After Hyun Bin had finally revealed to her the reason why he left five years ago, Hye Kyo found herself lying emotionless on her bed that night. She didn't know what to feel. She didn't know if she was supposed to feel relieved that he wasn't seeing someone else or angry that he had "chickened out" just because he felt as if he wasn't "ready" for the relationship. 

For the nth time, Hye Kyo shifted into another position and tried to clear her mind. Hyun Bin wasn't supposed to occupy a large portion of her mind right now. He was an "ex" anyway, and exes deserved to be buried in the past. 

In an attempt to get some sleep, Hye Kyo decided to reach for her phone on the side table. She thought about reading fan comments until she would finally give in to some shut eye, but the moment she pressed the home button of the phone, she didn't feel sleepy at all.

[7:20 pm] Hye Kyo sshi, I just got back from my Shenzhen fan meeting :) I hope you prayed that I would arrive safely here!

[8:15 pm] I heard that you've been really busy today. Don't forget to rest, araso?

[9:00 pm] Ya, why aren't you replying to my text messages?

[9:05 pm] Hmmm maybe you're busy

[9:20 pm] That's it. I'm visiting you!

[10:10 pm] I visited your condo earlier. I just left the food that I brought with the security guard. You seemed a bit busy with someone else. Have a good night

Hye Kyo hated herself for not checking her phone more often today. She knew Joong Ki would text, but she had been so busy that her phone remained inside her bag the entire time. What alarmed her, though, was his last message. Hye Kyo could recall that she arrived at the building at around 9:55 and his message came it 10:10 which meant that there was a huge possibility that he had seen her and Hyun Bin together. 

Suddenly, Hye Kyo's heartbeat began to race. She was more worried about what Joong Ki thought of her, rather than getting the sleep she knew she needed. Hye Kyo sat up immediately and pressed his number that was on speed dial. After a few failed attempts, she knew that something was up. He wasn't responding to the messages that she had sent nor was he answering her calls. It seemed unlikely of Joong Ki not to be responsive as he usually is, considering that even if Hye Kyo would call during the wee hours of the morning, he would always pick up.

So at 1:30 in the morning, Hye Kyo decided to drive to his house at Gangnam, hoping that he was there. She had a lot of explaining to do.
