I took a deep intake of air to fill my lungs with the fresh air. I couldn’t help but felt amazed with the beautiful scenery before my eyes. This was paradise.

“Finally, we’re here.” A soft whisper rang through my ear along with a pair of arms lingering my body. I leaned my head to his shoulder as he tightened his grip around me. Being here with Luhan was the only thing I wanted.

“Do you want to swim?” he leaned in closer to my face and whispered.

“Can we just stroll along the beach?” I heard his giggle before felt warmness on my right cheek as he gave it a peck.

“Sure, Sunny. Let’s have a stroll.” He pulled away and moved to my side. I looked up at him and threw him a smile which he gladly replied with the same gesture. We then started to walk slowly with our hands clasping each other.

This thing what I was having now was just too good to be true. Call me cheesy or anything but I cherished every moment with him. The sea water that kept on touching my feet felt so fresh and the sand below was so smooth, felt like I was walking on a pile of cotton.

I turned my head to my side and admired my boyfriend’s figure. He was focusing forward that he didn’t notice me staring at him, luckily. Oh my. I never realized that he was so handsome. I mean, I knew that he was handsome but not this handsome. His cute and tall nose, his doe eyes, his soft-looking lips. My eyes travelled down his neck, then his body…. Wait, I just realized it that he was topless. God, hold me! I guessed I would faint anytime soon! I’d never seen him topless before so I thought he had wimpy and skinny body, just like another teenager but boy, was I wrong. He had that toned body but not too bulky. He had abs!

“Oh, I know I’m that hot.” He chuckled which made me noticed that he was looking at me. He caught me staring! Ugh, this was embarrassing!

“No! I wasn’t staring at your body. I was just checking on the sand.” I exclaimed while averting my side another way.

“I didn’t say anything about you staring at my body. So you were drooling over my body huh?” stupid me! Why did I say those words?! Out of tons of lies, I just chose that stupid one which pushed me further to the edge. “You know I can drool over yours too.” He smirked as his eyes twinkled. I noticed that his eyes weren’t staring back at mine, or even my face. I followed his eyes direction and it was below my face. I looked down and got shocked even more. I was wearing a pair of bikini!

“Ya~! Quit staring!” I slapped him just hard enough to make his head turned away from me. I was expecting him to be mad but he just chuckled playfully, the usual Luhan style.

“Okay, okay. You know you don’t have to slap me that hard.” He turned at me but this time his eyes fell rightly on my eyes. He wasn’t that mad, I knew. But still I felt a little, tiny bit guilty.

“Wait here, okay?” he suddenly went away, didn’t give me time to ask where he was going. Few seconds later, he came back with a stick in his hand. He was smiling while pointing the stick to me.

“You want to give this stick to me?” I made a frown with my forehead creased. Was he joking or something?

“No,” he said while giggling. He then squatted down and put the other end of the stick on the sand and started to draw. 

“What are you drawing?” I asked him which got no answer from him. Instead, he continued to make scratches on the sand. Once he was finished, he threw the stick away.

There on the sand, he drew a heart with our names inside.

“Sorry if you found this corny. I just feel like writing our names.” He scratched his nape and I could see his cheeks were turning red. Usually, I would laugh hard on corny things like this. Even I made my cousin stop talking to me for 3 months after I laughed on him drawing things like this when we had family trip. This time, I couldn’t take myself to laugh at Luhan’s masterpiece. Instead, I felt touched. It was just a stupid drawing on the sand but it meant something in my heart. Just by seeing the words made my heart flutter in excitement and glee.

“Wow.” That’s the only word I could manage since I was too mesmerized. I couldn’t stop staring.

“Well, I want us to be together, bounded with love just like how our name secured by this heart shape. Though I’ve only dated you for days, but I know that you will be my last love. Can we stay forever until the end?” his last sentence came out as a question and he looked up at me. I was staring back at him, speechless. His words really meant something. Before I could blurt out the word ‘yes’ that was already on the edge of my tongue, a wave came and unwantedly brushed off some parts of his drawing. We both stared sadly at the remaining of the drawing. There was only my name with the half part of the heart. The water had wiped off his name and another part of the heart. I could see his mood turned down as his face fell. He was sad. It was so clear. And I would be lying if I said I wasn’t sad too. With a croaked voice, I tried to cheer him up.

“Luhan, you can just draw it again and—“

“No. Let’s just get back to the hotel now.” He got up on his feet back before grabbing my hand. We were walking away from the beach in silence. I kept staring at him who had that sad and unpleased expression on his face. I really wanted to bring his cocky smirk back. As much as I hated to see his smirk –which was obviously a lie-, I hated his sad face more.

