The position for the new bookstore down the street was taken. The one job Youngjae was looking for gone, and Youngjae couldn’t help but feel as if he had lost a child, or a best friend. Youngjae checked the other jobs he had bookmarked before but none were like the bigger bookstore, all paid minimum wage for crappy hours.

    Youngjae continued to look at job postings near him but to no avail. How was he supposed to make money if no one was hiring? Youngjae bowed his head in defeat. If he couldn’t find another job, he needed to find another apartment.

    Youngjae knew a place where he could find money but after the events of the week Youngjae didn’t want to borrow money, especially not from him. Although Youngjae was stubborn he also knew that he didn’t have much of a choice, unless he wanted to become real buddy-buddy with the McDonalds trash can.

Youngjae’s head was hurting again and he wanted to scream but that wouldn’t help anything. Screaming would only make people concerned about Youngjae which was the opposite of what Youngjae wanted.

Once he thought about it, Youngjae didn’t know what he wanted. The only thing Youngjae knew he wanted, over anything else in the whole world, was to be with Jaebum.

Jaebum was like a light at the end of a dark tunnel, like ice water on a hot day. Jaebum was everything good and Youngjae was so happy that Jaebum was his. But would Jaebum stay if he knew that Youngjae couldn’t care for himself and was basically homeless?

Just the thought hurt Youngjae so much, could he ever live without Jaebum? He had done it for 20 years before he met Jaebum but now that he knew that Jaebum was out there could he bear the thought of Jaebum being with someone else?

Youngjae stood. He knew what he had to do, even if he hated it, he needed help. Now.

Jaebum was so excited to be cooking for Youngjae. He had seen how caring for Jaebum was exhausting Youngjae, even if he denied it, Jaebum could see how Youngjae was becoming more and more drained of energy. Youngjae worked from seven in the morning to seven at night, and that was if Youngjae was lucky, usually Youngjae’s work day was 18 hours, and Youngjae would come home to feed Jaebum and usually wouldn’t get to sleep till late… If he got any sleep at all… ;)

Jaebum was now really glad that he had secretly taken those classes, even if it took time away from him and Youngjae, cooking was hard. The book Jaebum had picked up for supposedly for beginners but Jaebum didn’t understand half of the terms in the damn thing.
