Instantly, my body spun around upon hearing footsteps coming closer from behind. At that moment, nothing came across my mind other than the fact that I was doomed for eavesdropping. Facing the front, I could feel two presences standing behind me, which made cold chills ran straight down my spine. Baekhyun and Chen were already standing in the hall, probably staring down at me with many questions in mind. Honestly, with them standing behind me, it gave me the creeps as if they’re ghosts wanting to haunt me down for what I have done. For that, I didn’t dare to look back to see their faces.   “H-How much did you hear?” Baekhyun stuttered from behind me.   Slightly glancing over my shoulder after staring at the tall boy standing in front of me, eating his apple, I got to see the two boys’ faces expression. Chen had his arms folded against his chest, shaking his head at me as if he was really disappointed at me, which I believe he really was disappointed for my action. As for Mr. Byun Baekhyun, he was staring down at me with eyes as widened as it could be. He was a couple of feet in front of Chen. His chest was heaving unevenly while his face was becoming paler. His eyes told me that he was seriously hoping that I hadn’t heard anything.   “Johae, you shouldn’t have eavesdropped.” Chen sternly stated as he looked directly at me. “It may not be a crime but it could become a very bad habit. You should have just came in and have a chat with us instead of creeping outside of my room.” His eyes then went to the apple boy – Chanyeol – with furrowed eyebrows. “How on earth did you get into the house? My parents aren’t home.”   Chanyeol grinned as he stepped closer to me. He tossed an arm around me and pulled me closer to him. He jabbed apple towards the staircase, “I ran into your grandma at the market so I sort of tagged along when she said she was heading to your place. She’s actually downstairs in the kitchen preparing soup for you since she heard you’re sick.” He smiled at me. “And, why did you eavesdropped on them, missy?”   I grinned, guiltily. “I heard someone mentioned my name. I had to do it to know why.”   “Did you find out why?”   “Nope.” I responded with a pout.   Chen laughed with a slight cough right after. “We didn’t say anything bad about you, silly girl.” He pointed at Baekhyun, who was still standing deadly at his spot. “He was just telling me that what—“   “Yah! Kim Jongdae!” Baekhyun hollered, interrupted Chen from saying anything else.   Baekhyun avoided meeting eyes with me when Chen and Chanyeol burst into laughter. He was sending death glares at his two best friends as if glares could kill. “Okay, I won’t tell her.” Chen calmed down a bit and gave Chanyeol’s shoulder a pat when I felt the boy stopped laughing. “I’ll tell you later.”   “I’m going home.” Baekhyun muttered as he brushed right passed us.   “Should we stop him?” I questioned when Chanyeol removed his arm. “Baekhyun!”   “He’ll get over it.” Chanyeol said as he motioned Chen to head to his room. “Tell me what’s so juicy!”   Should I? “Baekhyun-ah!” I chased after him.   -   This is not you. It’s so unlike of you to be this silent. You didn’t budge at my countless apologies nor did you spare me a look or a word. Please, just say something to me. Tell me to get lost. Tell me that what I’ve done was wrong. Tell me you don’t want to ever see me again. Anything. I cannot stand this—   “Go inside, Johae.”   “I don’t want to.”   The two of us were seated underneath the night sky, side-by-side, just like the other evening on Chen’s grandparents’ front porch. Only, this time, the atmosphere was d
