B u l l e t # 6.
She's A Gun.Author's sad. And now Jessica is sad. Therefore I present a lame chapter which will proably be deleted in the future. Here's a good song for a sad chapter.
“It’s raining.” Jessica says as she stands next to the window and watches people pass by her house.
“Great! I love the rain!”
“Do you?”
“Of course. There’s nothing better than a rainy lazy day spent in bed.”
“I see.”
“Why? You don’t like it?”
“I guess so.” She sighs and continues gazing through the window.
“What’s wrong?”
“Ever have those days when you just can’t help, but feel sad?”
“Why the long face, love?”
“I’m sad.”
“What’s wrong?”
“Everything’s fine.”
“Did you get into a fight?”
“No.”
“Got fired?”
“No.”
“Got hurt somewhere?”
“No.”
“Then why are you sad?”
“Do I need to have a reason to be sad?”
“I think so..?”
“Well I don’t.”
“Wow, so you really do have feelings.”
“If I wasn’t so sad, I would punch you.”
“You want to talk about it?”
“No.”
We stay silent as I continue to gaze through the window.
“I want to sleep. Sleep for a thousand years.”
“Why a thousand?”
“Why not?”
He sighs and looks at me.
“You know, sometimes even the strongest fall. All they need is someone to pick them up. And I’m here for that.”
“I don’t see why everyone has this strange idea that we should always be happy. If I have a reason to be sad, then I will be sad.”
“But isn’t it better to be happy than sad?”
“Maybe. But then again, how am I supposed to be happy when I don’t know how it feels like to be down?”
“I want to help you, but I don’t know how.”
“Well then maybe you don’t need to, love. Not everything in life has to be positive. It doesn’t matter that I’m sad. What matters is that I’m still alive.”
“And what happened next?”
“We sat in silence for an hour or so.”
“Just like that?”
“Sometimes the silent presence of someone is more powerful than a million empty words.”
