Hamster

Blue Blossom

"Taekwoonie, wake up~!" Wonshik sang out excitedly, gently shaking his boyfriend's shoulder in an attempt to rouse him from his sleep.

Taekwoon whined as he groggily rubbed his sleepy eyes awake, looking up only to find Wonshik standing next to the bed with the most excited smile on his face. As the two made eye contact, Wonshik's grin grew brighter.

"I'll go make us breakfast then~" Wonshik smiled, leaning down to plant a sweet kiss on his boyfriend's chubby cheek before leaving for the kitchen. "I'll make you some coffee~!" he called out.

As Taekwoon sat up, he couldn't help but smile at Wonshik's exciteable behaviour. They were going shopping for Christmas decorations and presents later in the day, and Wonshik was over the moon about it. They had a busy day ahead of them, as Taekwoon also had an appointment with his psychiatrist, and they had plans to go out for lunch.

Taekwoon had always gone to his appointments alone, not wanting to burden others with his problems, but Wonshik had asked to come along. He wanted to support his boyfriend the best he could, and Wonshik was the only person Taekwoon trusted enough to bring along. Although he trusted Hakyeon, too, he wasn't as good around his illness as Wonshik was. Wonshik had always been able to calm him down, and deal with his highs and his lows. Hakyeon had always struggled to deal with Taekwoon's lows.

Sighing happily, Taekwoon forced himself out of bed and made his way sleepily into the kitchen to help Wonshik out with breakfast. Although Wonshik's useless cooking skills were slowly improving, he was still prone to burn things.

"What are we making? he asked, leaning against the kitchen counter as he watched Wonshik. I'm so proud of him, Taekwoon thought to himself as he smiled, impressed by how skillfully Wonshik was making their breakfast. He was making egg toast.

"I'll be okay, angel," Wonshik smiled over his shoulder, turning his focus back to the food. "I think I've got this one down."

"O-okay," Taekwoon blushed, swooning over the sweet pet name. "I'll make the coffee, then?" he smiled, heating up the kettle.

-------------------------------------------------------

As the boys sat in the waiting room, Taekwoon began fiddling nervously with the sleeve of his coat. Noticing his boyfriend becoming anxious, Wonshik grabbed one of his hands, holding it and giving it a squeeze. Looking up at Wonshik's bright smile, Taekwoon couldn't help but smile back. With Wonshik next to him, he felt like he could face anything.

"Jung Taekwoon?"

Taekwoon's psychiatrist was a young man, not much older than Taekwoon. He was tall, slender, with thick glasses and a warm smile. He had noticed Taekwoon holding hands with Wonshik, and grinned to himself.

"Are you the famous Wonshik?" he asked, as Taekwoon stood up to join him, his chubby cheeks turning pink.

"Uhm... I-I'm Wonshik, yeah," Wonshik replied awkwardly, looking up at Taekwoon for guidance.

"Just ignore him~" Taekwoon giggled, blowing Wonshik a kiss as he walked over to his psychriatrist for his appointment. As Taekwoon's psychiatrist closed the door, he winked at Wonshik, making him even more confused than before.

"So, Taekwoon, it seems like you're doing well," he smiled, gesturing towards one of the comfortable cushioned chairs as he took a seat at his desk. As he sat down at his desk, he found out a thick file with all of Taekwoon's information in, a notebook, and a pen. "It's nice to finally meet Wonshik."

"You're so embarrassing," Taekwoon laughed, grateful his relationship with his psychrist was so good. All of his previous psychiatrists hadn't been as friendly or understanding as his current one. "But... yeah. I am doing well, I think."

"That's good to hear. And how are you finding your medication?"

"It's fine. I'm still getting the same side effects, but they've become more managable," he smiled softly as he watched his psychiatrist take notes, "I think my moods have become a little more managable, too."

"That's great news, Taekwoon," he grinned, pleased. "Well, I guess there's no need to make any adjustments for the time being, then. And how are you sleeping?"

"Okay, I guess. Better than before. I'm still having some nightmares, some sleepless nights, but it's a lot better than before."

"Good. And how are the flashbacks?"

"I haven't had any in... well, over two weeks now, I think," he smiled. "I think I'm doing a lot better in general, honestly."

"It sounds like it. I think that's all, just continue with your medication as normal and I'll see you in two weeks time," he grinned, happy to see his patient doing so well. "Would you mind if I had a quick word alone with Wonshik?"

"Uhm... I-I guess not. Should I send him in?"

"If you wouldn't mind."

The moment he saw Taekwoon leaving the room, Wonshik jumped up from his seat, rushing over to him to give him a warm hug. "Are you alright, baby? Did it go okay?"

"I'm fine," Taekwoon smiled, hugging his boyfriend back. "My psychiatrist wanted to have a word with you. Do you mind talking to him?" he asked, pulling away from their hug.

