It’s Not All In Your Head
26th November
At the same time, a tall redhead strode down the buzzing hallway. Stopping in front of her Professor's office, the full figured woman juggled her belongings in her arms. Just as she was about to reach for the handle, the dark oak door creaked open to reveal the man she was after. Pushing his glasses up his nose, the middle aged man who didn't look a day over twenty seven smiled brightly. "KiSe Ssi, I was just about to come looking for you."
"I've done nothing wrong." She immediately held her free hand up at chest height and shook it in lazy defence.
The Professor chuckled and scooped his hand, beckoning her to come inside. "I have something for you." Brow quirked in curiosity, the female shuffled inside the glorified store cupboard. With barely enough room for his desk and a chair either side of it, a bookcase and several dozen plants littering the dank room, KiSe maneuvered inside so she could shut the door behind her. "Take a seat." He gestured for the well-loved leather chair and the woman did just that. "I have a letter here for you." He tore his eyes from hers to look through the mess scattered, well, just about everywhere.
The redhead watched the man hissing in his search for the mentioned item and she couldn't help but to snort a laugh at his disorganized behaviour; he was qualified to shrink people yet he couldn't even keep his own work in order.
KiSe was a Psychology major and couldn't help but to analyze the mannerisms of those around her. The habit had gotten her into trouble more often than not, but she didn't spend too much time thinking much about it. For as long as she could remember, she had been interested in how people work, and her study choice couldn't have been a better fit. Her first year had gone smoothly; she would study during the day and refrain from partying until all of her work had been completed. But in her second year, she had become involved with someone. He was perfect for her. He was tall, and had this deep voice that made her tingle in places she'd forgot about, and most of all, he kept her wanting more every time they parted. However, during recent weeks, there seemed to be an unspoken rift between them.
"Ah, here it is." The Professor leaned across his work space and handed over the embellished white and teal envelope.
KiSe's immaculate brows knitted together as she took the letter and examined it. She had an idea of what it was. It was that time of year when everyone was sent into panic over exams and the dreaded 'Improvement Program'. With the way people spoke about the little vacation, anyone would think they were taking part in some demented Battle Royal. Tearing the envelope open, the female read over the brief message.
'Shin KiSe,
You have been selected to take part in this year's Development Program.
Please attend the meeting in the assembly hall at 4:30pm - November 26th.
Congratulations on your acceptance.'
The woman sighed and pulled a dismayed expression. Her head fell back and a low grumble emitted her rouged lips. "This ."
