Sehun P.O.V

I don't know why but I felt so nervous around him.  
That’s probably because he’s so attractive..
It would be strange if I’d kept looking  at him the whole time but I peeked from the corner of my eye at his baby-like face a few times.
And I couldn’t help but smile secretly to myself. There were so many things I wanted to ask him, and so many things that I wanted to know about him. But I don’t know how to start conversations, I’m always afraid of saying something stupid. We walked in a awkward silence between us which was making me feel really uncomfortable so I took a deep breath before breaking the silence.
‘How was the audition?’
Luhan looked at me and his straight face vanished as a smile appeared instead. He looked as if he was glad that I spoke.
‘To be honest it wasn’t as complicated or hard as I thought it will be. Mr Jung seems really nice and the best advice I can give you it’s just that you should be yourself.’ The gentle smile on his face just proved how friendly he was. I wish I could leave the same kind of impression but as I said before, making friends isn’t something I’m good in. Luhan through was the complete opposite, if you would even meet him you would want to be friends with him.  Even if he doesn’t say anything his charming smile and peaceful aura will attract you. He reminded me of my first meeting with Mr Jung, I don’t think I left a good impression on him either, I’ll feel embarrassed if I’ll see him. I thanked Luhan for the advice and I thought of the next question I wanted to ask him, my mind was a mess and the silence between us appeared again.
‘Can I ask you something?’’ I finally said
Luhan raised his eyebrows slightly  ‘Sure’
‘..You’re not Korean are you?’
I don’t think he expected this question because he chuckled slightly. ‘Can you tell?’
‘A-Anieyo~ It’s not that, I thought so because of your name and accent’ I said quickly
How come everything he does attracts me? Even his laugh was honeyed
‘I’m not Korean, you’re right. I came here yesterday from China’
To be honest I haven’t met a Chinese person before, there weren’t any Chinese kids in my school either.
But, he came all the way from China just for the audition? He must had a lot of confidence because what if he wouldn’t make it? I wanted to ask him something again but he suddenly grabbed my arm and pointed at a man that was walking towards the elevator.
‘It’s him!’ Said Luhan pulling me with him
We ran to stop the man from walking into the elevator which arrived.
‘Mr Jung!’
The man turned around hearing Luhan’s call.
It was Mr Jung indeed. I remember him, if I wouldn’t know he works here I would still believe his from some mafia. He looked pretty  scary  if you first saw him.
We ran up to him and both of us bowed.
‘This friend was a little late but I thought that maybe sir could see his performance?’ said Luhan
Mr Jung seemed to quickly recognize me. ‘Ah it’s you. You’re the kid from running man eh?’
I bowed my head again. ‘I didn’t get to apologize to you last time, I’m sorry for making you run after me, I really appreciate and I’m really thankful for a chance that you gave me to be able to come here, I really wanted to come but I woke a little bit late and then there was this big traffic and-’
‘I’m sorry kid’ said Mr Jung interrupting my sentence ‘but there’s nothing I can do now. I can’t make an audition without the other judges, I’m afraid you will have to wait another year for the next audition.’ he said with an apologetic look.
I admit it kind of hit me. I was trying really hard to hold back tears. Luhan was trying to say something but I bowed again to Mr Jung.
‘I understand. Thank you anyway and I really want to thank you Luhan as well, thank you for your help and I wish you good luck’ I smiled and I quickly turned my back on them to hide the tears which I knew will drop down in a minute. I was about to walk away before Mr Jung called me. ‘Yah kid wait’
I wiped my cheeks from tears before turning around.
Mr Jung slowly walked towards me.
He stood in front of me and sighed.
‘Maybe I could get the judges to come again tomorrow, if so you will have to be here dead early and of course on time, no excuses will be forgiven do you understand?’ He seemed to say it really harshly but he was really trying hard not to smile when he saw my expression. I really couldn’t believe it.
‘I-I don’t know what to say.. Really, thank you’ I bowed as low as I could shutting my eyes to hold the tears in.
Mr Jung patted my back. ‘You better show me something good tomorrow and prove me that I didn’t chose you as a mistake’ He said before having a quick glance at his watch. ‘I have to go now kids, I’ll see you tomorrow and even if you’ll get sick I want to see you here at 10am  araso?’
I nodded my head in excitement and thanked him once again before he left me and Luhan alone again.
His face was almost as full of happiness as mine was. Then happened something I didn’t expect..
He came up to me and hugged me.
Yes it was a ‘friendly’ or more like a ‘congratulations’ hug but to feel his arms around me even for a moment made my heart stop. I’ve never received a hug before from anyone other than my family members.
A sound of my heart was piercingly loud.
I just stood there feeling that my face burned red while Luhan patted my back enthusiastically.
‘I’m so happy!’ he said as he pulled away
‘Thank you honestly, If not your help I would be already on my way home with no good news what’s so ever’
Luhan shook his head slightly. ‘It’s nothing. I’m glad I could help somehow’ his lovely smile speeded up the beat of my heart once again.
‘Hey, do you want to exchange numbers? You could tell me about the audition once you’re done tomorrow, we won’t see each other until the training in three days.’
I more than happily took my phone out as we exchanged numbers. Once again I thanked him as we both walked out of SM’s building. Luhan waved me as he headed his direction and I soon afterwards went mine.
During the whole journey with the bus back home, my smile never faded. I couldn’t believe that all what happened was real. But this just encouraged me to work even harder, after all I didn’t get as a rookie yet. I have to show my best tomorrow and who knows , maybe me and Luhan will debut at the same time?
I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I can’t stop thinking about him, and when he hugged me.. It lasted approximately 3 seconds but it felt like ages. I don’t even know him that well but I feel as if we had been close forever. Suddenly my phone vibrated, I unlocked my phone to check the message I got.

