Hyoyeon’s POV
As the girls watched Onyx drive out of Yuri’s parents drive way, two different emotions were running through their minds. Yuri was relieved that Onyx would not drop her from the company, and Hyoyeon was excited to know that her nerd wanted to talk to her. Once Onyx’s car was out of sight; both girls walked to Yuri’s room. “I can’t believe Onyx was nice to me even after how I treated her.” Yuri exclaimed as she flopped on her bed. Sitting on the couch, Hyoyeon gave a simple nod in response. “Okay what gives, I know you must be happy to be back with your nerd, but why do you look like you regret it?” Noticing how Yuri said nerd with some venom in it, Hyoyeon just had to ask. “I will answer you if you answer my question first.” A nod yes was all she needed to continue, “What do you have against Onyx? The bullying, the name calling, everything; what did she do to you?” Yuri slowly sat up and let a small sigh escape. “She took you from me.” She whispered after a few moments of silence. Hyoyeon just gave her a confused look, hoping that Yuri would explain what she meant without having to ask her. Sighing, Yuri started to explain; “After you meet her, it was always ‘my nerd this’ ‘my nerd that.’ You were and still are my best friend, but back then I felt like I was being replaced by some…nerd! And I hated it! So I thought if I thought that if I bullied her for a while she would get the hint and leave you alone. But NOOO you had to go in there and be like a hero or something to her. Helping her up after I knocked her down. I know it was immature of me, but I just couldn’t help myself.” Finishing off with a deep sigh, Yuri waited for Hyoyeon’s reaction. After a few minutes of silence, Hyoyeon laughed. Straight out, gut holding, laugh. Hyoyeon had tears in her eyes from all the laughing. Walking up to give Yuri a side hug Hyoyeon finally was able to take a deep breath. “You silly girl, you will always be my best friend, no matter what. Onyx is just different.” Hyoyeon didn’t know if she could trust Yuri with this information, but she just shared a secret with her so it was probably fair. With a blush creeping up on her face, Hyoyeon continued on. “She is my first love.” She didn’t know how Yuri would act, but what got was not what she explained. “Darn it! Great! Thanks! Some best friend you are. Now I owe Yoona $50.” Yuri sort of shouted and fell back on her pillows disappointed.” Hyoyeon was definitely confused at this point. Putting her arms on her hips and giving Yuri a questioning glare she spoke; “Care to explain?” Yuri let out a small chuckle but still sat back up. “After the auditions Yoona was talking school flings and said that your nerd was your first crush slash love, so I told her that your first crush slash love was Ho-Young from G.O.D. So we made a bet. So now I owe her $50, thanks for that.” After the initial shock from finding out that her best friends were betting on her love life, Hyoyeon smacked Yuri on the arm. “That’s what you get for betting against me. So you are okay with me liking another girl?” Hyoyeon hesitantly asked Yuri. Yuri only gave Hyoyeon a tight hug and told her that it didn’t matter to her. “Plus I knew that you played for the same team when you got little stars in your eyes every time Onyx would talk to you back in school. Or any pretty girl for that matter.” Hyoyeon happily gave Yuri a big hug and a thank you. “So now that the air is clear, want to spend the night?” Both girls just laughed as they made themselves comfortable after nodded yes and put a movie on.
