Back to Reality!

Ah, detention. T’was a glorious place indeed.

Okay, it really wasn’t, but it didn’t really put Chen in bad spirits either way. Admitidly, he did deserve to be there, but at the same time, he really, really didn’t. Not that the Head Master would listen to reason, being the homophobic arsehole he was.

They joys of having ing twats in authoritative positions.

The reason he happened to land this particular detention, was because he may, or may not, have punched a douche bag in the middle of his Music class, because he was picking on Baekhyun. And although Baekhyun could hold his own, this douche made a low- comment and Chen could see Baekhyun was about to cry, so took it upon himself to punch the dickwad right in his fugly face.

Which, brought him to where he was now.

He was sat in Suho’s classroom with his feet up on the desk and his arms folded, smirking slightly as the teacher gave him a look that read ‘I’m-so-damn-close-to-killing-you-right-now-Jongdae’.

“Can you please get your feet off of the table” Suho finally let out with a sigh.

Chen laughed, but complied to the teacher’s request, “So, sir” he said after, propping his elbows on the table and his chin in his hands.

“Oh god, what now?” Suho groaned, placing his work aside, knowing full well with Chen there, he wouldn’t be getting anything done.

Chen grinned again before chuckling and shooting Suho a genuine smile, “I just wanted to talk to you about something...” he said, “Well, about Xing...”

“Jongdae...”

“Chen” Chen corrected easily, “And I know what you’re going to say, but seriously, there’s nobody here, and there’s nobody besides me that knows about it, and I’m never going to spill. You need to trust me. Yixing does”

Suho ran a weary hand over his face and sighed, “It’s just... you finding out was one thing, but it’s other people I’m worried about. I can’t stand the thought of him getting hurt, Chen”

“I know” Chen nodded, “And I’m sure it must be hard. Xing’s a good guy, he’s the best friend I’ve ever had and one of the nicest people I know, but you gotta give me some credit here, man. This is hard enough as it is with you two having to act like you don’t give a about each other when people are around, but at least you can relax when I’m around, and that’s something right?”

Suho paused for a second, before mimicking how Chen was sat, resting his chin in his hands, “It’s just hard. And I shouldn’t even be talking to you about it, because you’re my student, and I know... I know he is too, and I know how ed up this whole thing is, believe me... I just... I don’t know what’s going to happen, and that scares me, because I just love him so goddamn much” he let out a shaky breath, “I don’t even know what I’d do if the wrong person were to find out...”

Chen hummed softly.

He wasn’t sure what he thought would happen when he tried to get the older boy to talk about the whole thing. Honestly, he was inclined to believe that he would be brushed off and perhaps ignored.

He was happy, that Suho was opening up to him. But he was sad to see how much of a struggle it was for the two of them – Lay and Suho.

He couldn’t even begin to imagine what it must be like to have to hide your relationship from the world. To not show people how much you loved the person you did. If he’d have had to keep his relationship from the world – by force and not choice – he knew he would have cracked. The way he looked at Xiumin was enough to show everyone how much he loved the boy.

He could see it when Lay and Suho looked at one another, too, but he also saw how well they hid it. In the moments it came out, it would only last a second or two, before the composed mask would be back in place and there was a forced indifference between them, so not to clue anyone in.

It was sad, to see them both so crazy about each other, but have to hide it all the time, bar when they were alone.

“He told me you went away last weekend” Chen said softly, “I’ve never seen him look so happy in my life”

Suho smiled fondly, “Yeah, it was good there” he said, “Just the two of us. We didn’t have to hide or anything like that...”

“You totally banged” Chen muttered under his breath, taking his arms off the table and leaning back in his chair.

“What?”

“Nothing” Chen smirked, before his face fell into a soft smile again, “But anyway, just think, it’ll be like that again soon enough. It’s not long until Xing’s completely done with school, and’ll be off to college and you won’t have to hide anymore. I mean, okay, maybe for a bit, so that you can come up with a story, like ‘oh we met in the street and went for coffee and things just fell into place’ and all that , but you’ve just got to hold out a little longer. And if you love Xing like I think you do, then I’ll be worth everything you guys have to put up with right now”

Suho nodded, folding his arms on the desk as he did, “He is worth it. He’s worth every damn moment of it.”