I smiled to myself. Maybe that’s what friendship is like? Since I’ve never had one I might have a bit overreact. Maybe what I’m feeling is just amity other than what I thought was ‘love at first sight’...

I came back home as happy as ever. I don’t remember last time I came home this happy, last time was when I got accepted to college but this happiness is even more overwhelming.
I ran to the kitchen to find my mum who as expected was there.
I guardedly closed the doors behind me so that dad won’t hear our conversation. Of course he would be against what I’m doing. Mum is the only person I could trust in this house.
When my mother saw me she quickly sat down in front of our dining table pointing for me to sit as well.
With my awesome-drama skills I slowly walked towards the table and I’ve sat heavily on the chair  letting out a sigh.
‘Something wrong? What did they say? Did you sing or dance well? They said no? Sweetheart~ Don’t worry, I’m sure you did your best’
‘That’s not it mum’ She looked at me with a puzzled look.
‘I was late for the audition so they didn’t let me perform..’ I said sadly keeping my role believable
My mum led out a cry before standing up to come and hug me.
‘Oh no, my baby~ What kind of jerks works there to make my little son come all the way there and then sent him back home’ She now was more annoyed that sad and I couldn’t help but laugh
She looked at me confused as always when I prank her.
‘Yes I was late, but I can come tomorrow for the audition’
My mum poked my forehead angrily when I still laughed at her  priceless expression
‘You think it’s funny to make fun of a old lady?’ She said but in a moment she also started smiling.
She sighed and was about to say something but she closed when dad suddenly came into the kitchen.
‘Supper won’t make itself if you keep chattering’ He said sitting himself on the table where both of us were.
Mum's eyes darted around nervously before she  looked down avoiding his gaze while  I just sat there quietly.
‘Sehun’ he said calmly
I looked at him. ‘Since you finished your finals why don’t you look for a job?’
My mother gave me a quick look but then she stood up and went back to pour the soup she made into bowls.
‘I want you to get a job by the end of this  month, you’re already old enough to feed and dress yourself with your own money.’
I stayed quiet for the whole time. Mum came and placed the bowls in front of me and my dad but I stood up.
‘I’m not hungry’ I said before walking out from the kitchen back to my bedroom.
I tossed and turned in bed letting out a loud sigh;
I can’t possibly tell him that the job  I want to do is to be a singer.  
He would probably close me in my bedroom for the rest of my life or make me work in his stupid shop.
I wish I had enough money to move out, living under the same roof with him isn’t that easy.
I lied in my bed looking up at the ceiling.
But my dad wasn’t bothering my thoughts anymore.
It was Luhan who was on my mind.
A fluffy feeling ran through my body as I remember him, his smile, laugh and touch.
I don’t understand why am I like this. I don’t understand why I can’t stop thinking about him.
 

After all, we’re just friends right?
