Awkward Buddy

The moment Tiffany heard what I said she was confused trying to understand what is happening.

“Taecyeon.. I don’t.. I don’t know what to say..” Tiffany said

“I know it’s hard to believe but that’s what I feel for you. I love you Tiffany Hwang” He said

“I have to go… Bye...” Tiffany said

“Fany~ah wait…” I said grabbing her hand

I held her hand for a moment but she didn’t look at me so I turned her around and kiss her. She froze for a second I was hoping that she would return the kiss but I was wrong; she pushed me and run away.

Tiffany POV

‘Why did he kiss me?’ I pondered as I ran away from him. As I reach our house and went straight to my room and lock myself in. I lay down on my bed and the thoughts of him start to bother me. I was so exhausted that I didn’t notice I was already sleeping.

Tiffany’s Dream

Its autumn, the leaves are falling from the trees the breeze of the wind send tingling sensations through her skin.

They were sitting on the park bench she held his hand and confesses to him

‘Oppa, I like you…’

‘Fany~ah, I’m sorry I only see you as my dongsaeng nothing special than that..’

‘But Oppa, I can wait...’

‘No. Tiffany you deserve someone better than me...’

He hugs me and bid goodbye. But I held him too tight because I don’t want him to leave. Suddenly he was slowly vanishing in my arms until he was all gone.

Suddenly I heard a loud knock from the door.

“Fany~ah! Wake up now! We’ll be late for school!” Kyuhyun said

I’m still half asleep then I look at the alarm clock and it was already 6:40.

“OH MY! I’m so dead late!” I said then immediately stood up to grab my towel and take a bath.

“Oppa! Wait for me!” I screamed

After I finished taking a bath I ran through my walk-in closet to dress up then pack my stuff and went downstairs.

“Tiffany, aren’t you eating your breakfast?” my Mom asks

“Mom, I’m going to be late I’ll just take my milk.” I said to my Mom

“Here take some sandwich that I made so you can eat it inside the car, I don’t want any of you starve while in class” My Mom said handing the sandwich to me.

“Thanks Mom, okay we’ll be going now bye mwaa!” I said and gave her a kiss

Then my brothers and I went to school.

As I walk in to my classroom someone grab my hand.

“Fany-ah, can we talk?” Taecyeon asked

“Taecyeon, just… Leave me for a while... please?” I said in English

“Tiffany… Please… I want to talk to you” he pleaded

But I let go from his grip and walk away. For the moment I saw him being like that I felt something inside that I can’t explain.

‘Am I still not over him?’I thought to myself.

But my thoughts were disturb when someone called me.

“Tiffany, Good morning” he said

It’s Siwon oppa.

“Good morning Oppa.” I answered

“So uh Tiffany... May I ask you something?” He asked

“Sure what is it oppa?” I said

 “Uhm… I just want to ask... Is it okay with you to be my partner for the glee duet audition?” He said

“Oh, what time is that? I asked

“It’s after classes remember? Today is also the solo auditions.” he said

“Oh my I totally forgot I didn’t practice last night.” I said

“I see, hmm can we practice later lunch time so you can also practice your song.” He said

“Okay, sure no problem.” I said

“Okay I’ll see you later, bye” He said

“Bye oppa.” I said

I went inside my classroom after Siwon oppa and I talked.

“Good morning Tiff!” Jessica said

“Good morning Jessi.” I said

“Are you okay?” she asked

“Uh sort of, I’m worried about the auditions later I haven’t practice any song last night ‘cause I didn’t notice that I have fallen asleep.” I said

“Oh okay let’s practice later, I’ll help you” she said

“I would love too but Siwon oppa asked me earlier to practice with him ‘cause he invited me to be his partner duet later.” I said

“Oooh~ you and Siwon oppa will be partners~” She said teasing me while making a heart sign

“Aniyo~ don’t be like that Jessi he’s just nice that’s all.” I said defending myself from her

“Okay if you say so, I’ll just ask Seohyun to join me later for the practice” She said

“Jessi I hope all of us will pass the auditions later.” I said

“I hope so too Tiff” She said

Then Sooyoung call us because the teacher is already coming.

“Hey guys go back to your seats now our homeroom teacher is coming.”

Ms. Kim enters the room.

“Good morning class.” She said

“Good morning Ms. Kim” we greeted her

“Okay class today we will be having an English translation activity.” She said

Some of the students react.

“Aigoo~”

“I will be writing Hangul terms on the board then you write the English translation.” She added

“Ma’am can we just do this as an assignment.” a guy from the back said

“No Mr. Lee, you should do this activity today because this will serve as an assessment choosing a candidate for the upcoming English interschool competition next month.” She said

“Araso...” He said

Ms. Kim wrote 50 Hangul terms then she gave us thirty minutes to translate it all by writing it on a pad paper. She also said that this activity will serve as our first quiz in English.

After thirty minutes

“Okay class, stop writing then pass your paper now.” She said

After all of the students passed the papers Ms. Kim dismissed the class.

While fixing my things a guy approaches me.

“Hi, I’m Lee Min Ho.” He said

“Hello, I’m Stephanie Hwang.” I answered

“Yeah uhm I heard that you’re from L.A. and Ms. Kim asked me to be your ‘buddy’ here in school” He said

“What’s a buddy?” I asked

“It’s like a personal body guard/ friend/ tutor/ whatever you like just to help you cope up here in school something like that.” He said

“Oh I see are the others will also be having buddies?” I asked

“Yep, Ms. Kim said that it is exclusive for first year students.” He said

“Ah okay.” I said awkwardly

“Okay I got to go, see you around buddy.” He said

“See you around too bud-dy” I said stuttering at my last word

He wave at me then left the room.

Suddenly I thought to myself,

I wonder why I was feeling uncomfortable by his presence.
