Daehyun looked at himself in the mirror and grinned. Sure he was plumper but who cares right? As long as he was happy, which he was. He pulled on his t-shirt and shorts and bounded down the stairs.

" MUUUUUUUUMMM!!!" he hollered as Mrs Jung sat dozing at the kitchen table. She sat up with a start and smiled at her 11 year old son who was stuffing his face with cornflakes. 

" Morning kiddo. You seem excited to go to school...as usual!" she added hugging Daehyun who bit her arm. " OWWW!! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?" she yelled pulling her arm back. Daehyun shrugged laughing as he ran outside expecting to meet a bored Yongguk. But he didn't.

" Hmmm... That's funny.." mused Daehyun peering over the wall into his neighbour's abode. Yongguk stepped out slamming the door behind him and hurried out the gate.

" C'mon fatass! Lets go!" he said impatiently, which was also unusual but Daehyun shrugged it off and complied. " What rhymes with pie?" he asked Yongguk just as the Bang's door flew open and a plump woman ran outside. Yongguk groaned as she ran up to him squealing and hugged him tight, squashing his face against her bosom. " Oh my little twinkle binkle is going to school I see!! " she cried swinging Yongguk from left to right. " You naughty boy! Not even telling me! Oh how you have grown!" she sniffled as tears streamed down her face.

" Ew.." said Daehyun watching Yongguk struggle. " Ok Aunt Monika. I gotta go now.." he gasped finally pulling away from the woman who shrieked. " Oh my my!! He is a man!" she sobbed blowing her nose on a colourful hanky. Daehyun snickered at the way she was now kissing Yongguk's face lovingly. " Oh !! Get off aunt Monika i'm getting late!" he said ducking under her arm and dragging Daehyun away, rubbing at his lipstick stained face. 

" Oh Yongukkie! Hold on. Take this with you!" called out Aunty Monika as she threw a flowery bag at Yongguk. He peeped inside to find it full of large cookies hot from the oven. " Made with my love" sniffled the woman.

" That's your aunt?" asked Daehyun pointing.

" Oh! You must be Yongguk's friend! Yongguk's friend's are like my son's!" cried the lady coming towards Daehyun who backed away rapidly.

" Yep. Meet my Aunty Monika." grinned Yongguk pushing Daehyun towards his aunt who gave him a bone crushing hug too. 

" Oh wow... she really loves you...." commented Daehyun shakily as they neared school, the after effects of Aunty Monika taking its toll on him.

" Oh shut the up." grumbled Yongguk stuffing the rest of his half eaten cookie in Daehyun's mouth.

In the classroom Daehyun was chatting with pigtails, while Yongguk sat dozing at the back. The students were loud and rowdy, waiting for the teacher to come. She did moments later with a very haughty looking boy, in a checked long sleeved shirt which was buttoned right up to his throat, and tucked into his trousers. On his feet he wore big sandals. His hair was parted in the middle and he wore huge glasses that were perfect circles.

" Goodmorning class!! Nice to see you all present. We have a new student. Please introduce yourself. " she said turning to the boy, who narrowed his eyes at the students before starting

" Good day. I " began the boy dramatically waiting for effect. "...am Yoo Youngjae. I shifted to this neighbourhood last week. I hope I make some loyal friends.." he said curtly.

" .... Nerdjae?" came a surprised voice from the back. Youngjae's nostrils flared as he looked around the class trying to spot the culprit. And screamed. " YOU!!!!" pointing his finger at Yongguk who stared back in surprise. Then he smirked and rested his chin on his hand. " Nice to see you."

" WHAT!! YOU SHIFTED HERE TOO?" asked Youngjae angrily. " You know Yongguk?" asked the teacher and Youngjae nodded. " We were in the same school. He was my rival. I was so happy when he left...He gave me the nickname Nerdjae and everyone began to use it on me eversince. When i left i thought I'll never hear it again" sighed Youngjae then glaring at Yongguk who stretched his arms over his head. " Funny I didn't consider you my rival seeing you weren't good enough...

" OH YOU ----"

" That's nice.. Now Youngjae please take a seat." said the teacher. " I want to sit at the front.." said Youngjae but the kid in front shook his head no. " Youngjae... we're wasting time. Next week we'll be changing seats and you can sit in the front." said the teacher impatiently and Youngjae fumed as he stomped to the seat in front of Yongguk.

" It's ok. I won't give you a .." snickered Yongguk as Nerdjae sat down huffily. " I do not know what it means but as you are a ert, i'm sure its nothing good." huffed Youngjae pulling out his textbooks.

" What's a ?" asked Daehyun from the pigtailed girl who scrunched her face up in thought. " A type of bone." she said finally and Daehyun nodded in admiration. 'She's a prodigy too. '

" So. What has been your ranking in this school?" asked Youngjae turning around as the bell rang and the teacher walked out. Yongguk who was doodling on his notebook looked up slowly. "A rank you'll never have." he said. Youngjae scowled." You're first arent you?" he asked. Yongguk only grinned at him. 

