A flutter of the heart

The attraction towards the Milkman

Kyungsoo waltzed into the kitchen, spinning with a twirl and reached into the cupboard. He grabbed the cereal and shook it into a bowl while shimmying. Man, he was happy today. He could feel the bliss flowing his veins, reaching all the way up to his face where a huge grin was plastered on. It was Saturday, an amazing Saturday, the day Jongin was coming to whisk him away. Well, not exactly whisk away. More like going on a trip to a theme park. Still awesome!

He almost felt like there was an air of euphoria surrounding him. It was a pity that Chanyeol wasn't in much of a good mood the other day, but those kind of things can't be helped. Kyungsoo felt his heart blossom with joy at the anticipation. Not only had he managed to hang out with Jongin pretty regularly, but they had gotten quite close, immensely helped by the fact that Jongin felt pretty lonely and Kyungsoo was just adorable overall.

He crunched on his cereal and ran-slid down the hall on his socks, stopping outside his bedroom. He walked in and inspected his wardrobe. Hmm...something that looks good...but good for roller coasters. Perhaps just jeans? Well, that's for later. He should have a shower first. Kyungsoo let out another uncontrollable beam as he entered the bathroom.

Jongin grinned in his own apartment. He couldn't believe such a of luck had happened in his life. Here, he was, delivering milk to this guy's house for ages when this whole time they didn't really bother to make conversation. Only when Kyungsoo had plucked up the courage to ask him had they become friends. What if he'd never asked? Jongin tried not to think about that. He didn't know any two people who were better fitted as friends. Every time he hung out with Kyungsoo, even if he was in a bad mood, Kyungsoo's silly antics would have him laughing until the sun went down. Jongin would admit it, he liked hanging out with Kyungsoo. He definitely seemed to be an awesome guy, and great for laughs. In fact, he didn't even bother to talk with his old "friends" who didn't even contact him anyway.

There was something off...he felt that he always felt Kyungsoo's eyes boring into him and when he turned to look, Kyungsoo sometimes looked at him like how a fangirl would look at her idol. He wasn't sure if this made him uncomfortable or not but it was a little strange. Though mostly relaxed, he always felt slightly tense near Kyungsoo.

Anyway, he was really looking forward to today. The themepark he chose was super fun and he'd gone before. He felt his heart beating with excitement and blushed at his own eagerness. He decided it was better to cool off with a shower.

...

Kyungsoo half walked half jogged along the street, pulling out his phone to look at the text Jongin sent him once again.
Hello Kyungsoo! Remember today? XD! I'm waiting at the bus stop.

Kyungsoo giggled. Jongin was so polite and gentlemanly, how could his ex girlfriend not see this? He couldn't fathom it. He ambled along until he reached the bus stop, it wasn't too far away. He started to see Jongin's waving figure. As he approached, his breath hitched in his throat a little. No matter how many times he'd seen Jongin, he was still blown away by him each time. He wasn't even wearing anything particularly revealing, just a shirt, a leather jacket on top and (as per usual) skinny jeans. But the way the sunlight caught his hair and the way the shirt clung to his torso...Kyungsoo forced his eyes away.

He meandered towards him, flashing a cheeky grin. "Hey!"

Jongin smiled back, eyes crinkling. "Nice to see you. Bus'll be here any minute.  You ready?"

Kyungsoo nodded fiercely, hair bouncing. "I can't wait."

Jongin saw the figure approaching the bus stop and raised his arm to wave at him. As Kyungsoo approached, Jongin couldn't help but to let out a warm smile. Even though they were both boys, he couldn't deny that Kyungsoo was freaking cute. Walking over here in that oversized sweater that he loves to wear. Jongin couldn't believe that Kyungsoo didn't have girls falling all over him, let alone a girlfriend. He could see Kyungsoo's hands twisting the hem of his sweater and felt his eyes glide over him again in that mysterious way. Jongin swallowed. What was Kyungsoo staring at him for? He suddenly felt self conscious and wondered if he was wearing anything out of place. However, the thought soon faded when Kyungsoo approached with a chirpy "Hey!"
Jongin felt himself smile at Kyungsoo's innocent cheery face. "Nice to see you." He said. And he meant it.

Since they took the bus to the theme park, it took a while. However, they were both content chatting away, telling each other funny stories. Jongin knew that Kyungsoo had some sort of best friend called Chanyeol. He seen him before, a cheery good looking guy. As Kyungsoo rambled on about stories of him and Chanyeol doing the most ridiculous things, Jongin couldn't help but grin. Kyungsoo seemed to be really close with Chanyeol. It was heart warming in a way. He started chuckling when Kyungsoo told him the ridiculous story of how he met Chanyeol for the first time, seeing him clutching a frilly pink dress.

