Chae's POV 

I feel helpless. I can't do anything to make Dara feel better. Her cries break my heart. I want to do something. I want her to feel that I'm willing to carry her burden too, so I kissed her. I kissed her as if I wanted to feel her agony too. I kissed her to make her feel that I'm with her. It was the most impulsive move I've done in my entire life. 

My lips were trembling. My hands were shaking. I don't know how long we're kissing. I don't even care. I was so nervous. Nervous that she might pull away from me. But she kissed me back, that's all that matters to me right now. And she's not drunk enough to not realize that I am the one she's kissing. I felt her hands on my bare waist. A chill ran down my spine. I kept my eyes closed. Afraid that she might push me away any second.

But instead, she pulled me closer, and kissed me harder. Then I tasted something salty--her tears running down to her chin. I gathered my strength to open my eyes and look at her. I broke the kiss. We needed a break for air.

"Shhh. Stop crying." I said as I touched her lips with my thumb. When I was about to kiss her again, I heard voices coming closer to the door. "Let's get out of here." I held her hand then we walked out of the comfort room.

Dara remained quiet as we drove away from the club. 

"Do you want to go home?" I asked after few minutes of driving. She shook her head without looking at me. She stopped crying, but she looks really hurt and down.

"So where do you wanna go?" I asked. She took a deep breath while closing her eyes. "Beach." She finally said. 

"Okay." I said even though I found it weird to go to the beach at this hour. I brought her to the same beach we visited almost a week ago. There are no other people around the beach except us and some caretakers. Dara got out from the car first. I followed her. I saw her looked at her feet then sighed. I know what she meant. I went in the back of the car and took the pairs of slippers we used the last time. I didn't remove those from the car's trunk because I just didn't want to. 

"Here. Put these on." I said while handing the flip flops to her. She took it while attempting a smile. "Thanks, Chae." She said in a very low voice. She started taking off her heels so I decided to change into slippers too. She waited for me to finish. 

What is she thinking now? What are her thoughts about the kiss... about me? She didn't push me away. She even kissed me back. But she hasn't talked to me about it. What is happening? Does she feel the same way about me?

I'm watching her walking around the beach and picking some pebbles and shells. I just let her do what she wants because things like that can already make her happy. Sometimes, I wonder if she's really a 28 year old woman or an 8 year old girl. I started to feel so cold because of the sea breeze, not to mention I'm wearing a bralet which shows my bare waist, but I don't mind as long as I'm with her. 

"Chae." She called me. "Come here." She motioned me to sit beside her on a rock bench. I followed her. Besides I'm already freezing. "Sorry for the trouble and hassle I have caused you tonight." She said as soon as I sat beside her. 

"No worries. I don't mind." I replied. I don't mind at all. She didn't answer back. She just rested her head on my shoulder again while closing her eyes just like the last time.