“I’m glad to hear that” Chen smiled, “Because he never shuts up about you, you know”

Suho couldn’t help but smile at that, “Is that so?” he asked

“Mm” Chen chuckled, “He’s so into you it’s almost sickening. I mean, there’s only so much ‘Dae, he’s so great. Honestly, I just don’t even know how I’m so lucky to have him’ I can take, you know”

“He really says that?” Suho grinned, then chuckled, “He’s cute”

Chen rolled his eyes, “Oh don’t you start as well, it’s bad enough from just one of you. If I have to hear about how amazing he is from you, I think I’ll go shove my head in a toilet or something”

“I’d like to see that” Suho smirked.

Chen gasped in mock offence, “Rude!” he let out, making the older male laugh.

“Shut up” Suho said, “You’re meant to be reflecting by the way, not having fun annoying me”

The younger boy shrugged, “I’m not going to be sorry for what I did” he said, “And hey, does this mean we’re friends now, since you’re like, banging my best mate, an’ all?”

“Oh my god! Can you not be so crude?” Suho scrunched his nose up in distaste, “No, it does not mean we’re friends” he rolled his eyes, “And why aren’t you going to be sorry? You punched someone... that’s not exactly nice”

Chen smiled, “Oh we’ll be friends one day, you’ll see. Besides, it’s not like the s that much. You’re like the youngest teacher at this hole of a school, and Xing’s one of the eldest pupils or whatever.” He said, “And I’m not sorry because he was a . He was picking on Baekhyun for being gay, and I wasn’t having it. Baek was almost in tears because of the , and I don’t do well with people hurting my friends” he said seriously, “He deserved what I gave him, and more”

Suho paused, looking over Chen contemplatively before he finally spoke, “You don’t deserve to be in detention” he said, “But let me guess, you were sent to the Head Master?” in a rather bitter tone.

“How’d you know?” Chen asked, genuinely curious about the tone in which Suho had spoken.

Suho sighed, “He’s a homophobic bastard, unlike a fair few of the teachers, so it only made sense” he said, “But really, I’m glad you stuck up for your friend. You’re a good person, Chen”

“Thanks” the aforementioned boy smiled, “you’re not so bad yourself. I mean, if you ignore the fact that I basically never see my best friend anymore because you like stole him from me and now he’s always off gallivanting around with you, tsk”

Suho couldn’t help but laugh, “Oh come on, I am not going to sit here, and argue with you, about who gets to see him more...”

“He’s my best friend, I need to see him!” Chen said anyway, ignoring the teacher as per usual.

“He’s my boyfriend” Suho pointed out, “I’m pretty sure I win”

Chen rolled his eyes, “Well la-de-dah, look at you, you have a boyfriend, woop-te-doo! How amazing! I mean, gosh, who would have though?! It’s incredible”

“Are you quite finished?” Suho shook his head in amusement, “You’re seriously insufferable, d’you know that?”

“My friends tell me that a lot,” said Chen, “Looks like you’ve joined in... You know what this means, right?”

The teacher almost groaned out of sheer frustration, “Chen, we are not friends!” he said, “I’m your teacher, that’s it”

“We’re totally friends” Chen persisted, with an annoying little smirk on his face.

“No”

“We are”

“We’re not”

“Yes we are”

“No”

“Yes”

“No”

“Yes”

“No”

“Yes”

Suho let out a cry of annoyance, “If I just agree to this will you shut up?”

“Of course” Chen said, a -eating grin plastered on his face.

Suho was pretty proud of himself for not having killed the boy, in all honesty, “Fine, we’re friends” he said with a defeated sigh.

“Well it’s nice to see you boys getting along”

Chen and Suho both looked around at the sound of the amused voice that had spoken. Their eyes finally settled on Lay, who was stood in the doorway, his arms folded across his chest as he leant against the doorframe, a smirk on his face.

Chen laughed, whilst Suho rolled his eyes.

Lay couldn’t help but chuckle as he sauntered into the room, letting the door close behind him. He walked over to Suho’s desk, and plopped himself on top of it. He was facing Suho, his legs swinging by the teacher’s side, but twisted slightly so he could see Chen too.

“It’s getting late you know. Everyone’s pretty much gone home, it’s only Hyoyeon left now” Lay said, his voice all too entertained.

Chen raised a brow, “Who’s Hyoyeon?” he asked.

“Receptionist” Lay smiled, though more at the fact he could feel Suho’s hand creeping up his leg, where Chen couldn’t see, than at the boy he was looking at.

