"You know, if you don't intend on signing those photo cards, I can do it for you."

Hearing her manager's voice come from behind, Song Hye Kyo was instantly pulled back to reality. She had thousands of photo cards that needed to be signed, and here she was, still holding the marker with the cap on for roughly 30 minutes already. Before her manager had left to buy their afternoon snack, Hye Kyo had already been holding the marker, which was why she was a bit surprised to see the actress in the exact, same position, staring blankly at a window. It was then that Hye Kyo's manager realized that something was a bit off. 

"Are you alright?" Manager Lee Ja Hae asked as she placed the paper bag containing their favorite japchae noodles on the table. "I've caught you staring blankly at windows, chairs and tables lately. Are you tired or something?"

"Ani," Song Hye Kyo sighed as she started signing the photo cards. "I guess I'm just.. what's the right word.. hungry?"

"Ya, Hye Kyo sshi." Manager Lee said. "I've been your manager for five years already. I've seen you drunk call your family and cry over your ex-boyfriend like there's no tomorrow. Do you really think that I'd believe that your blank stares mean that you're hungry? If you're trying to lie, I know you can do better than that."

Hye Kyo sighed yet again. 

"Okay so, maybe I'm not hungry." She admitted. "I've just been.. thinking a lot lately."

"Thinking about something or someone?"

The way Manager Lee emphasized the word "someone" just made Hye Kyo lose it. Her manager was a really good friend of hers, so she saw no point in hiding whatever it was that was going on in her life right now. Hye Kyo needed someone to talk to, after all.

"Okay, fine. I'll tell you what's going on." Hye Kyo finally gave in. "I've been thinking about Joong Ki for the past few days. Yes, Song Joong Ki.. Descendants of the Sun Song Joong Ki."

Manager Lee had a goofy smile on her face. 

"Chincha? So, what's going on? Are you two dating already?"

"Manager-nim!"

"Mwo?" Manager Lee said. "There's no denying that you two look great together. Are you not aware that almost everyone in Korea is rooting for the both of you?"

Hye Kyo suddenly had a flashback of the many times random people had asked her if she and Joong Ki were dating. The most recent one happened yesterday when she visited the convenience store near her condo unit to buy a jar of green tea spread. The male cashier who was in his early 50's not only complimented Hye Kyo's looks that day, but told her that she and Joong Ki should get married and, to use his exact words, "have as much good looking children as possible". Hye Kyo wasn't really creeped out over what the man had said, but that night, she dreamt of having kids with Joong Ki and she woke up with beads of sweat running down her forehead.

"Hye Kyo sshi?" Manager Lee snapped her fingers in front of Hye Kyo. "So, what happened? Why has Joong Ki been running through your mind?"

"Well.." Hye Kyo started, feeling a bit hesitant. "A week ago, he.. he, sort of, well not sort of.. he.. I think he really did.."

"Say it!"

"He confessed, okay. He confessed!"

"OMO!"

"I just.. I don't know how to deal with it." Hye Kyo said, frustration evident in her voice. "It's not like I've never gone through this kind of stage, but.."

Manager Lee showed Hye Kyo a knowing smile. 

"You know what, Hye Kyo sshi, it's not that you don't know how to deal with it. You're just in denial."

"In denial?"

Manager Lee nodded. 

"You're in denial because it's been a while si
