When I First Saw Him
Give Me A Hint (My Real Love Story)Hello, Chanhee here, and I have a story that I would love to share with who ever finds this notebook. This is the story of how me and my best friend, Byunghun, became one.
The first time I ever fell in love with him was right when I first time I layed eyes on him. We were quite young.
Fourth Grade (Year 2006):
I was in my class, sitting in front of the desk all alone, while all the other kids had been seated with partners. I was in the middle of getting my math homework completed when I hear voices in Korean, me being the only one that could understand.
"Umma! I don't want to be here!" I heard a boy yell, sounding a bit older than me.
"You have to, this isn't an option Byunghun-ah." A woman's voice was then heard, probably the boy's Umma. Byunghun? Such a perfect name.
I turn around, and them my eyes are locked onto a Korean boy named Byunghun, that back then had jet black hair, tall height, and an intense stare. My hands on the back of the chair, I stare at him for a while.
"Aish, this is embarrassing, everyone here is younger than me. They're going to make fun of me!" So, the boy must have been held back.
"They won't make fun of you. These kids are your dongsaengs. Make friends with them."
"How can I become friends with them? My English is no good!" I saw the boy pout, he looked really handsome, which I just noticed.
"Aigoo!" The mother knelt down to hug her son. "Mianhae, I couldn't even teach my own son English! What to do?"
"Aniyo Umma, I'll be good, don't worry." The boy reassured her. I smiled at the sweet family moment in front of me.
"Will you be okay, you sure?" She asked him and he simply nodded. "Okay, Umma's leaving. Take care!"
"Arasso!" The boy smiled, what a perfect smile it was.
As the Umma left, the teacher walked up to him and had some sort of discussion. I started to pay attention to the other kids in the class room.
"Who's that Asian kid?" One boy says.
"He's supposed to be in the fifth grade, but he got held back this year, it's also his first day here." A girl says.
