“Hey, Tae-“, Jungkook tried to reach out and call for his classmate, but he didn’t realise that some boys were behind him, stopping him.

“Hey Jungkook!” said a voice that belonged to a boy. Jungkook had to stare at him for a few seconds to remember his name. Jung Hoseok. He was a bit taller than Jungkook, light brown hair that barely covered his forehead. His smile was big, but his stare was serious.

“Uhm, hi”, Jungkook replied unsure. When he turned around again, Taehyung was nowhere to be seen. He sighed silently to himself, but turned to the boys that were standing in front of him. It surprised him to see Namjoon standing there with a smile on his face. His face was sweet with his dimples and he looked harmless to even flies. His hair was blonde, nearly white; he was tall and he could be mistaken as a foreigner.

“We talked together….” Hoseok started and glanced at Namjoon.

“…and we want you in our group!” Namjoon finished his sentence. Jungkook’s eyes widen in shock and he couldn’t help but to stare at them amazed.

“Group?” he managed to ask. He didn’t know what they were talking about.

“We’re a small group of five people. It’s Namjoon, me and some other boys in the second year”, Hoseok explained. Jungkook was still confused and wasn’t sure what they really wanted from him.

“We’re a group of friends”, Namjoon said shortly after realising Hoseok still wasn’t able to answer. Jungkook was surprised, but he felt happy. Friends. That must mean they want to be friends with me, right, Jungkook thought to himself. He felt happy that someone wanted to be friends with him already. He immediately smiled and nodded. Hoseok didn’t laugh anymore. He seemed pleased.

“Alright, meet us in the cafeteria at lunch. We’ll introduce you to our other friends”, Hoseok said and then they walked away from the happy Jungkook. He couldn’t believe that he already made friends. He wanted to call his mother right away and tell her, but he was still at school, and his mother was working. He didn’t want to disturb her.

Jungkook’s next class was Music. It was only Music, and then it’d be lunch. He felt excited already. He wanted to meet the others straight away and make friends. What surprised him was that whenever he thought of friends, his thoughts went back to Kim Taehyung. Why did he think so much of that boy? What made him catch his attention? Was it the way he was quiet? The way he was by himself, and people didn’t even glance at him? Was it because he seemed lonely? Because Jungkook could see the sadness in his eyes?

That wasn’t all of his reasons though, Jungkook thought. He was a t
