Five years away from the hometown she left due to unresolvable problems with just about everyone she knew, Nam HaeWon returns only when she stops receiving any kind of correspondence from her younger sister - HyeMi – her only living relative whom had stayed behind. After some searching, she is surprised to find that HyeMi had recently been prescribed a stint at a psych ward at the province’s most notorious hospital. At a dead-end for what to do when she realised she was a little too late, she has no choice but to emerse herself in the role of the person she tried to escape being in order to find her sister.
 
She is soon at the foot of the infamous ChuSeong Block - A self-enclosed, hollow square of dilapidated apartments in the most undeveloped part of town which has more history than some of the local landmarks – surrounded by police, a coroner’s van, and a rumours of yet another murder without a culprit. A creeping feeling that there was more to the story than she was being told, and the hearsay of her elders, her mind puts together that her sister has a darker role in the situation before she can even argue sense with herself. Solidifying her resolve, and trying to hide her own deep-rooted guilt for past misgrievances, HaeWon takes up residence in HyeMi’s apartment.

Surprised by more than the disturbing scriptures and scribbles stashed around her sister’s shoebox apartment, the young woman is quickly pulled into the more-than-concerning web of lies, debauchery, and death which is housed within ChuSeong – which happens to have shocking irrefutable ties to her very own past.