“And why, might I ask, are the two of you on a first name basis?” Suho asked, raising a brow at Lay, who turned back to him with a smirk.

“Why?” Lay asked, his eyes glancing to where Suho’s hand was now resting on his thigh, “Jealous?”

Suho grinned, “You wish” he said, “Now answer the question”

“Jealous” Lay laughed, “And because I help her out sometimes after school with filing, so we got to know each other a little bit”

Chen laughed at that, “Gees, Lay, do you make it a thing to get to know all the staff on a personal level, or what?”

Lay shot a glare at Chen, “ off” he said, “Dickwad” but Chen only laughed harder.

“I’m just saying” Chen grinned.

Suho rolled his eyes at the two of them, “You know, you two really ought to be going. I have work to do”

“Way to try and get rid of me” Lay pouted, making Suho smile.

“It’s more that I want the other one out of my classroom, not you, cutie” Suho said, taking Lay’s collar with the hand that wasn’t on the boy’s leg, and pulling him down to the same level as his face, “I do need to work though”

Lay smiled, “Okay” he said, “We’ll leave you to it”

“Okay” Suho said softly, before pulling Lay into a quick, but love-filled kiss.

Once they pulled back from one another, Lay hopped down off the desk and gestured for Chen to follow him, “Bye, Sir” Chen called as the two of them made their way out.

“Bye” Suho chuckled back.

--

Hand in hand, Chen and Lay walked down the street that lead to the latter’s house.

“You know,” said Lay after a while, “I heard the two of you talking”

Chen hummed softly, “Oh?”

Lay smiled and gave Chen’s hand a soft squeeze, “I thought you didn’t like the idea of me and him?” he asked, “You said before that you found it weird”

“Well,” Chen said, “At the end of the day, Xing, I love you, and I just want what’s best for you. I’ve been watching, and I can tell he’s not pissing about when it comes to you, so really, I have nothing to not like. He’s a stand up guy and he makes you happy, so that’s all that matters” he gave Lay’s hand a squeeze back, before wrapping his arm around the older boy’s shoulder, not letting go of his hand as he did, leading to Lay having to rest his hand across his own chest.

The older boy gave Chen a soft smile and leant into him, “I love you too, you know. and I’m glad that you and Min are okay again”

“Yeah” Chen said, “me too”

They reached Lay’s house not long after that. Since it was still pretty early, his parents weren’t home. They both had pretty demanding jobs, and although they tried to be there as much as they could, sometimes they couldn’t help but stay and work late.

Chen’s hand let go of Lay’s and moved to rest idly on the boy’s waist as Lay fished through his back and came up with the keys to the front door.

He opened it, with Chen’s hand still lingering on him, not that he minded, it was a common occurrence with them. Chen was just a naturally touchy person. Lay had a theory about that – not that he’d ever express that to the other.

His theory was that Chen was sometimes a little insecure. He did things to make people laugh, and often took a backseat when it came to letting people care about him. He liked to touch people, to remind not only them, but himself that he was still there. Chen’s habit had started before Lay could even remember.

At first, it was only Lay that Chen ever clung to, but slowly, he opened up a little and started to get a little closer to the others – though Lay was still the one who got the most of Chen’s hands, bar Xiumin.

Lay had seen it a lot there. When Chen was with Xiumin, it didn’t matter if they were kissing, or just standing next to each other, they were always touching, thanks to Chen – though Xiumin seemed not to mind at all.

Chen would either make sure they were pressed against each other, or their hands were joint, or he had an arm around the elder, just so long as they were touching somehow. It made Lay smile whenever he saw that. He really was happy that they’d found love in one another.

So, it only made sense to him that Chen needed to feel loved, to feel needed, and by people not pushing him away when he clung to them, he got that reassurance. Not that he’d ever admit he needed it, of course, which is one of the many reasons he’d never asked the younger boy about it.

“Can I eat here?” Chen asked, snapping Lay from his reverie.

Somehow they’d ended up in the kitchen – it made sense, Lay thought, since it was around dinner time – and Lay was stood facing the counter top, whilst Chen was stood behind him, back-hugging him with his chin perched on the older boy’s shoulder.

Lay chuckled a little, “Do you even need to ask?” he said, turning his head slightly so that he could look at the other boys face.

