“Marriage? You’re only barely into your twenties, you still have so much life ahead of you. Are you sure you want this?” Gyuri asked, crouching down to Jiyeon’s level on the floor and staring into her watery eyes.

“Yes, I’ve never been so sure in my life. All I can see is half spending my life performing, dancing and singing. And the other half with him, living out the rest of my life. He’s my bestfriend, and I love him.” Jiyeon admitted, dabbing her eyes a little bit.

Her words caused silence, all the managers taking her words in watching her movements as she said them, judging every last bit of it. Only to have Gyuri stand up and then pull out her phone.

“Good. Because if we want this to work you’ll have to be sure that you want this.” She cracked a smile, and then tapped away at her phone.

“Are you approving? What about her career, how would this affect it?” Minah called out towards the other manager and then back at Minhyuk who was trying to discreetly dab tears back from the declaration of love.

“Yah! Minhyuk-ah this is your team too! What do you think we should do?” She called him out, making his eyes widen.

“If she wants that then what are we to do about it other than work with it. There aren’t any rules for dealing with this.” Minhyuk mumbled under a look from Minah who was still hesistant to accept, only wanting the best for her charges.

“We just have to talk to Lu Han before he leaves back for Beijing to talk over how this will work. Everything can be kept a secret if it’s just between us.” Gyuri told her, looking at her with tense look. Minah just scoffed, and took a step forward to the other manager.

The group stared at the exchange between the two, Gyuri was being the nice, agreeing one for once and Minah the opposing force. All taken aback by the turn in tables.

“They always find out! It always spreads! Don’t you understand that while you may not care for her well being, even though you of all people know what it’s like to have that kind of comment directed towards you, I do!” Minah exclaimed, hands waving and pointing viciously towards the other.

“They won’t because we will be there. We will protect them every step of the way! And yes I would know, that’s why I am protecting her! You will never understand how that feels and I will forever pray that none of them will ever know how they feel!” Gyuri retorted, sneering at the other at the mention of her previous career.

The room returned to the silence, the tension between the two female managers weighing down the room with the sheer sparks of clashing personalities that flew between the two.

“Only if you know what you are doing, because so help if you mess this up I will come after you and you will learn the true definition of pain and will be wishing that you never agreed to this.” Minah threatened, giving up this once with hesitancy as she glared at the other manager.

Said woman’s corners of her lips curving up a little before she focused towards her phone and then towards Jiyeon who was smiling weakly but was exhausted emotionally.

“Time to call Lu Han, we have things to discuss.”
