Onyx’s POV
The week quickly passed by and Onyx was ready to take the weekend off. She had to stay late every single day just to clean up and organize the company; then again she was organizing it to her standards. Then word spread about Aaron somehow being related to SNSD and that’s how they got their position. Although this is mostly SNSD’s problem, Onyx felt bad that their connection through Youngji was affecting the crew so early in the process. Not only that, but some of the high-level entry officials did not like the fact that Onyx could speak Korean and was using a translator. They even had the audacity to question Onyx’s position and wanted to have a meeting with the board of directors. As if they had the power to flip the table and take the company away from Onyx. In short terms, it was not Onyx’s week.
Onyx was starting to enjoy her Saturday, when Aaron had to come along. “Thank goodness your awake, I do not want to be the one wake you up after the week you had.” Aaron said as he walks into Onyx’s room with drinks and breakfast. Onyx glared at Aaron but still accepted the breakfast plate he handed her. “What happened?” Onyx questioned Aaron as he got comfortable on the bed. “Two things; both good, mind you. So which do you want first, A or B?” “A.” “Okay, so I was talking to Youngji yesterday and she said that she would be off today and wanted you to meet her crush. And I quote, ‘Don’t embarrass me and make it super clear that we are just really close friends.’ She must really like this girl if she wants our approval. Second, you know how you wanted to meet your parents close friends? The ones who you practically grew up with and their daughter hated your guts.” Aaron asked and waited for Onyx to nod her head yes. She did, “Okay so at the restaurant where I got the food at, I bumped into the wife. The only reason I knew it was her was because we literally bumped into each other and by some unreal, mystical force my notepad landed with her name and information. Which I had gotten from your parents contact list, so she wanted to know why I had her information and what I was going to do with it. Being the awesome gentleman that I am, I told her why and when I said your name she remembered who you were and said that you should have dinner with them on Sunday since her husband won’t be back till this evening.” Aaron finished off as if he was reading a To-Do list. “Okay, what time do we meet up with Youngji?” Onyx asked Aaron as she finished her breakfast. Giving Aaron a chance to eat some food, she got up and started to pick out her outfit for the day. She chooses a college cardigan, a casual solid colored dress shirt, jeans, and her favorite pair of Vans. “I was thinking a dinner since this would be an official ‘Let’s meet and embarrass Butterfly’s honey.’” Aaron made quotation marks around the official title as he spoke. “I agree. Tell Youngji about the dinner plans and ask her if she isn’t busy right now we should go shopping for clothes. I didn’t really pack for social events.” Onyx told Aaron as she was looking through her closet. Aaron just laughed at her but started texting Youngji. “What about dinner plans for tomorrow with your parents friends?” “That’s fine. Just let me know if it is going to be at their house or at a restaurant.” Onyx told Aaron while she got her bag ready. “Youngji said that she can meet us up.” Aaron and Onyx got ready to leave.
At a shopping center.
“Hey guys! Over here.” Youngji called out as she saw Aaron and Onyx walking into the food center. As they walked closer they saw a familiar body waiting next to Youngji. “Hey guys, hope you don’t mind but Hyoyeon said she needed to buy some things and I told her she could come with me.” “No worries, the more the merrier. Right Onyx?” Aaron asked Onyx as he give her a ‘here is your chance to find out more about her’ look while he pulled Youngji close to him and started walking to the first clothing store, leaving Hyoyeon and Onyx together. “I don’t mind, you?” Onyx asked Hyoyeon while she started to follow. “Not really.” Hyoyeon shyly responded. “You know, you don’t have to treat me like your big scary CEO. Today I am just your friend’s crush best friend. Unless you are Youngji’s crush than in that case, I am your crushes best friend.” Onyx finished off trying not to sound too disappointed about the idea of Youngji and Hyoyeon being together. “No, no, Youngji is crushing on Seohyun. She was the one glaring at you at the restaurant. She thinks that you and Youngji are more than just best friends. You guys are just best friends right?” Hyoyeon asked Onyx. Onyx held the door open for Hyoyeon as they arrived to the first shop. “Best friends. She is the sister I wanted but never had. Don’t worry I am single.” Onyx didn’t know why she had to make sure Hyoyeon knew she was single. Honestly she didn’t know she was like this right now. “That’s good. Seohyun would have had a heart attack if she tought her precious Youngji was taken.” Hyoyeon giggled as she started to imagine Seohyun finding out that Youngji was with someone else. The conversation slowly died out as they caught up with Aaron and Youngji. “Okay so Onyx needs some clothes for tonight and some nice ‘social events’ clothing for tomorrows dinner. I want to look around for some gifts for my parents. You guys?” Aaron asked Youngji and Hyoyeon. “I need some things for my apartment.” Youngji answered, “I need some clothes as well.” Hyoyeon answered. “Okay so Youngji and I will go our way and you and Hyoyeon will go clothing shopping.” Aaron said as he pointed at Onyx. “Meet y'all back at the food court in two hours” Aaron told the group, but before anyone could protest he dragged Youngji to the next store, once again leaving Hyoyeon and Onyx alone. “Okay so I guess it’s just us two.” Onyx told Hyoyeon while she was mentally beating Aaron up for leaving her alone with Hyoyeon.
Authors Note: Sorry I couldn’t post this chapter this past Sunday since I just got back from being out of town yesterday. Then my grandparents arrived so I couldn’t really leave them to write this chapter out. So to make it up to you guys I wrote some extra.
