Anastasia: Cries of the Stage
Min...
Min's eyes shut tightly. She did not want to see or hear anything.
Min...please open your eyes.
The voice was familiar. It was comforting. But despite that, Min did not have the courage to open her eyes. She could not stop breathing heavily at the scary sight. She could not unsee what she saw.
Min...please. Trust me.
Min tightened her eyes to shut even more, in hope that any voice would not reach her. Fear could not describe what she was feeling.
Anastasia...
She felt a cool breeze around her neck, and she tensed even more.
Anastasia...please. I am sorry I left.
Yes. He should be sorry. He should feel guilty. He should definitely be sorry for leaving Min alone.
She opened her eyes when she felt an arm wrap around her shoulder.
"Anastasia..." Gikwang whispered. "Please look at me." Min relaxed in his hold, not feeling afraid of the ghost that had his arm around her. Instead, she leaned closer into his embrace.
The rationality had not occurred to her. Logic did not come by. Reason was out of the window. She was in a state where no thinking was possible.
But it wasn't long before reality struck her.
Gikwang could hold her.
Instead of panic, she looked up and saw Gikwang gently smiling at her. His smile was calming.
"Sorry I scared you." He spoke gently.
So it was him? Min bit her lip. She did not how to react. She was definitely scared. She would not deny. But she was relieved that it was only Gikwang. She had be waiting for him, been waiting to see him, to talk to him.
Min did not say a word.
"Are you wondering why I came back?" Min made no attempty to answer. She made no attempt to make a gesture to reply to his question.
Min was silent.
"I am worried for you Min."
Min looked at him. It was perhaps the first time she heard him address her as Min. It was different. Her name rolled off his tongue in a different manner