“Sun—“ he was shocked when he felt me pulling my hand away from his. He turned around to see me walking back to the beach. “What are you doing?” he yelled from far, observing me who was busy looking for the stick he was using before.

“I’m looking for the stick to make another drawing.” I yelled back at him without even spare a glance at him. I was too focusing on the search of that certain stick. Where did he throw the stick anyway?

He came running to me as he put my action to a halt. “Stop looking for it. it’s no use.”

“But I want to make the drawing again. This time, I will be the one drawing and it will not be too close to the water.” I said to him before smiling and continue to look for that damn stick.

“I’ll find the stick for you.” He suddenly said and started to rummage around the shore. “Found it!” he stated as I saw the same stick in his hand from behind a big rock. 

“Finally! Bring it here so we can make another drawing on the sand!” I shouted out, the next thing I saw him lifted the stick up in the air while running to me with that stupid smile. I couldn’t help but laughed at this funny sight. He looked like a little kid.

He was laughing along with me though he was the one that I was laughing at. Before he got to get near me, he tripped and caused the stick to fly back behind the rock. “Oh, you okay?” I worriedly asked him. He stood back up on his legs and wiped the sands off of his body.

“I’m okay. I’ll take the stick back.” He smiled at me before turning his back at me, walking towards the rock back. That boy. I wondered why I didn’t date him earlier.

After seemed like 30 seconds, he hadn’t come back. What was he doing behind that rock?

“Luhan? Hurry get back here!” I called him and got no answer from the boy. What was taking him so long to find one stick? I walked closer to the rock and peeked behind it and found…. None. No Luhan. No one. That time, I started to panic.

“Luhan! Where are you? This is not funny!” I yelled aloud while turning my head to see if he was around. This was not funny! I never liked playing hide and seek and be the one who had to seek! 

“You better come out this instant or I’ll never forgive you!” I shouted again but to no avail, still no answer and no trace of Luhan.

“Luhan! Luhan! Luhan!” I kept calling his name while running along the beach, looking for him. no no no! this is not happening to me! He’s not leaving me alone here, in our paradise!

“Luhan! Don’t go! Come back! Please, come back! Come—“

“Sunny! Sunny!” finally, I can hear his voice calling me. Wait. Why is the world shaking like this? I shut my eyes tightly upon seeing the darkness that suddenly lingered my vision.

“Sunny!” in his third call, I reopen my eyes only to meet his worrisome gaze. “Sunny, are you okay?” he asks me once I can make out the place where I’m in. Wait, this is certainly not a beach. This is a room. Yes, it’s my living room.

“I’m…. fine.” I give him an answer while trying to sit up. He helps me and pulls me to a sitting position.

“You were sweating all over while calling my name in your sleep. You sure you’re fine?” he asks me again as he puts his hand on my forehead.

“I was just having a nightmare. That’s all.” I give him a reassuring smile just to make him stop worrying about me. He huffs then pulls his hand off of my forehead.

“I worried that you might sick or something. However, I’m in charge of you, young miss. Remember that.” He messes my hair softly though his face doesn’t show any sign of playfulness. I make a pout and blink my eyes cutely at him.

“I know, sir. I’m sorry for causing your worry.” He looks away from me until I tug on his sleeve.

“What was in your dream anyway? You seemed so stressed. Were you dreaming of me you?”

“Yah!” I reward him a slap on his shoulder upon his last sentence. How could he make fun of something like that?

“Okay, okay! I’m being serious here. Can you tell me about your dream earlier? Maybe you want to share it since I was indirectly involved?” he holds both my hands in his as his eyes staring into mine deeply. Okay, now I'm debating with my inner self whether to tell him about my dream or not. It was just a dream. Nothing special about it though I felt so scared when I found Luhan leaving me alone in my dream.

“It was…. nothing serious. I’ve already forgot about it anyway. Haha!” I laugh it off then stand on my feet. “Since my mother left us no food, let’s cook something to eat. I’m starving!” I pull his hand to follow me to the kitchen. Though I’m now fully awake from that nightmare, my heart still pounding rapidly. Oh, stupid dream! Go away!

here's another update :D i'm so glad that many people ship this sunhan pairings ^^ and i want to make them ending up happily but, we can see later since this fanfiction is an angst one :(( maybe there's still possibily to make it ends happily :) for the mean time, enjoy readng this chapter^^
