Onyx’s POV
After countless of performances, Onyx was getting ready to walk up and leave. The only thing that was keeping her seated was the fact the Aaron seemed excited for one of the acts. “Who are you so excited for?” Onyx whispered to Aaron as the third to last crew got on stage. “I have been waiting for this crew.” Aaron whispered back as he fixed his attention to the stage. Following Aaron’s lead, Onyx also focused on the stage. The first thing Onyx noticed was the only blonde girl that was standing in the center. As the music started to play, an up-beat techno remix of Girl’s and Peace, the girls got into position. Three minutes later when the song ended, the girls ended with a powerful dance move. As the host went on stage the girls got in line to hear what the judges have to say. “So judges, do these girls make it to the next round?” As the first three judges passed their judgment, all saying yes, all eyes turned to Onyx, who by the way had only said yes to two crews. After a minute of silence, Onyx finally gave her answer, “Yes.” SNSD cheered happily that they are moving on to the next round.
Two tryout rounds later
Once the final four were chosen; two dance crews and two groups, the judges, host and crew members walked to a meeting room in the back. The head judge, Mr. Cho, formally introduced himself. “Hello finalist, how are you guys feeling? I am the head recruiter, Mr. Cho. Okay let’s get this over with so you guys can go celebrate. You guys will be given access to the company for six months; at that point you will be going through evaluations. If you pass, the company will continue to work with you and then work towards your debut. If you do not pass, then you will be cut. Anything else you wish to add CEO Salazar?” All eyes turned to Onyx, but she was focused on Hyoyeon. Aaron coughed to get Onyx’s attention and told the translator to repeat it once more. “Ah, yes I do have thing; I will be watching you guys for the following weeks. If you prove to me that you are nothing more than a waste of time, then I will personally cut you off.” Onyx allowed the translator to finish before looking back at Mr. Cho to finish. Mr. Cho finished off and gave the clear for the new trainees to leave. “See you tomorrow at the building.” As the judges cleared up the paperwork, Onyx and Aaron got ready to leave. “So I will see you tomorrow, or will you be with the higher up instead?” Mr. Cho asked Onyx in English. “I will stop by to see how they fit in, but I will mostly likely be with the board of directors.” Onyx responded as she grabbed her things and left.
“So are you going to tell me why you were staring that girl down or do I have force it out of you?” Aaron questioned Onyx as they got into the car. “I would like to see you try that?” Onyx teased Aaron. “But there will be no need for that. Remember my Hero?” Onyx asked Aaron, “Of course I remember, the only person beside me who actually care for. How can I forget that?” Aaron replied and handed the driver the address to the restaurant they were going to go eat at. “Yes, well that girl has the same smile and it just made me remember my Hero.” “Maybe that’s her?” “Don’t mess with me Aaron; you know what she means to me. Plus, she might not even remember me. It has been thirteen years. I was ten at the time and she was twelve, and to add salt to the wound, I don’t think I meant that much to her. I was just one of her many friends.” Onyx sadly told Aaron. “I don’t get it. How can you be so confident when running the company? How can you be widely respected and feared, but have no confidence when it comes to your personal life? I mean, after what happened” “Enough.” Onyx stopped Aaron before he could finish. “Okay fine I’ll stop for now, but promise me that you will do something about that.” “I promise; I am after all going to visit my parent’s closest friends. Maybe I can get some closure.” As the car came to a stop at the restaurant, Onyx thanked the driver and quickly got out of the car. Aaron just laughed at how childish Onyx acts when talking about this subject, but followed suit and got out of the car. As the pair sat down at their table Aaron noticed something, well more like someone. “Is that Youngji?” Upon hearing that name, Onyx turned to direction that Aaron was facing.