“It’s polite” Chen said with a shrug of his shoulders, “And can I just sleep here tonight? I’m tired, and I’m pretty sure my mum knows I was fighting today, and I just... I just wanna stay here tonight” he said.

A frown made it’s way to Lay’s face. He gently pried the younger’s hands from his waist and turned to face him, “What’s wrong?” he asked, “You were fine five minutes ago”

“It’s called acting” Chen pointed out, then sighed, “But I am fine. I am”

“Bull” Lay shot back, lifting his hands and placing them on each side of Chen’s neck, his thumbs behind Chen’s ears soothingly, “So what’s wrong?”

Chen shrugged, “I just... Annoyed at my dad” he said quietly, “He said that I’ve got my grades up, so I can stay and stuff, but he’s got his heart set on me going to America for college, but I just don’t want to, you know? I want to stay here, and not just because of Min, or even you, I want to stay before I already know where I wanna go and what I want to do, but I don’t want to disappoint my dad, so I don’t know what to do”

“Oh, Jongdae” Lay let out softly, he pulled forward a little to rest his forehead against the others, and felt Chen wrap his arms around his middle in a loose hug, “You don’t have to do things for him. Okay, he’s your dad and you wanna make him proud, but you have to do things for yourself sometimes. If you don’t want to go to a foreign country, then you don’t have to. That’s a lot to ask of someone”

Chen shrugged again, “You did it” he pointed out, “And Luhan, Kris and Tao”

“That’s different” Lay said, his voice gentle and warm, “We came with family, to start a new life over here, but this’ll be on your own, in a place where you don’t know the language”

Chen smiled, “I know some English” he said.

“Don’t kid yourself” Lay laughed, “Knowing how to say ‘Hello, I’m Jongdae’ isn’t going to get you very far”

The younger boy laughed too, “Fair point” he said, “I just...  You know”

“Yeah, I know” Lay smiled, pulling back slightly, “How about some dinner, then I’ll call your mum, let her know you’re staying here. I’ll let you borrow some of my stuff, and since it’s the weekend tomorrow, we’re all set”

They cooked together and ate at the table before Lay gave Chen’s mum a quick call to let her know her son was safe. Then the two of them went upstairs to wash, brush their teeth – Chen had a spare toothbrush there – and change. They climbed into Lay’s bed after the older boy flicked on the TV and put on a movie – which just so happened to be American Pie.

“Did you get that text from Sehun today?” Chen asked as they watched Jim make a fool of himself.

Lay hummed, “The one about the party?” he asked.

“Yeah. You gonna go?”

“Obviously” Lay laughed.

Chen frowned a little, “But there’s gonna be booze and stuff”

“I can handle my alcohol” Lay frowned, “If that’s what you’re worried about”

Chen laughed a little, “Right, and I’m the Queen of England”

A pout formed on Lay’s face, thought he snuggled more into Chen’s side, “You’re like the worst best friend ever, just so you know”

“Am I though?”

“Yes”

“Really?”

“Yes”

“Xing-ah~ I love you~”

“Stop that, you’re horrible”

“But I love you”

“No”

“XingXing” Chen let out cutely, “Forgive me”

Lay huffed, “Stupid”

“You know you love me really”

“Fine, okay, just shut up”

“Say it”

“...”

“Come on~ Say it!”

“I love you” Lay sighed, “Now shut up and let me sleep on you”

Chen let out a tinkling laugh, “Fine by me” he said, and pulled Lay closer, letting the boy cuddle him and fall asleep whilst he watched the rest of the movie.

Lay’s mum came up as the credits began to roll. She popped her head in the door and smiled when she saw Lay in Chen’s protective arms.

“Oh, Mrs Zhang” Chen whispered, “Did you just get home? Are you not tired? Did you eat yet? You should eat and then get some sleep”

Lay’s mum laughed softly, “I ate, don’t worry. I just came up to check on Yixing, but I can see he’s in good hands” she smiled, “Would you like me to turn off the TV?”

“Please, if you don’t mind” Chen smiled, “And he’s in good hands indeed, Ma’am”

Lay’s mum chuckled again, “How many times, call me Mama” she said, “You’re family” and turned off the TV, sending the room into darkness.

“Thank you” Chen said, lying down properly and pulling the sleeping Lay closer to him as he got comfortable.

Lay’s mum paused at the door, “Jongdae-ah” she said softly, “Are you... Are you and my Xing... Are you a couple?” she said gently.

