“The moment I met you at the office you have been bragging about that Uncle Milo of yours, and now we are about to sleep, still I am hearing stories about him, should I get jealous on someone I haven’t met? My son has been telling stories about him since the first day he arrived in Korea” Shinhye’s tone was teasing Andrei but she cannot let Andrei know she is getting quite jealous already.

“Mom, he is just a friend, and you are my mom, I am thinking if you could meet him, you’ll like him!” Andrei hugs his mom as he explains

“I was just teasing, I am happy you have met him again, you were so frustrated when you lost the card he gave you right?” Shinhye remembered

“Yeah mom can I text him and invite him over so we can play games?” Andrei asked

“You’ve only met him 3times, yet you seem so close to him, how old was he?” Shinhye was curious to know

“I don’t know, he is just old enough to be your boyfriend,” Andrei grins as he teased his mom

Shinhye tickled her son, “So, are you playing cupid here? You want him as my boyfriend?”

“Mom, stop it tickles, hahaha... Mom please” Andrei keeps on laughing as his mom tickles him

“Ok, I was just joking, ofcourse the man who will win your heart should love you” Andrei looked up at his mom

“And especially you” Shinhye pinched Andrei’s nose then hugged him again

“Mom, can I ask a question, an awkward one” Andrei softly asked while he hugged back his mom

“Ok, am I going to be scared with that awkward question of yours?”

“What was my…. Uhmmm… father like?” Andrei hid his face at his mother’s arms after asking

It was a sudden question Shinhye was not prepared to answer, but she has to

“Hmmm..what was he like? He is as handsome as you are, but not as much as you are. He is a dedicated person, a hardworking man, he likes to sketch and draw too” Shinhye was caressing Andrei while answering his question

“Why’d he don’t know me? Andrei’s follow up question hit Shinhye, she tilted Andrei’s chin so that he’ll face him

“Sweetheart, right now, he doesn’t know he have you, but I assure you, he loves you as much as I do, whatever happened between us, does not affect you being our son, always remember that” Shinhye kissed Andrei’s forehead, it pained her to see her son without a father but she has no choice.

“I love you mom, but having you is all that matters, I don’t need him, we don’t need him right? You can be happy with a man who can love you, and me too”

“Andrei, don’t talk like that, someday when you meet your dad, you need to love him too and...”

“No mom, I won’t! He left you, he left us right? I don’t need to know him, and same thing he doesn’t need to know about me too” Andrei’s word makes Shinhye hugged him more

“My Andrei, someday you will understand, but for now, you can’t build hatred towards your father, I will be sad sweetheart,”

“I’m sorry mom, I will try, thanks for answering my question, let’s sleep now”

“Mommy loves you so much” Shinhye kissed Andrei’s forehead again

“Love you too mom” Andrei’s reply as he doze off to slumber land

“Choi Si Won” Shinhye murmured as she looked at her sleeping son beside her.

Shinhye’s thoughts were clouded of memories from the past as she keeps on caressing her sleeping son beside her.

Minho went out of the bedroom and smelled something delicious from the kitchen where Shinhye was preparing a delicious breakfast. He hugged her from the back which startled Shinhye.

“Yah, Oppa you scared me! Why are you awake already?”  Shinhye turned off the stove and faced Minho

“Coz you were not beside me, that’s why I woke up already, how’s my fiancé today? You still not feeling well? It’s been a week since you feel unwell, you looked pale and been dizzy from time to time” Minho checked on Shinhye

“Perfectly fine oppa, I told you it just needed rest, I was just stressed in the University that’s why” Shinhye replied

“Kaja, since you’re already awake, you prepare the table so that we can eat breakfast already” Shinhye pinched Minho’s nose. Breakfast went on but Minho was mostly quiet, he smiles at her but his mind is flying somewhere else.

“Oppa. Something is bothering you? You were not talking the whole time we were eating, is there something wrong with the food I cooked?” Shinhye asked worriedly as she went to Minho’s seat and sat on his lap

“Ani, the food tastes perfect, I am so full now” Minho replied as he wrapped his arms around Shinhye

“Something is wrong, I can sense it, you just nod on all my stories during our breakfast, tell me”

“I can’t really hide something from you, it’s actually halmoni, remember Kim Ji Won?” Minho lean his face to Shinhye’s chest

“Eo, she’s the one halmoni wants you to marry” a pang of hurt was obvious in Shinhye’s voice

“My love, you know I will only marry you, and I already talked to halmoni about that, and see her reaction when I proposed to you last week, she didn’t protest right? She already accepted you”

“And what about her now, and halmoni?” Shinhye asked, an obvious change of tone was heard by Minho

“My love, halmoni asks me if I can accompany her for the time being she is staying here in Seoul, for 2weeks until New Year. “ Minho’s voice was low and pleading

“2weeks? The whole holiday?” Shinhye stood up and faced Minho

“You will be back to halmoni’s house for 2weeks? With her?” Shinhye exclaimed

Minho pulled Shinhye near and hugged her, “My love, we are engaged now, after my graduation we will get married, being with her in one house does not necessarily means something, I will just do this for halmoni, I will still check on you every day, I will be here for you” Minho tighten his hug but Shinhye was now in a bad mood hearing Minho.

“Ok, do whatever you feel like doing, after all you can’t say no to halmoni. I don’t want to be the antagonist here” Shinhye removed Minho’s hand from her hugging her and walked straight to their bedroom.