At his old school, Yongguk had preferred to be a loner and made no friends and this was sucessful until Youngjae had chosen him to compete with just because he aced one test Youngjae couldn't. Ever since that day, the two had been competing with each other in everything except for the fact that Yongguk didn't consider Youngjae an opponent and tended to forget his existence which had annoyed Youngjae to such a high extent that he had gone up on stage once and sworn to beat Yongguk in everything he did.

He had also said that he would make sure Yongguk would never forget his name.Unfortunately that same day, Yongguk had not been present...  And what annoyed Youngjae the most was, that he had almost beaten Yongguk. See, the nerd had been keeping track of their 'rivalry' and right now, Yongguk had scored 54 and Youngjae 50. And then Yongguk had shifted and Youngjae had been disappointed to not have another rival who could match his standards.

" And now i have a chance to beat him...." thought Youngjae turning around in his seat again.

" What are the sports you are doing?" he demanded. Yongguk sighed. " What is wrong with people these days. Just shut the up." he said resting his head on his table. " Hmmm Haven't changed in the area of vocabulary i see,..." said Youngjae snarkily. " I shall beat you in everything you do just so you know.." he added as their Geography teacher waltzed in.

" Hellooooo... Here are you're tests... Pass them around to the owner. Your teacher won't be coming today so behave! " she said twirling to  a girl and handing her the sheaf of test papers. 

These were just small tests to prepare the kids for the big exams. The first 12 questions were usually general knowledge and the second part had the 'solid hard ones' as the kids liked to say.

Daehyun staredv at his B+ . " Ah well. Maybe if i studied..." he shrugged happily as pigtails stared at her B- .. " Oh my .. I beat a prodigy..." he gasped.

Yongguk didn't boher looking up as the girl placed his paper next to him and Youngjae snatched it and gasped dramatically.

" An F-...???!!! How is this possible??" he asked Yongguk and got no response. " But... You beat me in all our tests..." he exclaimed shocked reading the answers. Right at the top, in red block capital letters was , ' Yongguk meet me during break. If this was marked for its creativity i would've given you an A++++!! But this cannot do.'

Youngjae read the questions and Yongguk's answers horrified.

1.  Ji nae can't see anything when she looks down her microscope. Suggest one reason why she can't? Cause she's blind and has a hard time accepting the truth.  So she's acting like she's normal.

2. How can you lift an elephant with one hand? You can never lift an elephant who has one hand now can you? Unless you're superman... he can stop planes too...

3. Steve is driving his car. He is driving at 60kmph and the speed limit is 40mph. Is steve speed driving ? He could find out by checking his speedometer. 

4. What is the scientific explanation for a vibration? There are good vibrations and bad vibrations. Good vibrations are usually more liked than the bad ones. The good ones are very pleasurable.. So which one's are you talking about???

5. Why are there rings on Saturn? Cause god didn't like seeing a single lady and put a ring on it.

6.If you had 4 mango's, in your left hand and 3 in your right, what do you have? Very large hands.

7. Describe the law of conservation of mass. This class makes me lose faith in humanity. So for Humanities sake I will not answer.

8. How can you drop a raw egg onto a concrete floor without breaking it?

Anyway you please, seeing the egg will break nonetheless when it touches the concrete. It amazes me how hard concrete can be to be able to suffer the consequences of kids dropping things on it to see if it'll crack ... thanks to you for inspiring kids to do such stupid acts

9. What's the reason for divorce? Marriage. 

10. What's the reason for exams? Failure. But then again, failures's are the pillars of success.

11. In which battle did Napolean die? His last one. the man didn't stand a chance.

12. In 70 years i will be......... For this Yongguk had drawn a tomstone saying R.I.P Bang Yongguk, a man like no other... May his gift to mankind thrive.

Youngjae was too shocked to check the rest so he turned the page over to see Yongguk had drawn two stick figures at the end of the last page, one with a gun pointing at the other saying, ' Give the man a bonus point or the stick figure gets it.... With the victim saying 'Please do what he's saying.'

" Are you serious?" exclaimed Youngjae. Yongguk looked up annoyed. "Nerdjae. I told you it's a rank you'll never have. Now shut the up before I shut it myself." he hissed grabbing his test paper and going back to sleep. 

But sleep was limited as the door banged open and a woman in a leather jacket and cowboy pants marched in.

" ALRIGHT BRATS! LISTEN UP!! " she hollered and everyone sat up straight. " Get up!" whispered Youngjae hitting Yongguk on the head and Yongguk almost broke the boys arm till he saw the woman. She was the teacher in charge of swimming.

" OK. SO WE ARE HAVING OUR ANNUAL INTER SCHOOL SWIMMING MEET FINALS IN 3 WEEKS AND ONE OF OUR SWIMMERS BROKE HIS ARM SO WE NEED ONE BOY. WHICH ONE OF YOU BRATS CAN SWIM??" she growled running her eyes over the kids. 

Several hands went up. " I'M WARNING YOU... I WILL MAKE YOU PRACTICE LIKE NEVER BEFORE..SO THINK TWICE" she spat. Several hands went down as the swimming teacher had a reputation that only demons would find attractive. One hand was still waving in the air.

Daehyun.