Chen smiled, “No,” he said, “We’re just friends. I’m dating someone else. We love each other, just not in that way” he smiled fondly.

“Ah, okay, sorry if I seemed a little rude. It’s just... I like that you keep each other happy” Mrs Zhang said with a smile playing about her lips, “Thank you for looking after my boy all these years, Dae-ah”

Chen smiled through the darkness at the lady, “It’s been my pleasure.... Mama”

--

Baekhyun frowned at the girl in front of him. Girls were not his forte. He had a lot of friends that were girls, and he’d even had a girlfriend when he was in nursery, but he doubted that counted. But when a girl was stood in front of him, and flirting with him, he really was at a loss of what to do.

“So, what’s your name, cutie?” the girl – who was still trying despite how much he clearly didn’t want to talk – asked.

Baekhyun sighed, “It’s Byun Baekhyun” he said, fidgeting uncomfortably.

He was meant to be out getting groceries for his mum, since his aunt was coming over to visit the next day, and he honestly, could not think of a way to get this girl to just leave him alone.

“That’s a handsome name” the girl said, “I’m Taeyeon”

Baekhyun nodded, “Okay” he said, not really sure what else he could say.

Taeyeon sighed, but smiled anyway as she asked, “So what college do you go?”

“Um, I’m still in highschool” Baekhyun said awkwardly, though finding it kind of amusing when he saw the girl’s smile fall in realisation.

“Oh” she said, “B-But you’re in your last year, right?” and when Baekhyun nodded she grinned again, “I know this might be a bit forward, but can I have your number?”

Baekhyun blinked in shock, yeah, it was a bit forward... “Um, I think you’ve got the wrong end of the stick” he said, “I’m already seeing someone”

“Is it serious?” Taeyeon pushed, taking a step forward and practically pressing herself against Baekhyun, who tried to take a step back, only to find his path blocked by a rack of cereal.

Baekhyun coughed uncomfortably, “Yes, it is. He and I have been together for a long time now”

“He?” Taeyeon frowned, “Don’t you mean She?”

“No I mean h-”

“Baek!” A familiar deep voice called out, cutting him off. He was almost so relieved he could cry.

Baekhyun gently pushed past Taeyeon, she was a girl at the end of the day and he wasn’t about to be aggressive with her, “Yeol!” he called back, walking over to the tall boy and practically falling into his arms, “What are you doing here?” he asked.

“I’m here with my mum. She needed help shopping, and my sister’s out, so I was the next choice” Chanyeol chuckled, then he noticed Taeyeon staring at the two of them, “Uh, can I help you?” he addressed her.

Remembering she was there, Baekhyun turned to look at her, trying his best to smile, but it only came across as an awkward grimace.

“Baekhyun-ah?” Taeyeon said, “Who’s this?”

Baekhyun sighed, “I told you I was dating someone.” He pointed out, not liking how she was calling him so casually after they’d met all of ten minutes ago, “This is my boyfriend”

“I thought you were kidding” Taeyeon’s eyes widened as she looked between the two of them, “I don’t get it...”

“Get what?” Baekhyun asked in confusion, as Chanyeol back hugged him rather possessively.

Taeyeon glared slightly at the taller boy as he did, “I don’t get why you’re choosing to be.... you know, like that, when you could just be normal and give me your number”

“Hey!” Chanyeol piped up before Baekhyun could respond, “Don’t you talk to him like that! Why does liking men make him abnormal? If anyone’s not normal here it’s you, for being a judgemental git when you know nothing about him. Didn’t your parents ever teach you manners? And more to the point, why keep hitting on him when he already told you he’s seeing someone, huh?”

Taeyeon open and closed a couple of times before sighing, “I... I didn’t mean... I just...” she managed to get out.

“I think you should just go” Chanyeol said firmly.

Taeyeon nodded, “Yeah... I... Sorry Baekhyun-ssi” she gave them a small, apologetic bow before taking her leave.

Once they were alone – or as alone as you could get when in a supermarket – Baekhyun turned in Chanyeol’s arms to face him, “So, that happened” he said.

“Mm” Chanyeol’s brows were furrowed and there was a frown on his lips, “I don’t like her”

“You don’t know her” Baekhyun pointed out with a soft laugh.

Chanyeol shrugged, “She was rude” he said, “She should have just left you alone when you told her you were seeing someone”

“True” Baekhyun nodded, “But at least she had the decency to look guilty when she left”

“She still tried it on with you” Chanyeol’s voice was deep, almost a growl.

