Baekhyun watched how Kyungsoo took care of Jongin whenever he hurt his waist, and he memorized every action with both his heart and mind.

Whenever Yixing’s lower back injury relapsed, and he would be kneeling over on the floor gritting his teeth in pain, Baekhyun was always the first to shout and run over, letting Yixing lean on him and he would carry Yixing all the way to the car and drive him back to the dorm. The members knew better than to reason with Baekhyun in his panicked state, but they also knew that Yixing was in good hands.

Baekhyun would make sure Yixing made it home without his feet touching the ground once. On the couch, Baekhyun would rub the familiar ointment on Yixing’s waist, although he was painfully aware that the injury was much too severe to be cured this way. He would plaster a gentle smile on his face as he massaged Yixing’s waist with his strong hands, his heart prickling with every small sound Yixing makes out of pain. He would touch the crease between Yixing’s furrowed brows, wipe the cold sweat off his forehead and press a soft kiss on each of his eyes.

He would let Yixing grip his hand as his whole body tensed against the pulsing pain. He would helplessly run his hands over Yixing’s waist, his back, his face, and Yixing would open his eyes wearily and give a small smile. And it was enough to make Baekhyun’s breath catch in his chest.
