"And what happened next?" 
"Nothing too impressive. We made love for the rest of the night. It was fast, hard and desperate, just the way I love it." 
"Desperate?" 
"Yes, my darling. He was so desperate to mark me, to make me stay, to make sure I won't disappear the next day. It was quite amusing, I would say." 
"I'm curious about something though.Were you serious?"
"Serious about what?" 
"About leaving him and never coming back?" 
She chuckles "It depends on what side you look at it from. Was I serious about being able to just get up, pack my bags and leave him behind? Sure I was. But that's where the tricky part comes. You always have to feel the difference between could do and want to."
"So what you're saying is, you could leave him anytime but you don't want to?"
"Exactly."
"Then why did you say that to him?"
"I like the power it gives me."
"What do you mean?"
"I'll give you a simple example, sweetie. Imagine you got caught by some strange man with a gun. You both stay still in the middle of nowhere. You can't run nor you can hide. He takes the gun and places it against your temple. You are stricken by fear and the only thing you see is the gun. You stand there wondering wherever he will pull the trigger."
"But what does that have to do with you?"
"It is the same with me and Kris. Except this time, I am the man with the gun."
 

Foreword

A story about how a simple romance between two equally confident people can bring out the cruel truth of one's life.


A/N
Bleh. Basically word vomit by yours truly.
Honestly, I got tired of females always portrayed as weak and dependant, so this is what I came up with.
Therefore this story will revolve around Jessica. (and Kris, thats y beast)
Why Jessica? I don't really know. When I tried to think of a person that could suit the theme and character of this story, she was the first one in mind.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy the story.  Moreover, english is my second language, thus I'll be thankful if someone notes me and corrects the  grammar errors I have here.
Critique is welcomed as well.
Hopefully the sneakpeak was helpfull, because I'm afraid that this story will end up as a trainwreck.
Oh well.

Chapter 18: I honestly feel hurt for Jessica now. She was alone and never had anyone except herself. Being strong is hard and it has its consequences. Jessica must be really confused and broken. She needed Kris so she could be ready to move on and have a real life, without Krystal by her side. She needed someone who loves her more than anything, and to show her reality just like Kris. This was the perfect time for Krystal to leave, when Kris comes in.
