The Trainsick
After A Long Long WhileWe go back to Seoul a week after New Year, we got at the Busan Station late enough to missed the direct train so we have to take the slow train that will take us to several cities first before our final destination. AeRi doesn’t seem to mind about the delay, I’ve known her for a while to conclude that she’s in a very good mood during her stay in my parents’ house.
I’d be lying if I say I wasn’t nervous when I took her to my house for Christmas, deeply inside I’m also afraid in some way my parents would deny her with all of her backgrounds and histories. “Again?”
“I’m hungry.”
I follow her, we ordered two portions of meat dumplings to kill time before we need to get into our train. Lately she really has good appetite, either she’s so relaxed in this city or the food here are just that great.
“If you keep eating like this, I think you’ll get your toned and y body curve back in no time.” I say while chewing my dumpling.
“Ngg. I’m so hungry. It’s a different weather here, too windy. And the foods are too great not to be eaten.”
“Do you want me to order another portion?”
“No, it’s okay. I had a lot of your mom’s kimchi soup for lunch.”
“Her cooking is great, isn’t it?”
“Indeed. No wonder you’re such a great cook. I bet you used that great cooking skill of yours to get girls.” She kicks my foot with hers under the table.
“You know what? I just started cooking for real when you started to live with me. Before that I only knew how to make ramyeon, omelet and toast.”
“No way!” She drops her jaw in awe.
“Way!”
“But you cooked
