“i wonder where’s yongbae right now..” bom was wandering in the hallway searching for yongbae. Moving her head from left to right, she can’t wait to see him and ask him for lunch.

“have you heard the rumor??”

While bom was walking, she accidentally overheard a conversation coming from the two girls. Rumor?? Bom thought it was an interesting topic, so she peeked behind the wall and eavesdropped on them.

“the new girl….”

“who’s the new girl??”

Bom immediately leaned her back on the wall when she saw the blonde looked over her direction. “Omo! that was close.” She murmured. she got afraid that she would be caught, so bom decided to leave them but… something stopped her from going.

“duh! parkbom. I heard she’s dating sajangnim.”

Bom froze. she heard them spoke not so loud.. but she knew she heard her name. Taking her steps back, bom lean again on the wall and listen to their gossips. “why are they talking about me?” she thought.

“What?! but she’s the sister of sajangnim’s girlfriend right? There’s no way she could do that.”

“Yeah, you’re right about that.. Maybe they were really just “rumors”. Sajangnim love jenny so much and that girl named park bom.. should not always linger with him.. Because people might misunderstand them you know. just like now,  and it will only ruin sajangnim’s image. “

bom was quite surprised by what she heard, she never thought for once that being with jiyong might ruin his image or  Might misunderstand him.

“you two surely have lots of time on your hands.”

Bom heard a man’s voice, she peeked in, her heart suddenly raised when she saw yongbae walking towards the two girls, his arms crossed, his facial expression was stiff. “you gossiped and talked behind a person’s back? Why don’t you two just tell it to jiyong or bom directly? Tell him to avoid bom. tell her to stop lingering at him. you don’t know anything about them, so stop telling nonsense. It’s because of you people, why this rumors spread out like cancer.”

the two girls panic when they saw yongbae stood just in front of them. The usual happy smiling face was covered with a hard scary expression. They both can’t meet his eyes embarrassed by what they did. “so-sorry..” they said.  “I don’t need your apologies. If ever I found you out again, I won’t let this slide and tell this to sajangnim. you know him right? I bet you don’t want to see him fired you.” They both felt the seriousness of yongbae and apologized again. “We’re sorry. it won’t happen again. just don’t tell it to sajangnim yongbae.”they pleaded.

After a few minutes of convincing him, Yongbae finally let the two girls go with their promised that they won’t gossip again. Meanwhile, bom was still behind the wall. She was so touched by him, for protecting her. “okay it’s official. Starting today, yongbae is my ideal boyfriend in the entire world.” She murmured giggling like a little child. Bom peeked again, but he’s gone. “eh? Where did he go?”

“are you looking for me?” bom turned around when she heard a voice behind him. Her eyes widened when she saw yongbae so close to her. “omo! Ah!” she immediately took a few steps back but she lost her balance  making her to almost fall on her back. yongbae hurriedly hold her, his right arm wrapped around her waist while his left hand holding bom’s arm. “are you okay?” bom opened her eyes slowly. Oh my goodness! Is this a dream?!!? If this is a dream then don’t let me wake up anymore. Yongbae’s face is so close to mine!

she blushed when she realized how close yongbae’s face to her. he helped bom to stand her. “sorry, did i scared you bom?” while yongbae look so worried, bom on the other hand, was in a dazed her mind was not functioning and her smile started to form on her lips. “ne? oh.. “ she said. Yongbae was not convinced by her. “are you sure?” “i’m fine yongbae don’t worry.” She said in a soft voice. “so you heard them right?” he asked. bom suddenly remember what happened a while ago, and that made her a bit sad. “yeah. Thanks by the way.” Yongbae patted bom’s head softly when she noticed bom’s expression changed. “don’t worry about them bom.” bom felt her heart fluttered when bom touched her head.“it’s okay, it doesn’t matter to me. I know i’m not doing anything bad.” he didn’t expect that bom will say that. If it were jenny, she would probably cry or asked him what to do. But bom, she’s different. She’s interesting. He thought.

