was it? Yes, I remember, 'Emotions are a good
thing. Let them show.'" She said mimicking me. I looked down again. "So
what is it? What's the big deal?"

I went and sat down on the bench. "Girls are just dumb sometimes."

"Do tell." She said sitting next to me.

"Well, I guess like you, I had my own troubles with the word love and
someone betraying that. Only this time it was because he wanted
something from me."

"What did he want?"

I looked at Mina sadly. "Me."

Her eyes got wide. "He said he loved you to get you in bed?"

"That's the gist of it."

"Well what happened?"

"I thought I loved him too, but then I just couldn't go through with it.
It was very embarrassing. I ran out of his room in only underwear
holding onto my clothes." I sighed.

Mina grimaced. "I haven't even seen that much of you."

"Did you know I have my belly button pierced?"

"See! I didn't even know that! Crimany, I'm the one that actually loves
you too."

I chuckled. "So you see why I'm a little hesitant? Also that's probably
a reason I'm a little shifty about boys."

"But I thought you said that I'm the longest relationship?"

"Well, I had known this boy for a while. Our families were friends and I
had a crush on him for most of my life, then we dated for a very short
while. He moved just a little too fast for me."

"I'm sorry Momo."

"Oh well. It's the past and I'm just glad I had enough sense to not go
through with it. What's awful though is that he told me that if I love
him then I should prove it."

"I'll hit him if you'd like."

I chuckled. "No thanks. He's in juvie for now. I'm not entirely sure
when he gets out, but it's actually supposed to be soon."

"Well...I'd still like to hit him."

"I know you would."

"Okay, but I'm still kind of left hanging out here."

"Hmm..." I thought for a second. What if I waited to say 'I love you'
like she waited to ask me to be her girlfriend. I smirked. "Okay, well I
think you deserve to be left hanging for a little while."

"What?! Why?"

"Payback." I shrugged.

"For what?"

"Think about it darling. What did you wait to do so long I thought about
saying no?"

She had her thinking face on for a second, then it clicked. "Oh! I get
it....wait a second! That's not cool!"

I laughed and skipped away.
