update #5: i’m tryin a new method

“I’m so sorry, Kyungsoo,” Yixing whispers as he kneels down next to the (hopefully sleeping) man. “Please forgive me oh dear god I’m so scared.”

Yixing slowly bends his head and presses his lips to Kyungsoo’s.

He feels rather than hears Kyungsoo’s muffled “what the .”

“I’m really sorry Tao just suggested it to me because you weren’t waking up so he said to kiss you awake like Sleeping Beauty not that you’re a girl but you are beautiful and I like you and I’m sorry I hit you with my guitar and the reason you’re wet is because I poured water over your face to wake you-”

“Slow down and back up,” Kyungsoo says, raising a hand. “Can you-”

“-but it didn’t work because I dropped the bowl on your head-”

“Is that why I feel like ?” Kyungsoo wonders.

“-and Tao said to kiss you awake and I didn’t think it would work but I just wanted an excuse to kiss you I guess and. It worked. And.” Yixing coughs. "And. Yeah."

“And you like me,” Kyungsoo grins, still beautiful with wet hair plastered to the sides of his head, still beautiful with blood dripping down his cheek oh blood.

“Your guitar really did a number on me,” Kyungsoo says mildly as Yixing, sitting behind him, dabs at the wound with a cotton ball drenched in rubbing alcohol.

“Sorry,” Yixing winces.

Kyungsoo just smiles and leans back so his head rests against Yixing’s chest.

That was not expected but totally welcomed in Yixing’s opinion.

“Your heart is beating very fast,” Kyungsoo comments. Yixing mentally screams.

“So is mine,” Kyungsoo continues. He looks up at Yixing’s (red) face and his smile grows wider. “That means I like you, you know. That means I like you back. That means I’ve liked you ever since I first saw you in the campus courtyard, playing your guitar, and that means I still like you even though you hit me with it.”

After a few beats of silence pass, the smile starts slipping off his face.

“Yixing? Yixing hyung? Please say something.”

Yixing swallows. And grabs Kyungsoo’s face to burn kisses into his mouth.