"Oh, sure," Wonshik nodded, giving Taekwoon a quick kiss before knocking on the door. Taekwoon walked over to the drink fountain, getting a drink of water and sitting down as he waited for Wonshik. "Can I come in?"

"Yes."

"Uhm, Taekwoon said you wanted a word..." Wonshik trailed off as he entered the room, closing the door behind himself. He itched the back of his neck nervously, unsure of what this was about.

"Hello, Wonshik. I'm Taekwoon's psychiatrist," he held out a hand for Wonshik to shake, which he took. "Please, have a seat."

"Is this gonna be long...? I don't mean to be rude, I just don't like leaving him alone after these kinds of things-"

"No, it won't be long. I just wanted to thank you for everything you've done for Taekwoon. He's doing so well, better than I've ever seen him ever before, and a lot of that is down to you," he smiled. "He needs a strong support system, and its clear to me that you're good together. Keep up the hard work, okay?"

"O-okay," Wonshik stuttered, taken aback by the sudden compliments. He smiled, his heart warm as he considered the psychiatrists words. We're good together, huh? "T-thank you..."

"No problem. Now you get back to Taekwoon. Since I won't be seeing Taekwoon again until after the holidays: Merry Christmas to the both of you."

"Merry Christmas."

-------------------------------------------------------

Taekwoon sighed dreamily as he watched Wonshik leaning against the counter, waiting for their order. They had gone out for lunch as planned, but unsure of where to go, they'd wound up in the cafe. Although their food selection was somewhat limited, neither of them minded. It was a peaceful, snowy day and the cafe was barren - they were two of the only customers, creating a quiet and cosy atmosphere. Taekwoon was happy.

Ever since he'd met Wonshik, he'd began to feel a whole spectrum of emotions that were alien to him. He'd never had a crush before, and had never fallen in love. He'd never felt so playful, so excited, so passionate or enthusiastic before. He was feeling real happiness for the first time in his life - something he never thought would happen. Taekwoon had always thought he was doomed to feel empty for the rest of his life, but now, he felt... complete. All because of Wonshik.

As Wonshik looked over his shoulder at him, and threw him one of his handsome smirks, Taekwoon's heart raced. He smiled back, blowing his boyfriend a kiss. Wonshik pretended to grab the kiss, placing it on his lips with his usual dopey grin. "I love you," Wonshik mouthed at Taekwoon.

Once their drinks were finished - a mint flavoured hot chocolate for Wonshik, and a gingerbread latte for Taekwoon - Wonshik brought them over to their table, alongside two sandwiches. "Here you go, baby," Wonshik smiled, passing Taekwoon his food and drink.

"Thank you."

Whilst the two boys ate and enjoyed their drinks, they began to discuss their plans for Christmas. The two had planned out some ideas for their day with their friends - Taekwoon was going to cook for them all whilst Wonshik did the entertaining. There was one issue that neither of them had discussed though, apart from mentioning it briefly in passing.

"What about Jaewhan?" Wonshik asked, knowing how torn up his best friend was without his boyfriend. "I'm not sure Hongbin's gonna be up to it all without him."

"Wonshikkie, you'll keep a secret, right?"

"Of course."

"I... I didn't just buy us tickets," Taekwoon mumbled, a little bit shy. "I... well, I gave Jaewhan the money to come home for Christmas - but you can't tell Hongbin, okay? It's a secret. Jaewhan is... well, he's supposed to be his present," he bit his lip, embarrassed. Despite not working, Taekwoon had always been well off. His parents, both in high earning jobs, always helped their son out with his finance. Since he never spent money beyond paying for rent and groceries, he had plenty saved up, and was happy to spend it on his friends so long as it made them happy.

Wonshik was in awe of Taekwoon. He almost couldn't believe someone so kind could exist.

He really is an angel, Wonshik thought.

-------------------------------------------------------

After lunch, the two wound up at the mall, buying decorations for their house. Taekwoon was clueless, but Wonshik seemed very knowledgeable, with strong opinions on what kind of decorations were the best. He seemed to enjoy using a colour theme, and brought a lot of blue and white decorations. Whilst they were walking down an ailse of animal themed decorations, Wonshik made an observation about his adorable boyfriend.

"Taekwoonie, you know, I realised something~" he smirked playfully.

"Hm?"

"Your cheeks..." he grinned, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend's waist. "...They make you look like a hamster~"

"A hamster?"

"My hamster~" Wonshik laughed, pinching Taekwoon's chubby cheek and kissing him on his cute little nose. Taekwoon was a little flustered, blushing as he decided to retaliate. With a playful glimmer in his eyes, he wrapped his arms around Wonshik's shoulders, leaning in close to whisper into his ears.