Three Days Later, Wednesday Afternoon
The four girls were still at MS Entertainment practicing, when Aaron walked into the room with Youngji and Seohyun. “Look who I saw walking to café nearby.” Aaron gleefully exclaimed. “Yeah right, you offered to pick us up from work.” Youngji laughed at her cousin. “Anyway,” Aaron ignored Youngji and signaled for the girls to sit around him. “So I know this is y’all’s second week here, but how would you four like to be in a music video?” “For reals for reals?” Sooyoung asked. “Yeah for reals; one of Onyx’s ‘friends’” he made air quotes when saying friends, “is shooting a music video for new song, and Onyx said that she had an all-female dance crew here in Korea. So, again, how would you guys like to be in a music video?” Yuri, Yoona, and Sooyoung could barely say yes from their excitement, but Hyoyeon shushed the girls down and looked directly at Aaron, “What do you mean ’friends’?” she did the air quotes as well. Aaron made sure that the door was closed and signaled for the girls to get closer, “since are practically family with Youngji and Sooyoung attached at the hip, I will tell you this. I know for a fact that this artist has it bad for Onyx, but Onyx has her eyes set on this girl from her past, who I believe needs to show up soon or else Onyx will have to change her status from wealthy, young, single CEO to wealthy, young, out-of-your-league-and-also-taken CEO.” Aaron finished off excited from talking gossip. Yuri looked at Hyoyeon, nudged her and started to laugh. Everyone turned to Yuri and started to look at her like she went insane. “So not only do you love your nerd, she apparently has feelings for you.” Hyoyeon blushed but kept quiet. Just like the rest of them. “You are the Hero?!” both Aaron and Youngji pointed and asked at the same time. “You owe me $50!” Yoona yelled at Yuri after she figured it out. While Sooyoung and Seohyun just sat there confused and silent. After Yuri handed Yoona a $50 bill, Aaron started asking Hyoyeon about the past. Once Hyoyeon was done explaining, the room fell silent once again. “So if you are the famous nerd, then that means we have to, no, we must get you and Onyx together.” Hyoyeon was about to protest, when Youngji started to talk. “That would be so perfect. Onyx could finally get the ray of happiness that she deserves and Hyoyeon could get with her long time crush!” Youngji happily exclaimed as Aaron and she started to make plans. But before both of them could get to out of hand, Yoona calmed them down, “What if they don’t want to be together?” “Do you want to be with her?” Sooyoung asked. “No.” Hyoyeon weakly responded but the blush on her check betrayed her. “Of course you do, and I know Onyx like the back of my hand, and she totally wants to be with you.” Aaron answered for Onyx. “So what is the problem?” Seohyun questioned. “We can’t force her to be in a relationship with me. This is not some chick-flick were I get the happy ending.” Hyoyeon reasoned. “Of course it isn’t. This is life, and those were real facts. Now do you want us to help you to get Onyx to ask you out? That’s all that we ask for, one date.” Aaron countered with. All the girls agreed with Aaron and looked at Hyoyeon for her answer. “Fine.” After a few cheers of glee, Aaron sent a quick text to Onyx telling her that the girls were on board. Then they all started to plan for Plan HyOnyx (Aaron choose the name, but if you can think of a better one and wouldn’t mind me using it, feel free to let me know.), and a quick chorography to show the artist.
After a few hours of creating and planning a new chorography, the girls were done for the day. Youngji and Seohyun were resting on the only couch in the room so the four girls spread out on the floor relaxing. They barely had a few minutes to catch their breath when Aaron waltzed into the room with six bottled waters. “Okay girls I have good news and great news what do y’all want first?” Aaron asked as he handed out the water. “Good.” Yoona answered. “Okay, so I was talking to Onyx and she showed her friend some of y’all’s stuff and she liked y’all. So save this chorography for another audition. Part two of those news, her friend said that you guys could do your own chorography for the music video. Something along the lines of giving you guys some freedom, but she just wants to look cool in front of Onyx.” They cheered but let Aaron continue on with the great news. “You guys are going to go to Japan to film. Meaning that in two weeks you guys will fly over there and film. But she will be coming back with Onyx to meet you in person as well as giving y’all a copy of the song.” The girls were excited for the trip, a little bummed that they created the dance for nothing, but excited none the less. Once they calmed down, Youngji gave Aaron a list of ways to get Onyx to ask Hyoyeon out. “Girl! We think so a much alike. I also have my list!” Aaron hurriedly grabbed his list from the folder he was holding and showed it to Youngji. As the rest of the girls huddled close to look at the ideas, Hyoyeon just sat on the couch and giggled at her friends. “I can’t believe you guys.” Of course, she was ignored; they were just too busy discussing her love life. They stayed in the practice room for while talking dating plans, when Seohyun called it a night and left with Youngji sleepy agreeing. Aaron agreed and said his farewells, and left. The rest of them cleaned up their mess and locked up before they also went home. “If this works out, I’m happy for you.” Yuri quietly told Hyoyeon as she gave her a small hug; Hyoyeon smiled and thanked her for everything. “You better thank all of us girl. We helped to.” Sooyoung butted in with a pout. Hyoyeon just laughed and hugged Sooyoung and Yoona as well. “I will thank you guys after we see Onyx.”
