It’s Chanhee here again, I haven’t been updating my story in a while, sorry about that Mr. Notebook!

Now I’m going to share a special moment in my life, a special memory that me and Byunghun share. It goes into the future, about a year later.

It’s the year 2007, and we’re all in the fifth grade. K-pop is becoming more and more popular with new girl group debuting like the Wonder Girls and Girls’ Generation, me and my friends were fans of them as they became hallyu stars.

But, there’s more to that time. All I have to say is, I dedicate this chapter to you, Appa! Saranghae! <3

Fifth Grade (Year 2007):

“Chanhee-ah!” I heard my name being yelled, the voice was too familiar. It was dark at night, and I was sitting on a swing at a playground near my house, crying while thinking of what happened a moment ago.

“Appa, what do you mean that you’re leaving?” I asked him, with tears dripping from my cheeks. I didn’t know what to do right now.

“Chanhee, my sweet son.” My dad said as he knelt down to wrap his arms around me, I laid my head on his shoulder. “I’m leaving to join the military. It’s something I need to do, I’m so sorry.”

“Appa, how long are you going to be gone?” Woohee asked, sobbing as much as I was, and she never cried.

“This may leave you guys heartbroken, but I’ll be gone for about 6 years.” Did he just say, six years?

“NO!!!!!!!” I pushed my Appa away, and he looked at me with a lot of worry. “You can’t leave me and Chohee, what about Umma? She works all day from the morning to the evening, who’s going to take care of us from home?!” I yelled at him.

“Chanhee-ah, me and you’re Appa had a talk last night, he needs to go serve for our country.” My Umma explained.

“Appa, don’t leave!” I stood up and went for the front door. I run away,
