Hey guys! i’m writing a Krisber Story for my Creative Writing Class and figured I’d share a snippet with you guys! It’s not much and it’s not edited yet but if you guys like it/are intrigued by it. I’ll post the finished product here and on my tumblr blog. 

P.S i did have to slightly alter Amber’s personality but just for the beginning..which is where this is from ^^;;

Large crowds of people lined the streets of the small port town as the sailors walked through their welcoming parade. They all looked so serious and strong that Amber had been too scared to hand a flower to the passing sailors as the other girls had been. If it wasn’t for her elder sister Victoria she probably would’ve kept the flower, but her sister had all but stuck her hand out for her just in time for a tall sailor to take it from her.

His hair was short but she could still make out the blonde locks from underneath his hat that let her know he wasn’t just any sailor but a Petty Officer. The whole exchange had only taken a matter of seconds but she felt his fingers graze her own as she handed him the flower. She could still remember his intense brown eyes that had been so cold at first but had softened for a fraction of a second while he moved to tuck the white carnation into his uniform pocket.

Her sister and her friends had excitedly shaken her, all of them taking turns proclaiming how jealous they were that such a handsome sailor had taken her flower. Suzy, her best friend had sighed deeply and pressed a hand to her chest. “He even looked back at you Am! If you don’t end up married I’m suing every romance author for false hope!”

Amber couldn’t even scold her for being such a hopeless romantic like she usually would. She was far too busy scolding herself for not noticing his backwards glance.
