Joong Ki felt beads of sweat trickle down his nape as Hye Kyo asked him about So Han Joo. He wasn't so sure how she'd react to him telling her that Han Joo was his ex-girlfriend, so he decided to change the topic of their conversation. 

"Let's just talk about this later." Joong Ki said, putting his phone back in his pocket. 

Hye Kyo's forehead creased in confusion. She felt as if her boyfriend was hiding something from her. 

"Is there something wrong?" She asked, trying to hide the fact that she was feeling a bit suspicious. 

Joong Ki shook his head in reply. 

"Nothing. There's nothing wrong." He said, his tone assuring. "Let's just enjoy the night, okay?"

Hye Kyo wasn't the type who would let go of these things so easily, but she decided to do so. Tonight was the very first time that she was attending an event with her boyfriend, and she wasn't planning on ruining the good mood just because she felt suspicious over a random call. The matter was too petty for her to really fuss over. 

"Alright." Hye Kyo nodded, intertwining her fingers with Joong Ki's. "Let's enjoy the night." She added. 

Joong Ki let out a sigh of relief. He was indeed lucky to have a girlfriend as patient and as understanding as Hye Kyo. 

"Kamsahamnida." He smiled. "Don't worry, I'll tell you all about her over dinner."

Joong Ki and Hye Kyo were delighted over bagging awards at the Baeksang, but the most fruitful one was the Daesang for "Descendants of the Sun". Indeed, the months of memorizing lines, training for action-packed scenes and bearing the cold weather while shooting, was all worth it. And of course, the fact that Joong Ki and Hye Kyo had found love while they were shooting was the cherry on top. 

"Chukahamnida, Joong Ki hyung, Hye Kyo noona and the entire cast and crew of Descendants of the Sun! You all did a great job! Geonbae!" Ah In said, as everyone at the pub they were in, raised their glasses in celebration. 

"Kamsahamnida, Ah In sshi." Hye Kyo smiled, patting her junior's back before taking a nice, cold shot of Soju.