"If I'm your hamster, does that mean you're my owner?" he whispered with a smirk, knowing very well that it would drive Wonshik crazy. As he pulled back and noticed Wonshik's bright red cheeks and wide eyes, he couldn't help but giggle.

Being called Taekwoon's owner turned Wonshik on, a lot. As a result, he grabbed his boyfriend's wrist and dragged him to the nearest bathroom, pulling him into a stall and locking it behind them. Pinning Taekwoon up against the door, he moved in for a kiss, biting his boyfriend's plush lips.

"A-ah~" Taekwoon moaned, wide eyed as Wonshik placed a hand over his mouth.

"Shh," Wonshik whispered. "We have to be quiet."

Taekwoon nodded, Wonshik's hand playfully and causing the younger boy to chuckle quietly. Wonshik wasted no time in undressing Taekwoon, fumbling around with his belt as he kissed down his neck, biting ocassionally. Taekwoon was finding it hard not to moan, biting down on his lip hard to try and stifle it. He was surprised as Wonshik turned him around, bending him over slightly as he pulled down his jeans and boxers.

"W-Wonshikkie~" Taekwoon whispered as Wonshik d his bare . It wasn't long until Wonshik was inside of him, ing hard with his hands on Taekwoon's hips. "A-ah~!"

"Baby," Wonshik leant over, whispering into Taekwoon's ear. "We'll get caught...~" he smirked, biting the top of Taekwoon's ear as he built up a faster pace.

Their intense show of passion was over as suddenly as it began, but it was incredible - the risk of it had made it even more fun. It confirmed something that Wonshik had always thought about himself: he was . He'd had never expected something as simple as a name would trigger something inside of him, but hearing Taekwoon call him his owner was an instant turn on. Once it was over, and both boys were cleaned up and dressed, they made sure the coast was clear before leaving the bathroom, holding hands and blushing from their risky escapade.

-------------------------------------------------------

"What did you get me for christmas, Hamster~~~?" Wonshik teased his boyfriend, eager for clues. The two had just arrived home, having finished their Christmas shopping. They had brought decorations for their home and presents for their friends, and although both boys were pretty tired, Wonshik remained exictable, eager to decorate the house immediately. Sorting through their bags of shopping, he retrieved some power blue and white tinsel. "Can I have a clue?"

"Not telling~" Taekwoon stuck his tongue out at his boyfiend playfully, flopping down on the couch as he watched his boyfriend begin decorating the small synthetic tree they had brought. It was small, but its meaning to the boys was big. Despite being exhausted, Taekwoon found his boyfriend's enthusiasm infectious, and got up to help him decorate their tree. He placed the tree topper they had brought on it - a silver star - as Wonshik decorated it with various powder blue, white, and silver ornaments.

Once the tree was decorated, Taekwoon lay down on the couch, watching Wonshik place the rest of the decorations they had purchased earlier around the house with a smile on his face. "This is nice."

"What's nice, baby?" Wonshik asked as he stuck some tinsel around the edges of the kitchen counters.

"Just... this," he sighed happily, grinning at his boyfriend. "Being with you. I hope we can be like this forever."

"Aw, baby..." Wonshik smiled, stopping his decorating for a moment to walk over to his boyfriend and kiss him on the forehead. "I hope so too."

"I love you."

"I love you too."'

-------------------------------------------------------

Leaving Wonshik to messily wrap the presents he'd brought in the living room, Taekwoon head to bed. He had told Wonshik he wanted to have an early night, but in reality, he needed some time alone to put the finishing touches to Wonshik's Christmas present.

Instead of buying something for him, he wanted to make something - something meaningful, something more personalised. He'd never been talented at art, but he'd always had a passion for music. He was a talented pianist, and had the most beautiful singing voice, but was incredibly shy about showing off either of his talents. No one had ever heard him sing before apart from his mother, and he'd only played piano in front of his parents and Hakyeon before.

Taekwoon was so nervous about performing in front of Wonshik, and wasn't sure how he was going to do it. He'd figured if he started the song with Wonshik's eyes closed, he could probably manage. As he read through the lyrics he'd written, he decided how he was going to give Wonshik his present. The two had the morning to themselves on Christmas day, as their friend's weren't set to come over until the afternoon. Plenty of time to build up some courage, he thought to himself. During the morning, he would invite Wonshik into the bedroom, and ask him to close his eyes before he began to peform for him. That should work.

Taekwoon had put a lot of thought into the lyrics, wanting to express his feelings for Wonshik in the best way he could. The song he had written was called Us Now, and served as a sort of follow up to the love letter he had written for him when he confessed to him that he was in love with him. He'd never been good with words, but hoped that the emotion he planned to put into the perfomance would get across how he felt.

He sighed, smiling as he imagined how Wonshik would react to his present. I hope he likes it, he thought to himself.
