“Eunji ya~ Eunji ya~” Eunji’s mom came running through the door

“Wae omma? Did something happen?” Eunji answered from the kitchen

“I have told you about my childhood friend, Sunghwa before, haven’t I? Do you remember?”

“Un omma, the one you got into mischief with you when you were small! Didn’t you lose contact with her?  What about her?”

“I ran into her today!”

“Jincha? No wonder you are so excited” Eunji smiled knowingly. It was good to see her mom being this happy

“AND she recently moved into this neighborhood! That’s why I invited her family over to dinner this weekend.. It would be great if our families got on well~” Eunji’s mom continued excitedly

“I’m sure we will get on well, omma.. now go wash up omma. I’ll put those groceries on the fridge.” Eunji carried the groceries and headed to the kitchen. Her mother too followed her

“Did I tell you that she had a son?”mom asked

“Ah, it’d be great for Minki then. He’ll have someone to play with.” Eunji replied casually, stocking the fridge with groceries

“He could..but he’s older than you..” mom said cautiously

Eunji finally understood what was going on.

“Omma. No. that’s not going to happen. Don’t try to match make omma~. …Please tell me this dinner is not an excuse for your matchmaking.”

“Aniyo, it’s not like that. Sunhwa said he was handsome, well mannered, and I too boasted about you..so we thought why not? I want you to be happy Eunji ya, I want you to find a good man and settle down… But no,  this dinner is just about welcoming them.”

“Ok omma. No more talk about this topic. Now go get changed, I’ll start preparing for dinner!” Eunji guided her mother out of kitchen, and started the preparations..