Yongbae was supposed to go but bom suddenly asked him if he could join her for lunch since she’s alone. Without a second thought, yongbae agreed and they walked to a nearby restaurant. While they are walking down the streets side by side, bom tried to hide her wide smile as she stealthily glance at yongbae reminding herself that, this is not a date bom! you’re just out with yongbae for lunch! but.. ottoke?! I wanted to squeal in delight! Bom was fangirling inside her mind. For her, being able to meet and have lunch with him is greater than being able to meet TVXQ or Rain. Lee hyori or Beyonce. Yongbae is more than that. “bom?” bom saw a hand waving in front of her, she was still in a daze until yongbae called out her name. “bom?” she blinked twice and then looked at yongbae who’s half smiling at her. “oh.. what?” she heard him chuckled and thought that it was cute. “what are you thinking? we’re already here.” bom smiled and nodded at him, she looked around and was surprised that they were at a fancy restaurant she thought that they’ll be going in a restaurant that sells unlimited samgyupsal, kimchi and a soju because she and ji yong love to come at that kind of place wherein ji yong will drink his soju and bom will eat her samgyupsal until she’s full. They went inside and the waitress led them to a dining table. Yongbae pulled out a chair for bom before she sits. Bom sat down and felt her face turned bright red as she watched him walked and took seat just in front of her. “you know, this is my favorite restaurant.” yongbae said. “really? hmm.. I wonder how many girls have you brought here. Looks like the waitress at your back already know you.” bom stared at the waitress who’s already walking towards their direction. Yongbae looked over his shoulder and glance at the waitress. “actually, that girl had witnessed so much part of my life. girls life.” yongbae winked at bom before he stares up at the waitress who handled them a menu book. “long time no see yongbae. how are you?” bom didn’t like at how the both of them stared at each other. she grab the menu book and looked at the list and the price really left her jaw dropped. She scanned the menu and in an instant she almost forgot how she got jealous with the waitress. Bom glanced at yongbae, when she saw he’s still talking with the waitress, she sneakily looked inside her bag and opened her wallet. Counting the money papers she has, she could feel the sweats on her forehead slowly slid down her side of her cheeks. “ottoke?! this is……. not enough!” bom felt uneasy, she promised yongbae that it was her treat and she didn’t know he likes to eat in this kind of restaurant. Actually she thought that they’ll only eat at the cafeteria so she didn’t bring a lot of money. “have you decided what you’re having?” bom stared at yongbae and then to the waitress. “no not yet. you go first.” yongbae grab the menu book and looked at it. Scanning every pages.  “hmm.. I can’t decide. What’s the dish of the day?”  “it’s the chef’s steak. You must try it.” said the waitress. Meanwhile, bom immediately flipped the page and try to find the steak. “steak … steak . . .  steak…. Holy shhhh! 50,000 won?! How could a steak cost like this?!”bom computed the money in her mind again but was disturbed by yongbae when he asked her again. “what’s yours bom?” with the money I have right now, a cheaper one will save me. let’s see… bom saw the price of spaghetti, though she really wanted to order pork cutlets but she’s already out of budget. “I want spaghetti.” She said acting as normal as possible. The waitress wrote down their order. “do you want red wine? It will go well with your steak.” “sure.” Said yongbae. the waitress walked away and yongbae stared again at bom, he noticed her counting on her fingers. he chuckled. “don’t worry it’s my treat.” Bom suddenly stared at yongbae, she blushed when he caught her so immersed counting on her fingers. “what? no.. I promised you that I’ll treat you.” yongbae shook his head. “no, it’s my treat bom. I’m happy that you invited me to have lunch with you.. I was actually thinking the same, but I got embarrassed a while ago. Anyway, you can treat me next time.” bom sighed, she can’t reject him especially with that charming eye smile he was giving her. “okay. since you’re seducing me with your smile fine. I’ll just treat you next…” bom paused for a while thinking there will be no next time after this for sure. “next time, I’ll invite you first for lunch and you must treat me okay?” bom stared at yongbae, her eyes sparkled with excitement. “sure! Next time.” yongbae chuckled, she thought bom was cute. “you can order anything bom. don’t hesitate.” at first bom was shy, but then.. “a-aniyo.. actually can I ask you a favor?” bom hesitated for a while but she wanted to say it. “sure what is it?” yongbae leaned his head a little closer to her. “remember, a while ago I ordered spaghetti? Can you ask the waitress to change it with pork cutlets?” bom grinned and felt contented while yongbae was a bit surprised by her, he found her hilarious because he thought it was a big favor “pork cutlets?”

