out of boredom come bonding

“You know, we should go out and eat... Barbeque!” Sooyun called out to the dorm, disturbing the general silence of the area. “It’s boring here, no good dramas... Nothing new on the news, the internet, no gossip...” She continued, whining out towards the dorm.

But even with her complaints aired in the dorm it remained fairly silent, all the girls completely seperate from one another spending their Sunday completely free to do whatever they want.

“We aren’t going out, I’m already cooking dinner!” A lone voice then replied, particularly late to the intial whining of the maknae. Seyeon’s head appearing around the corner, neatly dressed up in an apron with spoon in hand. Sooyun groaned, turning around to shove her face in the pillows of the sofa.

“I swear Chinsun is better than this.” She mumbled, the words mixed and blurred in the cushions.

“You make it sound like purgatory...” Another voice called out from down the hall, most likely from one of the three bedrooms. “Just do something, a hobby or something?” It continued, slowly drifting off into silence.

“But Sarang unnie... It’s all boring!” Sooyun continued, making another long groan.

“Can we be quiet? I’m on the phone!” Jiyeon shouted from somewhere else, sounding pretty irritated as she told the whole household to be silent.

“At least you have something to do...” Sooyun frowned, putting her nose up and brooded on the couch. There was nothing she wanted to do, and she couldn’t really annoy anyone, because Minah wasn’t here to get her in trouble. Something about ‘personal business’.

Another figure dropped onto the couch, near Sooyun the weight alerting her to look right. Seoyul looking straight towards the maknae, almost expressionless.

“It’s just because all of a sudden you have nothing to do, which unlike a normal day where you practise from sunrise to sunset, you don’t have to do any of it.” Seoyul summerised, telling her why she was feeling so bored.

“Unnie... I’m still bored.” Sooyun continued on, “I have nothing I want to do.”

“Sorry to eavesdrop and all, but I have an idea.” Jungah appeared, smiling towards the pair not at all ashamed about admitting it. “Let’s play a group game, because isn’t that what normal groups do with one another?”

Seoyul shrugged, leaning back into the chair a little more, whereas Sooyun turned away from the other maknae.

“Not always.” Was the simple reply from Seoyul, which had Jungah’s smug smile turn into a confused frown. “Depends how well the group gets on with one another.”

“Instead of playing a game, why don’t we just share little bits about ourselves. Get to know each other.” Another voice suggested, Sarang coming around the corner holding a pokemon plushie.

“Oh... Secrets?” Sooyun questioned, the idea of sharing stories and things grabbing her attention.

“Since you wouldn’t be quiet, I’ve come to see why you’ve all decided to start talking- What’s this about secrets?” Jiyeon rambled as she walking into the room hands flailing everywhere, stopping when she processed the word ‘secrets’.

“We are going to share things about ourselves so we get to know one another.” Sooyun repeated quickly informing the elder.

“All of us? Oh yes, payback from last time.” Jiyeon clapped, turning on her heel and heading back down to the bedrooms. “Misoo! Vengence will be mine!”

“Okay done, I’ll get everyone!” Sooyun squealed, perking up now that there may be a cure for her boredom, all but flying off the couch and disppearing into rooms to get everyone leaving an almost agitated Seoyul in her wake and a overly smiling Sarang looking around for the best seat.
