Luhan looked at Yixing pushing his food around on his plate. He hadn’t been eating properly since he came back, and he knew something must have happened at the hospital. At first he thought it was out of worry for Baekhyun, but whenever he tried to comfort him he would turn away and change the topic immediately. The minute he saw Chanyeol sneaking kisses onto the top of Baekhyun’s head, he understood why, and he didn’t like it. Yixing had been through so much. Now, despite everyone’s efforts to get food into Yixing’s mouth, he refused with a quiet finality that nobody dared to prod further into.

His gastritis relapsed and he was throwing up more than he was getting down. Sehun was close to taping Yixing to his bed to keep him from going for practice, but Yixing insisted with a determination that they hadn’t seen a while, and he relented. At the practice room Baekhyun lay among a mountain of beanbags and blankets. He was too sick to do anything that required more than getting up and walking around.

Yixing never stopped. When the rest were taking water breaks, he continued dancing in front of the mirror, his eyes focused on his body in the mirror, his sweat spraying with every flick of his head. Jongin approached with water, but Yixing took one gulp, patted his arm to thank him, and continued.

Sehun finally grabbed hold of his torso from behind and yelled, “Hyung, stop, hyung! You need to rest, hyung, please…”

Yixing struggled, but Sehun was stronger and he had in a dead lock. Yixing froze and felt the emotions that he had, at some point of time, shed away with his sweat, crashing back. The pain was almost too much to bear, and he felt his insides rolling from exertion. He crumpled and threw up on the floor.