After they ate their food, bom and yongbae chatted for a while before they went outside and walked back to the company. “thank you yongbae.” bom said as she stared at yongbae walking beside her. “no, thank you bom. I really had a great time.” he said. bom didn’t say anything. They walked in silence and it wasn’t awkward anymore, bom felt comfortable with him and she found it really strange at how fast she felt at ease with him in just a short period of time. “maybe because I like him..” she thought. they were a few steps away from the company when bom saw a street vendor selling fish buns. “ji yong like fish buns..” she murmured. yongbae thought he heard bom say something. “did you just say something bom?” he asked. bom shook her head. “uh, no.. I just.. you should go inside first yongbae I will just buy something.”  Without saying anything yongbae followed her, but before he went inside the entrance door yongbae turned around and called bom who’s already walking away from him. “bom.” she turned around and wondered why. “bom, you’re really interesting and I’m looking forward to our next lunch together. thank you again.” with that, yongbae made his way inside the building with a smile on his face, letting bom to be left alone outside in a dazed. “di-did.. I heard him right? di-di yongbae really said I’m interesting? Interesting? So that means he’s interested in me??” bom touched her face with both of hands. jumping and squealing, she didn’t mind the people looking at her. “he said I’m interesting!! He said I’m interesting! Yongbae is interested in me!” bom ran over to the street vendor that sells fish bun. “ahjussi! You know, someone’s interested in me! I’m happy!” the mister laughed at her. “aigoo! you’re lucky miss you look so happy.” “NE! I’m happy! so so happy! ahjusii! Give me a lot of your yummy fish buns!”

After she bought all the fish buns, bom hurriedly went inside the building. she went inside the elevator and pushed the elevator button. “I’m going to tell this to ji yong. I’m going to tell him that I had lunch with yongbae and that….” bom almost went crazy, she can’t get over of yongbae. she  giggling like a little girl. as soon as the door opened, bom went straight to ji yong’s office.

“JUST A SIMPLE REPORT YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO DO IT?! I DON’T LIKE THIS TRASH!” bom was outside the door. she jumped in fright when she heard ji yong yelled. she was about to open the door and peeked in but a tall blonde girl opened it and went outside. They met their eyes for a moment until the girl walked away from her. “how could ji yong yelled at her?” she murmured.  

Bom opened the door and tiptoed inside. Ji yong was sitting down on the chair facing the wall, he didn’t noticed bom was inside her office. “sa-sajangnim..” “I told you! get out!” bom almost chickened out when she heard him yelled again. “ya-yah.. ji-ji yong it’s me.” realizing that it wasn’t his employee ji yong turned around and saw bom standing beside the door. “what are you doing here? sorry.” he said. bom walked towards him and gave him a plastic full of buns. “here. I bought this for you. you like fish buns right?” she placed it down above his desk. Ji yong just stared at it. “why are you here? don’t you have a work to do?” bom saw the unconcerned look of him she thought ji yong will be happy. “what’s wrong?” she said. “ji yong shook his head. he’s been working non-stop right now and doesn’t have the energy to explain everything to her. ji yong grab the plastic and handled it back to bom. “I’m not hungry. you take this with you.” “but it’s yours. i bought that for you.” ji yong looked up at bom and still gave her the plastic. “you take it and leave bom.” “yah! I said I bought that for you!” bom raised her voice with him she furrowed her eye brows and glared at him. ji yong was already annoyed by her. “yah?? are you yelling at me? I don’t have the time to argue with you just leave.” ji yong shooed bom away but bom didn’t go. “just because you got extremely mad with your employee doesn’t mean you have to take out your anger on me.” ji yong heard bom murmured and felt annoyed “What? what did you say?” bom didn’t bother to looked at him. she grabbed the plastic bag and prepared to leave but ji yong stood from his seat and blocked her. “what did you say?” ji yong said. “you want me to get out of here right? fine.” ji yong stopped bom. he hold her shoulder and turned her around forcefully. “why are you being like this? you always asked me to do everything you want! you want me to eat this fish bun! You want me to sip your iced tea! You want me let you work here! you want me to use you as jenny! I don’t really understand you! why are you being like this?” bom was surprised by ji yong, his face was red with anger. “what? so this is it? it’s not because of the employee? You’re really mad at me? for what? because of jenny? because of what I’ve told you?”  ji yong didn’t mean to say it. he was just so tired. “look.. I’m.. bom..” ji yong tried to apologize but bom suddenly interrupted him.

“when I saw you cried before, I was so hurt.. you were so lonely, so sad and I wonder how did you managed to live without her. . . .  ji yong, I’ve never felt so guilty in my life. Everyone told me that it wasn’t my fault.  but why everytime I see you miss her, everytime I see you cry . . . why do I feel so guilty? Thoughts like what if I was the one who died will you be happy again? What if I wasn’t unconscious at that time? I could have saved her. i asked you to use me as jenny because of this.  Because I don’t want to see you in pain and I don’t want to live my life with guilt.”

Ji yong can’t say a word. he watched bom on the verge of tears. When bom was about to cry, she gave the plastic bag with ji yong again and walked away leaving him motionless. before she opened the door, she stared at ji yong’s cold back and sighed. “I didn’t expect this. I was so happy a while ago, I bought that fish bun for you thinking it was your favorite food. I was so excited to tell you that yongbae and I had lunch together.. but everything was ruined.”