Baekhyun smirked a little, “Were you jealous?”

“No” Chanyeol said, “Because you’re mine” and with that, he leant down and took Baekhyun’s lips with his own.

Baekhyun smiled against Chanyeol’s lips before he kissed him back, his hands the material of Chanyeol’s shirt, whilst Chanyeol gripped his hips firmly, tightly, though not enough for it to hurt.

Chanyeol was about to slip his tongue between Baekhyun’s lips when;

“Chanyeol?” a voice called out, “Chanyeol, where the hell did you get t- Oh, hello Baekhyun-ah”

It was Chanyeol’s mum. She shot them a wide smile – it was clearly she, who Chanyeol got his smile from – as they broke apart and faced her, Chanyeol looking embarrassed, whilst Baekhyun looked positively gleeful.

“Hey Mrs Park!” Baekhyun said, giving her a polite little bow, but she only smacked him on the shoulder playfully.

“Baek, I’ve known you for years, when are you going to stop bowing when you see me?” Mrs Park asked, clearly amused at the boy.

Baekhyun grinned, “Never” he said, “I hear you’ve got Channie helping out with the shopping”

“I need to keep him busy” Mrs Park laughed, “What are you up to, Baek-ah?”

Baekhyun smiled, “I’m shopping for my mum. My auntie is coming over tomorrow, so we need to stock up, but someone started hitting on me, so I haven’t even started”

“Someone hit on you?” Mrs Park laughed, “Oh my, they’re lucky I didn’t see them trying to mess with my future son-in-law!”

“Mum!” Chanyeol whined, making the other two laugh.

“Oh hush, Chanyeol” Mrs Park laughed before turning back to Baekhyun, “Have you got a list?”

Baekhyun nodded, pulling the piece of paper out of his pocket, his mother’s handwriting on it in telling him what they needed.

“Well, come on, you can come round with me and Chanyeol. We’ll help you out, won’t we Channie?” Mrs Park smiled brightly.

With that, the three of them grabbed a trolley and began to make their way around the supermarket, making sure to keep Baekhyun’s things at the front of the trolley and Mrs Park’s at the back.

It was funny, with the three of them going around, sharing jokes, and for the majority of the time, teasing Chanyeol, who in turn would pout, until Baekhyun kissed it away, making Mrs Park coo about how much she loved her future son-in-law, making the two boys blush.

Once they’d finished with all their shopping needs, they made their way to the checkout and paid for their respective things.

“Baekhyunnie, did you walk here?” Mrs Park asked as they exited the supermarket.

Baekhyun nodded, “Yeah” he said, his hands full with plastic bags, that were starting to turn his fingers red already.

“We’ll give you a lift home” she said, not giving him a choice, “Since we have the car with us.”

Baekhyun smiled, “Ah thank you” he said sweetly, as Chanyeol took a couple of his bags off of him and helped him carry them to the car, where, along with Mrs Park’s things, they put them in the boot.

Baekhyun smiled as he climbed into the back seat, behind Mrs Park. He was expecting Chanyeol to sit in the front, so was pleasantly surprised when the slightly younger boy climbed into the seat next to him and took his hand.

Mrs Park started to drive once everyone had their belts on. Chanyeol leant in to rest his head on Baekhyun’s shoulder.

“I ran into Jackson Wang today” he said quietly.

Baekhyun hummed, “Yeah?”

“Yeah, he said that Sehun’s invited his lot to the party too, along with a few others” Chanyeol said, “I think it’s gonna be a good night”

Baekhyun grinned, “Oh this is perfect, I can ask him what’s happening with him and Mark”

“What? I thought they were just friends?” Chanyeol asked.

Baekhyun didn’t mean to, but he scoffed, “Puh-lease” he said, “If they’re friends then Kyungsoo’s a bloody angel. Those two want each other so bad it almost makes me want to cry”

“Oh. Well, that’s... something” Chanyeol laughed, “You know, now I think about it, you’re right. I mean, Jacks is always kissing Mark on the cheek, and hugging him and stuff, and Mark’s like, super clingy with Jackson, he’s not like that with the others... Huh... Maybe you’re right”

“I’m always right” Baekhyun smirked as Mrs Park pulled up outside of his house. He climbed out of the car, and smiled at the older lady, “Thank you for the lift, Mrs Park”

Mrs Park shot him a grin, “Don’t mention it, Baekhyunnie”

“Ma’, I’m gonna hang out here for a bit. I’ll be home later, yeah?” Chanyeol said, climbing out of the car too, and opening the boot.

