“When the music comes on you know what you have to do right?” The eldest male standing behind one of the two cameras asked, confirming it with the stars of today. He was probably one of the best, especially when working with brand new rookies, because of his patience and willingness to reconfirm everything twice with them.
“Yes. Lipsync the words while we dance.” The leader confirmed quickly on behalf of the entire group, not waiting for everyone to confirm whether they knew or not.
“Good, now let’s get this thing done! Work hard girls! Hwaiting!” The lone man replies, showing a fist in the air and giving them a strong nod as he moved further back to focus on his task. The entire group moved themselves onto the single set, and moved themselves into their starting positions.
“Three... Two... One!”
Final words from the man were enough to send their nerves into overdrive as they listened to every beat of the music and did as they had been taught.
Every move had been drilled into their head, ruthlessly repeated until their feet nearly bleed in an effort for the first day of their real career as idols. Nothing had been in vain, nothing regretted as they danced in their first music video set. The familiar beats of the music and the brightly coloured set spurring them on.
“Cut!” Another man shouted, the music finishing just seconds before. Their bodies screamed energy, hiding any traces of exhaustion in its wake.
“The monitor is over here girls!” The first man informed them quickly, gesturing towards the tented area near the back that blocked out the neon fluroscent lights that continued to glow from the set. “You’ll want to see if it was satisfactory before we decide what to film next, or to refilm.”
“Girls when your done, I want you all back over here to do touch ups.” Minah called out to them, ushering other hair and makeup artists to the girls and having them fan the group to cool down.
Not one of them spoke, each of them criticing their performance with eyes that looked for even the slightest mistake whether it was dancing, lipsyncing or a wrong facial expression.
“We’ll need to refilm, there was a misstep.” Seoyul confirmed with the directors, but not naming any names or looking to single anyone out.
“I was a little out of time for the harmonisation between Jungah and I.” Jiyeon admitted, standing back from the screen where she had criticed her performance.
“And the rap transition where the Sarang comes out isn’t as smooth as it could be.” Seyeon pointed out, followed by a nod from said rapper.
“Yeah, definitely from when I get the mini megaphone.” Sarang agreed, standing up and stretching. The makeup artists starting to flock back to each individual member to wipe off any sweat and fix up anything that might have even slightly come off.
“Okay! Resetup! Everything back to it’s first place!” The director called out to everyone, anything and everything, people and all, were moved back into their initial positions to refilm it.

They've made it to their first music video shooting, in one piece!~ Our director (the first male that speaks, unnamed as of yet) is lovely (and will probably reappear a little later on in the story). But I totally think, due to this being the absolutely first time they would've been singing in a music video that it's kind of believable that he'd just make sure they knew what they were doing. (Unless you are Kai, who I've totally seen not singing during his parts.)