" Alright kid. We'll see how you are." said the teacher stalking over to Daehyun.

" How come you didn't put your hand up??" asked Youngjae turning around to face Yongguk who shrugged. " Out of practice." he said nonchalantly. " But... You were one of the best right?" 

Daehyun was grinning and giving Yongguk the thumbs up while excitedly mouthing 'I'm in!' Yongguk gave him a small smile.Youngjae quirked a brow watching the small scene after which Yongguk wrote 'uck' next to his F in the failed test paper.

His eyes widened. " You gave the chance to him no!!!!" he gasped and several heads turned. " Turn around losers..." said Yongguk and the heads turned back . " Whoa.... You. gave up your chance to shine... What's happened to you?" asked Youngjae peering at Yongguk with new light. " You've got a heart??!! You've changed?!"

" off dweeb. " said Yongguk making a paperplane from his test paper.

" Except that foul mouth... But whoa... this is news!"

" I never said i did Nerdjae.You're just assuming." asid Yongguk pulling out his gameboy and resting his feet on his table. But Youngjae was still staring at him.

" Whoa..."

" Whoa......" gasped Youngjae as the bell rang to signal the end of school. The kids ran out screaming freedom and Yongguk was slowly putting in his books sleepily. 

" This is.." began Youngjae but Yongguk was already making his way to the door.

" Yah. You coming?" he asked Daehyun as he passed by his desk.

" What? Nope. I gotta practice for swimming!!! It goes on till 6.00!" cried Dehyun jumping out of his seat excitedly.

" Calm down fatass. But you don't have swim trunks.." pointed out Yongguk. " Huh? Oh the lady in charge has extras. Why don't you come with me to the pool? And you too Youngjae!" he said grinning at Youngjae who was staring mouth wide open.

" Whoa..."

" Leave Nerdjae." muttered Yongguk stepping out of the class. Daehyun walked over to Youngjae and grinned. " I'm Jung daehyun. And i like food." he said.

" Yoo Youngjae. I love studying.." said Youngjae before following Daehyun out to the pool chatting with him. "This kid is nice" he thought as he watched Daehyun run to the teacher in charge of swimming who threw an orange pair of swim trunks at him. It landed on his face.

 Youngjae watched from the door as Yongguk approached Daehyun grumpily and he hurried to hear what they were saying.

" ... You sure you're not hungry?" asked Yongguk finding the pool water interesting. " Are you offering to get me something to eat?" gasped Daehyun. " No. I won't give a damn if you died.I have some sandwiches i don't want so i was wondering if i could get rid of them. Or mum will ing kill me."

" STOP SWEARING...Ok. Gimme your food." said Daehyun as his stomach rumbled and Youngjae amost fell into the pool as Yongguk handed a parcel to Daehyun who took it and went off to the benches, waving at Yongguk and Youngjae.

" I'm going home.." said Yongguk pushing Youngjae out of his way but Youngjae caught his arm. " This is your friend??" asked Youngjae pointing at daehyun who was devouring the sandwiches. " Acquaintance." said Yongguk leaving a bewildered Youngjae behind.. 

"Wow... I'm probably hallucinating... " said Youngjae. "AAAAARRRGH!!!" screamed Daehyun diving, but ending up doing a bellyflop instead.

" Whoa...." 

" Excuse me... I saw you talking to Yongguk. Where is he??" came a voice behind Youngjae who turned to be greeted by a kid about 8 years old. But was quite tall for his age.

" He went home..Why?" asked Youngjae. The kid sighed. "My name is Junhong. I'm in detention because of him."

Another  scream from the pool as Daehyun chokes followed by the swimming woman's bellows.

" Do explain.." said Youngjae adjusting his glasses. " Well, I was doing my homework afterschool one day 'cause mum was getting late and Yongguk was going afterschool for detention. So i just asked him to help me out. And he did and i was grateful but now the teacher says i did a really bad thing and  now i'm in detention and she wants to see Yongguk." said the kid dramatically arms flailing about. " Lemme see." said Youngjae grabbing the paper. He gasped. 

1. Rewrite the jumbled words :  penholder in pen my is a.

My in a penholder.

" I don't know why it's wrong! All the words are there!" exclaimed Junhong shaking his head sadly. " She can't make such a fuss just 'cause the words 'pen' and 'is' has no space between...It's just a careless mistake!" muttered Junhong.

" Okay. i change my mind. He's still awful..." concluded Youngjae as Daehyun splashed both him and Junhong as he swam by.

A/N : OH MY GOODNESS!!! Thank you all for commenting on chapter five! I was so surprised!! I couldn't reply to them but  I read each and every comment and i loved every comment. l  mean i was so happy that i was grinning like an idiot in my literature class and the teacher gave me the evil eye thinking i was laghing at her..

Anyway, this chapter ... Sorry not much Bangdae but i just had to write about Youngjae! Next chapter will be about the swimming meet and there will be more Bangdae moments!

So they're 11 in this chap. I saw that most of you were sad about Bangdae childhood coming to an end and i can relate... so i will add in  a bit more of their childhood for you and then make them grow up okay! And don't worry, the story doesn't end even though their childhood does!
