Mystery figure kept their eyes on Haneul until they were back in class. *That girl better not overstep her boundaries. It's only her first day though. I'll see what she does in the future.*

With all the students seated back in class, Mrs. Song began speaking up again.

"Alright children, I've dealt with the technical problem so now we can start this slideshow I made for you guys. Basically, today I'll be assigning your major project of the course. Since this is the advanced level of the vocal course we're going to work mostly on this project right from the beginning so make sure you give it your all! But of course I know you all will because you've never let me down!" Mrs. Song was doing it again, that really cheerful smile. And Haneul loved it. She admired how much this teacher loved her students.

The slide show started right away and Mrs. Song got down to business. "Over the summer I did some planning and using the list I had, I chose your partners. Yes I said partners, the first project is a duet! I did take into consideration of which voices compliment each other and work together well so you'll most likely be satisfied." 

The class began speaking in hushed tones, getting excited over the news. Haneul, however, was kind of nervous if she was being completely honest. She didn't know many people in class and she doubts that her name was even on the class list over the summer since the move was pretty urgent. She registered for classes only a couple weeks back. *I wonder who I'll get put with*

Mrs. Song brought the attention back to herself as she went into more detail about the project. "Alright, so you and your partner will be working together for a while to create an original song and perform it together. Lyrics, music, composition and type of song is all going to be created and formed by the two of you. I will not restrict you from picking a specific genre because I know you're all very capable of pulling off a variety of genres. I wanted to start senior year off with a bang so this is what I came up with. But that's not all. You could say this is, in a way, a competition too. Considering all factors, I will be choosing the number one duet. You two must be able to work in harmony and compliment each other through the emotions of the music. This is one of the most important things that I need you to remember. 1st place duo will be getting the opportunity to sing at the school festival coming up in 1 month."

At this the class started up the excitement once more. *Performing in front of the whole school? Sounds fun! I hope I can win. But it all depends on my partner so we'll see.* Haneul kept to herself while everyone around her was talking. She was lost in her thoughts trying to narrow down the people she thought would be good to work with. Of course her two friends seemed like great people to work with. Mostly everyone seemed nice enough too.