“Sure” Mrs Park smiled, then waited until the two of them had gotten all of Baekhyun’s bags and closed the boot before calling ‘Goodbye’ and heading off, leaving the boys alone.

“Jackson is really handsome, though, I can see why Mark likes him” Baekhyun said as they walked up the path to the front door.

Chanyeol huffed, “He’s not that handsome” he said, “Mark’s really cute though, so it makes sense that Jackson would want him”

“Oh so I’m not allowed to call Jackson handsome, but you’re allowed to call Mark cute?” Baekhyun shot back, thoroughly amused at Chanyeol’s jealousy.

Chanyeol shrugged as he and Baekhyun set down the bags on the table in front of Baekhyun’s mum.

“Ah Chanyeol, it’s nice to see you, kiddo” Mrs Byun said, walking over to them and checking through the bags, before holding her hand out to Baekhyun, who handed her the change, “I’m missing some”

“I got myself a drink” Baekhyun grinned cheekily, “Thanks mum”

Mrs Byun rolled her eyes, “Whatever, just go upstairs and play. I call you down for dinner”

Chanyeol chuckled as he followed Baekhyun up to his room.

“Speaking of cute, though” Baekhyun said as the entered his room, “BamBam is adorable. Like, can I just adopt the kid?”

Chanyeol laughed, “Yeah, he is really cute. If I didn’t know any better, I’d have sworn he was the youngest out of their little gang”

“I know! I can’t get over the fact that Yugyeom is only sixteen!” Baekhyun nodded, “it’s crazy”

Chanyeol hummed, “You know, now I think about it, we’ve never partied with them before”

“That’s true” Baekhyun said thoughtfully, “Well, I think Sehun only made friends with Youngjae this year, so... It kinda makes sense”

“Yeah, but we’ve known Jacks and Jaebum for ages”

“Shut up with your logic”

“I’m just saying”

“Well stop just saying”

“You’re impossible”

“BamBam’s cuter than you” Baekhyun shot back.

Chanyeol rolled his eyes, “You don’t mean that, so I’m going to let you off for being an ”

Baekhyun shrugged, “Whatever, but speaking of him, we better keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn’t drink too much. I’m not getting in trouble for letting him get wasted when he’s under age. Same with Yugyeom”

“Good point”

Baekhyun nodded, “Ah ”

“What?”

“I really wanna watch The Flintstones now...”

“...”

“You wanna watch it?”

Chanyeol grinned, “I yabadabadooooooo~” he laughed, earning himself a smack from Baekhyun.

Chapter 4: Oh yeah confessed but left out the part you got hard by your friend's lip biting, Jongdae. Seriously just want to punch him in this story and take Minseok away. I don't even feel bad for him or whatsoever. Can't even feel his sincerity when he says hurting him is the last thing he wants. My marshmallow doesn't deserve this :[

Chapter 3: God Jongdae getting a hard on from lay just by biting his lip was disgusting and weird. Who gets a hard on by just that? Well you do if you're in love with said person. It seems to me that Jongdae still loves Lay. And it's so unfair for Minseok. And Minseok will probably forgive him because he's that much of a er for him. Jongdae and Lay's relationship is too much for a friendship and I can't believe Minseok is not bothered by it one bit. Jongdae seems more in love with Lay than he is with Minseok here and it just bothers me so much. It's like Minseok is a thirdwheel to him. But when Minseok held kris' hand on the previous story Jongdae got all bat crazy that he might steal him. The way xiuchen was written here is so frustrating. It's frustrating me ahhhhhhhhhhhhh I hope Minseok just ends it with Jongdae and doesn't get back with him until Jongdae sorts out his priorities and who he actually loves. And plus he thinks Lay is cuter than Minseok, we got some serious problem here.

Chapter 4: Lowkey annoys me that Minseok seeked out comfort to Lay. Of all people. I know. No fault and all that stuff. Still. Annoys me a bit hehe

I'm really enjoying this story and I love the beach pic where you camped back in 2012!!! Reminds me of Kynance cove in Cornwall so I can see how it can be an inspiration for a setting.
