That Same Saturday Night
Thursday NightsJaejoong had forgotten that his mistress was going to come tonight. It was his company’s party and she did work there too, but he had forgotten. Having Soo Yun in his arms, laughing and talking actively, he, for a second, thought the past month had been a dream. A dream good or bad, he didn’t know, but a dream either way. It felt almost nice. Until she arrived.
It was like the darker side of Jaejoong had taken over and he became this man his good side couldn’t fight back. His palm started sweating and in that instance, he slightly moved away from Soo Yun. She tensed in his arms, and even though it didn’t look that way to the others, he felt it and a part of his heart throbbed. He promised himself, then and there, he wouldn’t leave her tonight. He wouldn’t neglect her. And then she stepped out of his embrace. Breaking all contact.
“Hungry, gonna grab something quick,” she said.
“Okay,” he breathed out. It was like he couldn’t deny anything she said anymore. “Hurry back.” He meant it. But the quick blink before the smile, told him, she wasn’t going to hurry any time soon. He stared at the back of her in all white as she walked away. It was if his bride was leaving the altar without even saying “I do”.
The minute he saw Soo Yun reach her destination, someone else had reach theirs too. “Hey, boss.” He knew that seductive voice and that giggle. Soo Yun never giggled much, unless drunk, and he noticed that he was definitely okay with that. Hearing giggles all the time were sort of annoying. Jaejoong quickly flashed the woman in red a smile and turned away. It felt wrong to talk to her, felt wrong to stare at her too long. It felt like those moments were reserved for only Thursday nights. He looked to see if his wife was still there where he last saw her. She was. And someone was eyeing her, some guy in gray. Rage filled him up.
“Why are you jealous, you’ve done worse. Why does it matter if she wants to hang out with that man on her Thursday nights?” his conscience whispered and he clenched his fists. Because his damn conscience was right, and wow, he felt like an . Why in the world did he ever agree to Soo Yun making this marriage an open one? His dark side had jumped at her opportunity and said yes for himself. He had asked himself day and night why he agreed with her and it wasn’t until then, right in that room, that it hit him. He was a man, and a damn human being. They’ve got urges and flaws. When Jaejoong got promoted to CEO, his life got rough and even though Soo Yun understood and tried the best she can
