Chapter 21
Just stayJaebum didn’t make it on time. He could tell by the way Youngjae’s piano curtains had been replaced by plain yellowing ones that had obviously been used too often.
Disappointment and fear spread through Jaebums body. Disappointment in himself for not making it in time, disappointment in Youngjae for leaving, for giving up. But most of all the fear of never seeing Youngjae again made Jaebum want to break down and cry in his spot. That was until a car pulled up beside him and rolled down the passenger side window, revealing two familiar faces.
“Jinyoung? Jackson? Why are you two together?” Jaebum asked walking closer to the opened window. Jaebum stopped in his tracks as he walked closer and it finally registered in his mind what was really going on. “Have you guys been working together this whole time?” Jaebum asked, betrayal flowing thickly through his body.
“Jaebum, please just come back to me…” Jinyoung begged, his eyes filled with tears that threatened to fall.
“It’s not a choice anymore Jaebum…” Jackson’s eyes held anger as he leaned closer to the opened window and stared into Jaebum before finishing with “Leave Youngjae and go with Jinyoung, forget Youngjae ever existed… or we’ll have to make Youngjae not exist anymore.”
Jaebum was shocked and he took a couple steps back from the sleek car the threat making its way through his body like a piece of food he accidentally inhaled. Would they really hurt Youngjae? Could they?
Jackson raised something from his lap and answered Jaebum’s thought. Jackson held tightly onto a thick gun and showed it to Jaebum as if it were some type of prize he won.
