The Train Ride
After A Long Long WhileAeRi’s idea of dessert turns out to be a new Belgian waffle parlor in Hongdae area. It’s place where the clubs and youth restaurant are queuing up to welcome the youngster. We got there too late, the place already put their ‘sold out’ plank out front.
“Argh. There goes our dessert.” She whines.
“So where should we go now?”
“I don’t know, just buy a cake and go home I guess. I’m in no mood to hang out.”
“Why? Because I made you cry?” I turn around to stop her walking.
“No, because my plans are ruined. Had I known it will be this crowded, I’d go here first before dinner.” She pouts he mouth.
I’m relieve I thought she’s mad at me. “We’ll do dessert first on our next date.” I take her hand and walk next to her.
She’s a little taken aback with my move. “Will there be a next date?”
“Ngg. Of course, why not? I had a great time.” I wink at her.
“Even after the ring tossing by the bridge drama?”
“Yes, even after that.”
Obviously we’re in the wrong part of the city tonight. Hongdae’s always so crowded on Friday night. To get to the metro station, we must dive through hundreds of people. It’s almost like watching a live rock concert. I open the way at the front while still holding her hand. Once we got underground, the crowd doesn’t seem to disappear, seems like the whole city people agreed to hang out here altogether. Our train arrives and we go in with the rest of the crowd.
