so... yesterday, I watched the movie Hot Pursuit which made me think that Sofia Vergara would really suit the new character in this chapter. Enjoy! Before the ball....

King Alaric drank a glass of wine and had a "friendly" talk with well-known socialite the Lady Carmine in his lounge located in the his room. His wife, Queen Veronica was busy monitoring all preparations for her son's birthday ball. Mostly, the king would bring women who can satisfy him there. Unknown to the king, Lady Carmine is secretly the lover of the queen's cousin Duke Winston of Aragon and she plans to silently and slowly kill Alaric so that the duke can claim the Adron throne. She knew that the prince would be no threat and have no chance to the throne because the parliament hates him. She seduced the king to drink the glass of wine she prepared in which she mixed a colorless and odorless chemical containing poison. The silent killing drink would effect several minutes later and the king would never experience any symptoms or pain as he will just lose consciousness and his heartbeat would give up seconds after. She let him enjoy his last moments alive by letting him roam his fingers around her body. It was already half an hour before the ball when she has finished satisfying the king, Alaric thanked her for keeping him company and she bowed saying "I am deeply honored, Your Majesty". Then he led her to the secret and unnoticed passage out of the palace and ordered a servant to pick up the glasses. As Carmine went out, she smirked evilly thinking "I will soon be Adron's new queen".