Kyungsoo eventually drifted off to sleep, head lolling about his shoulder, a stray earphone dangling out of one ear. Jongin absentmindedly watched him as he slept, resting his chin propped up on his arm. He noticed that Kyungsoo had strangely angelic features, especially when he could see them clearly (usually Kyungsoo was always grinning widely). Kyungsoo's lips were partly open and wet, as if he'd just them. Jongin stared at his lips for a while, transfixed by the way they reflected the light.

He snapped out of it and shifted slightly, uncomfortable with his own thoughts. Where were these thoughts coming from? Maybe Kyungsoo was just unusually feminine. Or he was just really . Perhaps the former. Jongin decided to drift off until they reacher the theme park.

                                                                                ...

BEEP!

"Everybody! We've almost arrived at Condor Park!" The driver hollered cheerily.

Jongin let out a groan and pushed his body up with his numb arms. He glanced Kyungsoo who was still asleep. Tentative, he reached out a hand and gently shook his arm.
"Kyungsoo...we're here...wake up."
Kyungsoo moaned and swatted Jongin's hand away, turning his face over to the other side.
Jongin sighed and put a hand on Kyungsoo's knee, shaking his leg vigourously.
"C'mon Kyungsoo!"
And just at that moment, the second of pure coincidence, the bus hit a pothole and the force pulled people forwards and pushed them backwards.
It was just his luck that as people flew backwards in their seats, Jongin's hand was pushed back and it slid clumsily down Kyungsoo's thigh.

As if by reaction, Kyungsoo let out a sensual moan. Jongin instantly pulled his hand back and cradled it close to his chest, eyes wide with disbelief. He averted his gaze, staring at the floor, with enough intensity to burn a hole through the linoleum. What the was that? Did he just imagine that?

He quickly looked back up at Kyungsoo. Still sleeping. Good.

Jongin felt more uncertain than ever. He shook his head. Maybe he was just tired. Anyway.

He guessed that Kyungsoo was having a ...strange dream. Better not to tell him about it.

Finally, when the bus had stopped, Kyungsoo had awakened, rubbing his tired eyes with his balled fist. Jongin had mumbled a few things about getting off but Kyungsoo wasn't really paying attention. He was still half asleep and just grabbed his backpack and stumbled off the bus. While Jongin stood at the booth buying tickets, Kyungsoo leaned against a wall and yawned, trying to wake up.

                                                                                                  ....

"Oh my gosh, can't we go on this ride? Please, please, please?"

Kyungsoo had been begging to go on the same ride for the entire day. And the reason of why Jongin had been against it the entire day was because it was a "love ride." Like one of those couple rides where they go through that weird tunnel. Except maybe this was a more hard core version because it actually had some twists and turns in it.

"Dude, what the hell? Why? It doesn't even look that fun, except maybe for that drop at the end. Also, we would look like a couple." Jongin protested.

Kyungsoo tugged on Jongin's arm. "What? A couple! uh...no way man, people will just think we're having a laugh. Jeez, are you insecure about your uality? ooh, Jongin..."

Jongin choked. "K-Kyungsoo!" He spluttered.

Kyungsoo slyly smiled. "Well, If you're so manly then...please please come on the ride! C'mon Jongin! It'll be fun!"

Jongin sighed and rolled his eyes. "Fine." He huffed. "But it better be good."

He let Kyungsoo drag him towards the entrance. It was a heart shaped hole with purple bedazzled curtains concealing the inside. Painted on the sides of the wall were pictures of couples posed in provocative positions. Laughing, Kyungsoo approached a picture of a largely curvaceous woman.

"Oh look at me.." He chuckled, posing lewdly in the same way as the woman in the picture, standing right next to her. He pretended to toss his imaginary long curls and gave a sultry look towards Jongin.

"Jongin...." He sighed in a girly voice.

Jongin took at step back and caught his breath . What. the. actual. f. was happening here. He was no longer debating if he was tired or . His heart was beating fast and he swallowed nervously. The way Kyungsoo was posed...it was both innocent and suggestive at the same time. He felt his heart flutter for a fraction of a second. The

Jongin averted his eyes, legs slightly trembling. Oh gosh. Did he just get ...by a man?

That wasn't possible! Not at all! Never!

He definitely knew he wasn't gay. He literally just broke up with his girlfriend a couple months ago. Then what was happening to him? Just really really , he debated. But enough to get by a friend. A guy friend?

He didn't realise his whereabouts until Kyungsoo called his name.
"Yah, Jongin. You alright? You're really red..."

Jongin blinked furiously and mustered up a fake smile.
"Yeah! Just a little warm..."
